I normally love Paradise, but everything seemed«off» this visit. First, the coffee was empty, and I had to alert the staff to this. It stayed empty the whole visit. I resorted to decaf coffee, and it was so watery that it didn’t even taste like coffee. Once we got our food, the sandwich bread was hard and the top of it was slightly stale. I had the quiche and broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was awesome. The quiche was less than par. It had almost no flavor. We finally got around to the cookie and it was so hard :( I did talk to the manager, and he was extremely helpful. He understood about the quiche and offered a true apology. He also didn’t allow us to leave without a good cookie — he truly made this experience better. If you do come here, the broccoli cheddar soup is awesome, and their cookies are great!

Ain’t no paradise to me… What disappoints is the customer service and value. Why does it make me feel like I’m in a cafeteria line at school? Think it’s maybe the people. Their prices are also pretty high for what you get. There is nothing here that is exceptional and makes me want to come back, except maybe the chili. It’s pretty good and healthy with its vegetables. But for $ 5 for a cup, and then they charge 20% more to add onions and cheese… Just sprinkle some onions and cheese on your customer’s chili and don’t make a profit center out of every little item in your restaurant. Instead invest in customer service and satisfaction, and providing value in your products.

Decent food. Fresh and easy Checkout is a bit of a bottleneck and needs attention. Overall a good choice

Mainly stop by here when going to galleria for a pick me up: cookies! They have good cononut choc chip cookies and the mini oatmeal choc chippers are perfect size; also have good deals like buy 6 get 6 free.

I agree with what most people said here: worst customer service ever. We got there after 11 a.m. and the lunch line was blocked. We weren’t greeted by any of the 6 or so employees just standing around staring at us. Finally, my husband asked if lunch was being served and a female employee said, «Oh. Yes.» and removed the blockade so we could order. As she took our order, the female employee was SO rude. We had never been to Paradise Bakery before, so my husband asked her what’s good. She rolled her eyes and said, «Chicken Salad» and didn’t offer up any suggestions. I asked for my California Turkey to be heated and it wasn’t. My son’s kid PB&J was half of a sandwich, not sliced(it’s for children, really?) and there were maybe four chunks of cantaloupe in the fruit side, and when my husband went to pay for our meal, the cashier said, «Yeah, I’ll be right back,» and went into the back and never returned. My husband had to walk across the restaurant to pay for our meal, which isn’t a huge inconvenience, but one nonetheless. We were never asked how our meal was, if there was anything anyone could get us, or if they could help with at least directing us toward a booster seat. Save your money and go next door to Tin Star or find a Panera close; the food is good, but the customer service is horrible and I hate supporting places with poor customer service like this. Makes you wonder how on earth they’re still in business without any staff or management overhauls!

Now chicken salad was great!!! Paradise club sandwich was pretty good, but enjoyed the salad way more(don’t say that too often). Very good food, and cookie was good as well!

I stop for coffee and breakfast 3 to 4 times a week. I pass from Plano to Dallas on my way to work for at least 20 other restaurants and coffee shops but I would not change this place for any other. I arrive between 6:45 am to 7:30 am. The staff is always moving fast because sometimes it is already busy at that time, but they are always nice and friendly. The coffee is real coffee not like in other places where lattes taste only like warm milk. I recommend this place anytime you need a good breakfast and a positive morning start. I take my food to go but sometimes I meet with people there for breakfast business meeting. I like that the restaurant is big and we can stay there for long time without having to rush and leave the table for other customers.

CHIPPEDBOWLSEARN3 stars. Without chipped bowls we’d give 5 stars. The vegan Autumn Squash soup is awesome — so thick warming and creamy on a cold day :). Well balanced between sweet and salty, with warm cinnamon notes without cinnamon bitterness. LOVE this soup — but that chipped bowl it came in –yuck. Half the bowls at our table were chipped, another at our table has a chipped plate, for a 75% percent chipped mealware rate. NOTGOOD Sandwiches also arrived on chipped plates that did not look clean due to hard use, not actual filth. PC may want to rethink their dish situation.

We get in line and wait. Lady behind counter: what can I get you? Me: I’ll take the breakfast croissant please. Lady:(rudely) Breakfast line is over there with catering pick up. We move and go wait in the other line. Me: I’ll take the breakfast croissant please. Lady: We don’t serve breakfast anymore, it’s 11. If you want to order food, go to that line over there for lunch. wtf –_– forget it.

«We don’t serve breakfast after 11» «Where does it say the hours?» «…Uh, I don’t know but we don’t.» If you’re going to plaster all the breakfast dishes on your menu and ONLY serve it during certain hours, you should make absolute sure that you at least post the hours it’s available. What a disappointment. We left hungry because our first experience was completely confusing and frustrating. It’s as if we should have known how they operate without having ever been there before.

This place is so unorganized — and the food is subpar — we added an item to our meal and it was like the place broke down and didn’t know how to deal with it — everyone looked at each other until one girl knew what to do — when the food came we didn’t get the soup — apparently they only bring ½ of ur food to the table — u have to get the other ½ I had chicken noodle soup– I think I counted 6 noodles — and zero flavor– and they were out of crackers — which personally I like crackers in my soup– it’s what I look forward too adding. Poor order management — how do u run out of crackers when 1⁄3rd of ur menu is soup? I also got Mac and cheese — it’s literally Kraft Mac and cheese — it’s disgusting –not much more to say about that — on a good note — my hubby’s veggie sandwich was good– and there’s the 1 star.

I eat here regularly at Paradise and I am giving it five stars for one main reason: their Cookies! They really do have the best cookies I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I don’t know how they do it, but they should just keep on trucking. As for the rest of the food, I would give it 4 stars. Their sandwiches are good(DC Chicken salad is my personal favorite). They have a great selection of salads and it is hard to go wrong with any choice. The place can be VERY chaotic at lunch time. But they have consistently good lunch food and incredible cookies so I will always be a fan. ~I came, I saw, I ate~

I love Paradise’s food but this location is poorly managed and moves very slowly. It is almost as though the staff has no training in customer service whatsoever. Came in for a to go order. They lost my ticket, informed me about it about 10 minutes after I had paid. They retook my order being careful about which of my sandwiches were half instead of whole. Seriously, after all that time you couldn’t just make whole sandwiches to speed the process along? After an additional five minutes, the girl who took my order walked by and let me know that it would probably be another five minutes. After 10 minutes everything was finally ready… no apology. I like their menu too much to not give only one star.

I arrived 7 minutes before 11:00 on a Satuday morning and was told I couldn’t order breakfast — strike 1. What kind of place like this stops serving breakfast at 11 on a weekend? Not far from Uptown or Downtown — lots of people in this area are out late and get their first meal of the day on Saturday or Sunday at 11:00 or noon — so if you have«Bakery» in your name you should be serving breakfast at least until noon on weekends — strike 2. Full disclosure: rating doesn’t reflect food as we just left.

I always get the vegetarian sandwich on a croissant, and it’s so very good. The veggies are fresh, the croissant is crispy and light, and they use this pesto mayo… yum! A sandwich comes with a chocolate chip cookie. Also, when you buy a sandwich, if you purchase a cookie, you get another one for free. The cookies here are FREAKINGAMAZING! Seriously, like driving-across-town worth it. I’d suggest the lemon zest or the snickerdoodle, and sometimes they have these killer ginger molasses cookies. They often have cookie samples set up right as you walk in the door. Honestly, I’ve been coming here for years. I used to live right on the other side of the tollroad from this place. Unfortunately, I’ve seen a decline in service. Actually, it’s more of a decline in the overall attitude of the employees. The atmosphere has become more lax, they all seem to be friends – which is cool. My issue is more with a few specific incidents that probably stem from this new and more«comfortable» atmosphere. One time I got there at 8:55, and the doors were already locked – even though they close at 9. Other times when I’ve been there late, closing up shop seems to be the main focus. I also really get the feeling that the people who ring me up want tips. I get it, but it’s annoying. One specific instance, this girl gave me a couple extra cookies, and even though I thanked her, she reminded me of the«free cookies» twice right as I was checking out. I guess it’s the sandwich shop version of a free shot at the bar? It seemed like tip-seeking behavior. It’s not so annoying that it deters me from one of my favorite sandwiches :)

Great location that is easily accessible from the Tollway and central to much of north Dallas. Good environment for a conversation over coffee or a meeting over breakfast or lunch. Large, open seating areas and high ceilings, so your conversations won’t feel quite so public. Can’t wait to have breakfast next time!

Always dependable with broad selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. I had the vega retina sandwich with vegetable soup and was more than satisfied. My daughter had the chicken salad salad which she loves and gets every time we come here. Gets crowded after 11:30 for lunch. Recommended.

A nice place for a quick lunch or a weeknight dinner. Bakery-style sandwiches, salads and soups(La Madeline without being French, Corner Bakery without the pretzels, etc.). I usually get the meal deal. It has a catchy name like a «plus one» or something. I am always a little confused about ordering. You get a ticket for your sandwich, but have to progress down a line and let the next person know what you need(your soup, your salad). And doesn’t that come with a cookie? Perfect for a quick weeknight, carry out dinner. You won’t be disappointed.

This is really my go-to sandwich and soup shop for one particular pair: the turkey cranberry sandwich and tomato soup. The bread used for the turkey cranberry is incredibly soft! I can even eat the crust and I rarely eat the crusts on bread! It’s a great simple sandwich that’s not smothered in five different sauces. The tomato soup is a hit or miss. More often it is sour and I can only take a few spoonfuls of it. It is very thick and clumpy with tomato chunks, good for people that like heartier soups. It’s huge on the inside with some outside seating. They have a bakery as well but I’ve never ordered anything from there. Their omelettes are small and just pitiful to look at, sprinkled with whatever meat or vegetables you want. Maybe I’m just a fatty and expect incredibly stuffed four egg omelettes the size of someones brain. Yeah, that’s how it should be done. I don’t expect much from a franchise café except that it’s clean, the food isn’t rotten, and the staff is friendly and quick. A-OK spot for me!
