Dr. Newman is THE guy for contacts. His staff is friendly, and I really like they have a new Optus machine (i think that’s the name) that allows you to forego the normal dilation process and just take a picture of the back of the eye. It let’s me go back to work instead of being out of commission for a couple hours because I can’t see. Not too expensive either ($ 39) since you’re only doing it once a year.

Dr. Newman is one of the best optometrists in the city, especially for contact wearers. Over the four years I’ve been a patient, he’s gone above and beyond in diagnosing a few issues, and made me feel completely informed and at ease in light of them – such a nice change! He’s a great doctor and truly cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him for your eye care needs!

Having flown to Dallas from Denver without either glasses or my contact lenses, I was in trouble. Three days to go and only one pair of daily wear lenses. CRAP.
After having contacted 4 different optometrists, I called Plaza Vision, who told me to come over with my prescription and they’d see what they could do. Walking into the office, the staff was just so incredibly nice, and helpful… what a difference from the other local doc’s offices. So, I handed over my prescription, and they took it back to the doc, Dr. Newman.
GO FIGURE… he actually personally knew my optometrist from Denver. Within about 20 minutes, they’d called my doc, waited for the office to track him down, gotten agreement on a suitable substitute, and gotten me into some contacts for the next few days. After the first few phone calls to other places, I never thought that it would happen today. WHAT A RELIEF.
So, if you want fantastic customer service, please try out Plaza Vision… they’re a wonderful breath of friendly fresh air in an age of places that really don’t care about you.
