So happy I found this place! I always am looking for restaurants with a great bar, cool vibe, free wifi for working on my laptop and a great happy hour. This place is great. It is dark and classy, beautifully decorated inside, fantastic service, has a Capital Grill vibe without the pricetag and obnoxious clientele. Their Mushroom Vegetarian burger was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. It is like magic, I don’t know how they do it but it looks and is cooked like a beef patty but entirely mushrooms. It had the most insanely delicious flavor, on a super soft yummy brioche bun with a nice mixed greens salad on top with a flavorful aioli sauce. I had it with their cole slaw which is super creamy and unique. Their happy hour cannot be beat, 3 – 7 everyday with $ 5 wine and apps, and lots of $ 5 cocktails. What I love most is that they are a 100% scratch kitchen, and use All Natural meats, sustainable Seafood, Free Range Chicken, and organic greens. Also played great tunes the entire time I was their working on my laptop. Definitely will be my go to working lunch spot.

Hello, I traveled with my friend to Dallas and one of its person advised us to visit the«Paul Martin’s American Grill». This place has a very friendly staff and polite security. Many thanks to our waiter, which is more than a professional while doing his job! In general, a great place to relax, we will definitely come back!

My husband and I went here on a Thursday night to celebrate our one year anniversary. We arrived around 6, while the happy hour was still going on. We were seated immediately by a hostess who couldn’t be heard very well. I loved the food! We shared a salt & pepper shrimp appetizer and I had a bistro burger, hubby had a french dip. My only complaint was the large portion of fries. Neither of us could finish them and it seemed like a waste of food. The waitstaff was dressed nicely, ties and vests, but we saw a couple of customers come in wearing shorts. Given the waitstaff uniforms and price of food maybe there should be a dress code of business casual.

This place used to be good. We live close by and have noticed a decline in the food quality since they first opened. It’s too bad, because the atmosphere is great. I’m starting to question if everything is as fresh as they claim. My wife ordered a shrimp pasta that tasted like it was reheated from the day before. My salmon was pretty pathetic — very thin, overcooked, and also tasted old. At least it was expensive. We do need a good neighborhood spot with good food. This would be a 1 star review, although they do have a great lunch. Unfortunately, we won’t be back for dinner.

This is my new favorite place to be in Dallas!!! Paul Martins has the best happy hour in town 7 days a week from 3 – 8.They use the highest quality of ingredients in each dish and to top it off they also infuse there own raspberry and lemon infuse vodka to make there signature raspberry martini and meyor lemon dro, and many more great signature cocktails. Great staff and great management team that will make sure you are enjoying every minute of you’re dining experience. I will for sure be returning to try that savory brick chicken and there fresh oysters!!!

I deeply enjoyed the warm quinoa bowl. It was seasoned well — earthy and smoky. Nothing about it was subtle and each bite made me want to keep going. I enjoyed a Pinot Noir with this dish, which was right on. I typically opt for a cab but I decided to try something outside my comfort zone with this dish. I’m glad that I did — I think a deep dense cab would have been too overpowering for this dish. I enjoyed the restaurant’s outdoor patio and would really like to experience it at night. I’m definitely heading back soon.

Favorite place. Clean attentive food(beef dishes) out if this world. Salmon awesome also. Calamari spinach dip house bread. Charisse at the bar. Rachael the server have built the bar so high and we have never been disappointed. It’s our minimum 9th time here. Contemporary American dishes

Let me start by saying the atmosphere of this place is amazing. The décor, lighting and layout is super cool. However this is a restaurant and the food was marginal at best and drinks are expensive. Our party arrived early 5:30ish, supposedly still happy hour and a vodka soda was $ 10. We split the Cobb salad for an appetizer which was enough for three people but was overdressed. Ribeye medium was very thin and tough but seasoned well. Brussels were served almost raw and flavorless despite the menu stating they were sautéed. The best thing we ordered was the cauliflower. Great flavor and perfectly cooked. If the food matched the atmosphere I would definitely be back. Unfortunately not the case.

Paul Martin’s American Grill offers an excellent dining experience! The atmosphere is inviting, the food and drinks are delicious, and the service is fantastic. My boyfriend and I decided to try out Paul Martin’s American Grill for the first time late on a Saturday evening. We called around 7:00PM, and the hostess was more than happy to make us a reservation for 9:30PM. We don’t normally dine out so late, but it’s always nice to have the option! Upon arrival, we both loved the restaurant’s layout, décor, and warmly lit atmosphere. It’s a large space, but still has an intimate feel due to the well-designed floor plan, which mixes small booths, large communal tables, and candlelit 4-tops. The staff is polite, professional, and knowledgable about the menu. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that one of our favorite servers, Ryan, who we’d originally met at another high-end restaurant, would be waiting on us! He treated us very well and made excellent suggestions on the menu. To start, I ordered the Crop Cucumber Refresher and my boyfriend got a Maker’s and water. The Crop Cucumber Refresher definitely lived up to its name — very refreshing! It’s dry, but not too dry, and definitely not over-sweetened. The Maker’s and water was a bit expensive($ 13), but a nice, stiff pour, so no complaints there. For an appetizer, we ordered the Butcher’s Board. The board featured an excellent variety of cheeses(2 goat’s milk and 1 cow’s milk) and meats(prosciutto, black peppered salami, and coppa) accompanied by a mixture of olives and Marcona almonds. For entrees, I ordered the Chimichurri Chicken and my boyfriend ordered the Brick Chicken. My bone-in chicken breast was well spiced and juicy, and the chimichurri sauce was great! It had a nice herby taste with a bit of a citrus bite. The Brick Chicken, which is a half-chicken pressed flat and seared on both sides, was crispy, but still very juicy. We also got a side of seasonal vegetables(brussel sprouts), which was a bit too salty for my taste, but not totally unenjoyable. All in all, we had a wonderful time and are excited to return soon!

We stopped in on a Friday night after reading the reviews. We were greeted quickly and warmly. We had a choice of the Happy Hour in the bar area or full dinner service. Reservations weren’t required but on a busy night would have been recommended.(It had been raining buckets all day so not sure how that affected the Friday night turnout.) We chose the dining room(bar was very crowded and louder than I like). I didn’t realize I’d not finished with my review and it’s been several months now. I remember the food being excellent and the waiter being wonderful. I’d definitely go back but probably on a special occasion. The $$$ was worth it, but not what I spend casually.

PMAG! PMAG, please never let me down. I’m too in love. Grab dinner here one night– change plans the next night so that I can eat here AGAIN. Then it’s Sunday, so of course I need PMAG for dinner again! And last night — b/c more friends need to be introduced to this place and b/c life is too short to not have dinner at PMAG on a Tue. …their butter lettuce salad– please no one touch it so there’s more for me!(yes I’ve ordered 2 in the same sitting before) Deducted one star b/c horror of horrors, i ordered that salad to go once — and they GAVEMETHEWRONGVINAIGRETTE! I almost tore down walls in frustrations!

I’ve been here a few times now, and each time I’m really digging it! From the drinks, the small plates, and even full on meals, each time I find myself enjoying not just the food but the overall experience. I love how you can come here for a girls night, dinner at the bar, or even a special occasion; it’s kind of a one stop fits all! My fav type of way to enjoy this place is on a weekend where my friends and I will stop in for some of their specialty crafted cocktails, and some small bites to start off our night. Sometimes we will even order a few of the menu items to split between our group. Does it add up? Yes of course; after all, you’re not eating at McDonalds. However, you’re definitely not going to be disappointed with what you’re enjoying to even the ambiance. Key items to order: –Butcher Board: first off, at most places you cannot go wrong with a good ol’ meat and cheese assortment! If you look behind the bar you can even see in their little meat locker they have where they carve out the fresh slices to accompany your board –Kale Caesar: I love a good Caesar that packs a punch of anchovies! This salad delivers on that, and provides a good feel of heartiness so it doesn’t feel like you’re eating rabbit food. Not overly creamy and drenched either! –Mesquite Grilled Salmon– light and refreshing with a nice lemon citrus note. Perfectly cooked, with just enough of an accent from the flavors but not overbearing to take away from the salmon itself! –Wine/Drinks– Such a great list of wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails as well! Normally I don’t order any crafted drinks as they are always overly sweet and muddled with extra random flavors. But the list here is pretty straight forward, not a lot of filler, and stiff enough where you don’t feel like you’re drinking sugar water! Overall, come here and take your time! Make this restaurant your next go to when you’re wanting to get out of the house, sit at the bar, and just lounge around a bit!

My boyfriend and I decided to check out this place for their Monday night dinner for two special. This included 1 bottle of wine(a choice from 26 great bottles), 2 salads, &2 main courses, all for $ 50! The interior of this restaurant is elegant. Dimmed lighting, modern furniture & large open layout. Very romantic with a casual vibe which we enjoyed very much. We had reservations for 5:45 and were promptly seated along with several other couples coming in at about the same time. It was a good 10 minutes before anyone came to greet the table after we were seated. A couple of waters were dropped off by one waiter then 5 minutes later we were surprised when a new waiter popped up asking if we were ready to order. It seems the overall service management was slightly out of tune. For starters we ordered a bottle of Jacuzzi wine which was phenomenal — highly recommend it. We added an appetizer of brussel sprouts & loved them. Sourdough bread was served complementary. The salads came shortly after. They were made with a spring mix & house vinegarrette. My boyfriend enjoyed it most — he ate all of his as well as the half I couldn’t finish. I had the brick chicken for my main course & loved it. It was served as boneless/skinless dark meat on top of mashed potatoes. Great flavor and relatively healthy! My boyfriend had one of the steak dishes & mentioned that it was cooked to perfection. Lastly, my boyfriend ordered a banana cream pie. It was unique with a chocolate layered crust & very fresh. Delicious. We really enjoyed this meal & experience! My boyfriend was so impressed he recommended we make it a Monday ritual!

So I came back and ordered the salmon again, specifying that I wanted it cooked medium rare. My wonderfully-outspoken friend told the waiter that the salmon had been overcooked the last time I ordered it. And this time, it was cooked to perfection — pink and slightly raw in the middle. Paul Martin’s has been redeemed in my eyes. :) A few notes about dessert. I’ve tried both the apple cinnamon crisp and the banana cream pie. Two thumbs up for the apple cinnamon crisp, which is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. As for the banana cream pie, I’ve noticed on every visit there that it’s highly recommended by the waiters. And I like it, but I don’t love it. The last time I had it, the crust on the bottom was so hard that I had a hard time breaking it off with my fork. Finally, service has always been very friendly and attentive on every visit. Paul Martin’s is not the most exciting culinary experience, but it’s mostly solid and good.

Semi-new restaurant in the area means one more place for me to try and an excited Sara! My BF and I came in on a Monday night for an early dinner. We were immediately seated in a booth and both taken aback by how pretty the inside of the restaurant was. It was dim, had lovely paintings on the wall and quite spacious. Our server was very nice and attentive. We started off with a bottle of Chardonnay which was okay. I’m more of a(sweet) moscato kind of gal so I was satisfied with water. The house salad was actually really good and I almost feel like I enjoyed that the most. For my entrée, I ordered the chimichurri chicken which was really good. The flavor was wonderful and seasoned well. My BF ordered the steak frites and it was great! The steak was cooked medium well, as requested and SO tender. The fries that came with the steak was thinly sliced and had the perfect crunch. Glad we got to try a new spot. I don’t know if I would return anytime soon, but maybe in the near future.

My friend and I try a new place once a week, and this was next on our list. The atmosphere and wait staff of the place is very nice. Our server was very honest with us, which is something I always loved. I hate it when people try to sell you the most expensive item just to make more money. My friend ordered a fish fish, and I ordered the vegetable pasta with added chicken. My pasta was so delicious, I loved it– even the people next to me asked me what I got. It had vegetable swirls and pesto sauce throughout the dish, and was flavored perfectly! The chicken was so incredibly dry though I couldn’t even eat it. My friend was very disappointed with the size of his dish. It was small and just not very filling for the price. The taste was mediocre, nothing to write about.

Happy hour 3 – 8EVERY day? You, dear Paul Martin, have won my heart. I’m so glad my friend Margaux and I had an impromptu lunch here after getting our nails done on a Saturday. The décor is straight out of an upscale interior design magazine. The staff is sweet, honest, classy, and patient. It’s also nice to have FREE lot parking. Who doesn’t get tired of valet in Dallas? To start, we ordered some cocktails and the calamari. The limoncello bubbly was recommended and did not fall short. The whiskey cocktail I ordered from their menu was also very good. I’m definitely a whiskey lover. The calamari was cooked and seasoned wonderfully. They have something for everyone on the menu. I had the steak frites. It was beautiful and the steak was cooked to perfection. My friend had the fish tacos. They were filled with so much salmon! They also offer a pre-fixe Sunday brunch which sounds worth trying. I can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu… and make a return for happy hour!

The staff was very attentive without hovering, very good recommendations. The calamari was large and on if the best I’ve had. The fish tacos were Salmon! Excellent plating presentation and value for your money. Best part happy hour is from 3 – 8 everyday! $ 5 craft cocktails and $ 5 appetizers.

Great new American food place! Paul Martin’s is prominent in the Cali area, I am so happy they decided to open one in Dallas and will be opening another Texas location next year! If you want to dine here, it’s recommended that you make reservations. If not you can dine in the bar area which can get pretty packed due to their great happy hour food and drink options. Not only they have great HH specials, the also have brunch and dinner specials offered in select days! HH specials: I ordered the meat and cheese board during happy hour and was quite impressed with the spread for only $ 9.00. They have a specialty meat and cheese carving station behind the bar where you can see a person prepare the board! I also ordered the ahi tuna poke, which was seasoned well, fresh and had a generous amount of the fish and avocado. The only thing I didn’t care about this dish was wonton chips. The triangles were too large and when you try to bite into it, all of it would crumble and drop everywhere. When you try to break the triangle in half, it would crumble as well. The wonton chip was delicate so there wasn’t a best way to eat it together. For my dinner, I ordered the steak and frites. Which was tender and the steak was sliced and paired with arugula salad on top of the steak. I like the salad as it help cut down some of the saltiness of the fries and how the steak was well seasoned. Overall the steak was tender, juicy, and tasted good. Next time I would just ask for the fries to have less or no salt.

I really like this spot! I’d been«eyeing» it, so we decided to try it one Sunday. A very sweet waitress explained that they are new to the area, and a chain out of California. Everything is made fresh, in-house — a fact that I love. When we saw that happy hour is daily, 3−8pm, we went with that! There are 3 entrée sized portions on the happy hour menu for $ 13, and that price includes a craft beer! We ordered the burger(fully loaded) and the fish and chips. I gave my hubby my craft beer and ordered a red wine on $ 5 happy hour special. Everything was delicious. The fish was crispy and not greasy. The burger was a perfect medium rare, and I loved the homemade pickles that came on it. Hubby also had to try the smoked chicken wings, because what man can resist a restaurant’s version of «hot wings.» I tasted a piece and they were very smoky with a crispy skin. The sauce that comes with them is a chipotle mayo. I enjoyed the spicy slaw on the side. There are some really great sounding cocktails for $ 5 as well during happy hour, and about 5 – 6 different wine and craft beer choices. The main menu is actually reasonably priced for such a nice restaurant. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I’ll be back!
