I love Stein Mart for their deals and size. They have department store brands but on a smaller scale. I love that I can go in and find a must have item and be out in less time without having to trek miles and miles in a mall. Most of their clothes are not my taste but I have spotted a thing or two I would buy. I go for their accessories, handbags, perfumes, and home items. This particular store gets only 3 stars for their service. Some of their staff is rude and that just ruins it some for me.

I am always able to wrangle up great find off the sales rack for brand name items. They always have additional coupons available, as well, for those regularly priced items. It is in a convenient location off a major road and they have plenty of parking on their own parking lot. It is never packed making shopping comfortable. They always seem to have plenty of people working the floors in case you have questions. Their dressing rooms are spacious but don’t have convenient mirrors(no tri-fold mirrors inside of the dressing room). I love occasionally visiting this place and leaving with a bag full for a bargain!

Be careful when shopping the sales or trying to redeem coupons. Today — I was not paying attention and two of the items which I bought on «sale» did not received the discount promised at the register. I also was given a MAJORATTITUDE — by a women who I assumed was a manager at the register — when i tried to redeem a coupon for 20% off any full price shoe — she immediately told me that there are no shoe coupons and the coupon which I held was expired — very loudly for all those around to hear! I told her that I had just received the coupon in the mail today and told her that the coupon did not expire until 4÷19÷2015 — she turned away from me — and waved her hand at the young lady ringing me up — without an apology to me. Honestly, why do people go in to customer service — when they are at baseline grumpy and unhelpful. Now, I need to make another trip back there tomorrow to have them charge me the correct priced for 2 sale items — you had better believe that I am going to request an additional discount for my inconvenience. Now, typically, although you have to hunt for the bargains(the racks can be jammed) — I will continue to shop there and avoid the known grumpy manager(you know who you are!). I must say that their quality of merchandise has declined in recent years — which is another disappointment.

I used to write this store off as an «old lady store» and boy was I wrong! This place is loaded with fabulous finds! In addition to some trendy dresses, they have a lot of name brand items including Seven for All Mankind, Vera Bradley, Jessica Simpson, and Betsey Johnson. It’s also a great stop to find useful and unique birthday gifts. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that they have sales every week!

Definition: Stein Mart(noun): Marshalls + clothing from shoe labels, like Bandolino + Jessica Simpson wear + cheap unknown labels on funkier clothes. I saw some dresses for FOURDOLLARS on the mega sale rack in the front of the store recently and a cute bejeweled cardigan that was under $ 10. However, where price drops, so does quality and I couldn’t bring myself to purchase those things. Other than the chaos that spelled SALERACK, what caught my eye were the less-$-than-Dillard’s fancy jackets and trench coats. I’m a little«eek» about the quality of those items since their brands are obscure, especially when we’re talking about plunking down several crisp twenties. Solution: Wait a few months and then return to browse the *hopefully* revolving sale rack. Back of the store: Shoes. NOTOOTHPICKHEELS. Only comfortably high pumps to browse through, like the Nine West ones which were on clearance for $ 25. The sunglasses, hosiery, scarves, and jewelry were in the middle of the store, so elbow and twist your way through the little chaos of sparkle, color, and women-your-mother’s age. Can’t say I’m a fan of SM, but that’s what you get when you’re store hoppin it down Preston Road.

I have never been a big Stein Mart fan until now. I kind of thought that only older ladies shopped there. I gave Stein Mart another chance this weekend. It was… awesome. I have been keeping my eye out for gifts and a holiday dress for me to wear at Christmas. The clothes here are for a more mature audience but I still had fun browsing. I found a hilarious set of wine glasses to gift. They had glitter and said things like Fabulous or Party Girl. The glasses also had 3-d boobs which I thought was hilarious. Lets talk accessories. How did I miss this place!!! They have a variety of half priced Betsy Johnson leggings and socks. I also got a really cute pair of Betsy sunglasses for 20 dollars! They had other brands like Steve Madden, Rocawear, and Calvin Klein. I picked up some half priced Izod pj pants for my boyfriend. They are so comfortable I end up stealing them out of his drawer all the time. There are some cute sweaters for guys. And some not so cute ones with hunting ducks and camo. This place is pretty reasonably priced and they are always having a sale. I am a brand new Stein Mart fan!
