I used to love this place, but in the past year, the quality of food has gone down drastically. I probably ordered from here for the last time yesterday. I ordered chicken and shrimp fried rice EXTRA spicy, but what I got was bland fried rice, non spicy, some bland white pieces of chicken and shrimp. I also ordered broccoli beef, but the beef had good weird after-​taste that made me gag. I’m not sure what happened, but I don’t think I’ll ever order from here again.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. HORRIBLE customer service, they are THIEVES! We placed a group order online for delivery. After waiting over an hour and being charged for everything, they forgot 2 orders of combination fried rice and one order of crab Rangoon. When we called to resolve this issue, they were very rude and they would not bring us our missing orders and when we asked for our money back, they said they would only refund $ 6. The food that did arrive tasted awful and was cold and rubbery. It should be shut down. Shame on you Skillman Wok! SHAME ON YOU!

I would rate this business with zero stars if I could, but sadly I cannot. My coworkers and I ordered a group ticket online from this establishment and after an hour and a half of waiting we finally got our food, only to be missing three meals. We called the business and asked to speak to a manager and not only was nothing done, but the manager seemed almost indifferent to our problem. She did nothing to remedy the situation, other then tell us that the online ordering system is done through a third party and she needed to have a fax of our ticket sent over. She was even rude to and yelled at my coworker over the phone. The manager continued to tell us that she could only refund 6.75, even though there were three meals missing that cost more around 12 dollars total. The meals missing were the combination fried rice (two orders) and a crab Rangoon. We asked them repeatedly to deliver the missing meals but they said they would not do so, and when asked to refund the appropriate amount would not do so.
The food we did receive was not only cold, but tasted like rubber. The beef was thick and hard to chew and tasted bland and the pot stickers were under cooked.
This place needs to be shutdown and never opened again.
The staff does not care about quality product or quality customer service. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Horrible Service
Ordered togo food, hair was in food & missing items. Called them and store was closed. Came back next day for refund and they «don’t do refunds».
Do not recommend at all
And I brought back the food showing the hair, and they only offered to make me more… Why would I want more when there was hair in first order?!

Lo mein was terrible. I couldn’t even eat it. Spring roll was terrible… I only had one bite. The egg drop and wonton soups were OK. I ordered two cokes and they delivered one pepsi. :-/
I’m sure I will never order from this place again.

Got sweet and sour chicken, once I started eating I bit into a staple. I simply just wanted my money back because I was to disturbed to try anything else there but the owner refused to pay me back

My boyfriend and I ordered the spicy Teriyaki wings from here last night for delivery. The first thing I noticed was that they were much larger than any wing I’ve ever eaten. Then, when I took a bite they were incredibly fatty. There is no way these were CHICKEN wings, in fact I question if these were from a similar species. Could they have been Voucher wings, or maybe even a small animals legs. I am very disgusted that an establishment would actually serve people animal parts outside of their menu description. This is being reported to the State Dept. Of Public Health!

I ordered a beef and shrimp special and it was great! The sauce was spicy and went well with the beef and shrimp. I also had the hot and sour soup which was really good too. The delivery didn’t take very long and the food was nice and hot when it arrived.
Prices were great and I will definitely keep the menu for future orders!

I’ve been in Dallas for three years now. I have yet to find a chinese take out place that is as good as any of the places back home. However, Skillman Wok comes pretty close. It’s right down the street from our apt complex so if i dont want to wait, I can just order online and walk down to pick it up. The food itself is tasty, always hot & fresh, and nice portions. Delivery is pretty quick too usually.

First visit, found hair in food.
Had heard this place was worth trying as they give good portions for the price. Wasn’t really let down there, but nearly everything else did. The meat had a greenish tinge to it (ordered beef lo mein) but tasted ok — it wasn’t until I was about halfway through and found a short graying hair that I lost my appetite completely (I have long red hair). The fried rice had nearly no flavor but the egg roll was fine.
Probably spend a little bit more elsewhere for a meal that’s more worth it. Maybe De Rice Thai Cuisine?

I’ve been ordering from here for years. The price is low, portions high and quality perfect.

I really like this place. I order the chicken teriyaki and it comes with steamed veggies. I have ordered other odds and ends. Everything has been good. I get my food in 30min to an hour depending on the time of day. The have good customer service too. I’m pretty picky and I’m usually always pleased with my orders.

Sesame chicken was almost inedible. It was not crispy, just soggy… and the quality of the meat was very subpar. The appetizers and soups I’ve ordered from here were bland and pretty gross. I’ve avoided ordering from this place after the second time I accidentally ordered delivery from them again and was reminded how bad it was the first time.

I was largely disappointed. The prices are nice, but the food isn’t. I’ll have the leftovers but I probably won’t ever eat from this place again.

Took a chance and ordered from here tonight despite the mixed reviews — just wanted some good cheap Chinese. This is the place for it! We got the orange chicken and the chicken fried rice. The orange chicken was good. Not spicy at all (like it says) but the sauce is good, and I like that the breading is thin — which may be why some think it’s soggy.
The chicken fried rice is delicious. The vegetables taste very fresh, although the onion is kind of strong (like someone mentioned) — but I like that!
In general, everything tastes great, it got here in less than 20 min, and it was cheap. Will definitely order from here again.

I ordered from here a few nights ago. The thing I liked the most was the guy who was taking my order wasnt hard to understand for once! I ordered this amazing vegetable dish with some egg drop soup. Very satisfying.
The service was fast, the food was good and they didnt need help finding my apartment! I’ll definitely order again.

I ordered from here last night, of course I picked it up (especially reading the delivery reviews) and it wasn’t THAT bad. Food is pretty cheap here and some of it was a tad bit salty. Depending on what you get the food can be a bit bland. The probability of me ordering again is slim, but they do have awesome egg rolls!

Well, I am not really impressed with the food. Went here for lunch because a co-​worker said it was nearby. Sure, every place deserved a chance .
The prices are cheap compared to other take out places. Now I know why. The food is below average. I ordered 12 lemon pepper wings for $ 5. They were all wingettes. Not a single drumette out of the 12. They were over cooked and the lemon flavor was too much. I only ate 4 and gave the rest away.
Won’t be coming back to this place. They looked okay, but did not meet the standards.

Pros: They answer the phone within four rings
Cons: Ridiculously long delivery wait; excuses, excuses, excuses…
The thing I disliked the most about Skillman Wok was not the fact that the delivery guy arrived an hour and a half after placing our order with a seeping, wet paper sack full of incorrect order.
What I disliked most was the barrage of excuses we had to endure from (presumably) the manager when we called to inquire about their tardiness.
If you wish to ignore my one star rating and give them a try, I should take this opportunity to prepare you for some of the pitiful excuses you’ll receive from ownership/​management as you sit at home watching Modern Family with a rumble in your tummy waiting on cold rangoons…
«He’ll be there in five minutes» — the guy showed up 20 minutes after we called, 45 minutes into our wait.
«The driver doesn’t have the gate code» — the gate was wide open.
«This is what you ordered» — Wrong. I ordered online, and have the documentation. …and I damn sure didn’t request you arrive after the food was cold.
«Shit!» — Well, this was less of an excuse, and more of an exclamation from the owner or manager after our second call to report our food had not arrived.
Oh, and I hear they have Mexican food too.
