This is the best noodle place to go in downtown, and the owner is very hospitable, everytime I go there they will suggest something that is not on the menu and they are delicious! I think I will miss this place a lot if I no longer work in downtown. Anyways. Highly recommend!

Great food, Horrible wait times! If you want to eat here, be sure to call in your order 20 to 30 minutes early. Exceptional noodle dishes, I’m excited to try them all!

I came in right before they close and I’m glad I came in just in time. I’m not from Dallas but I come frequently for work. I really wanted to have some sort of asian noodles and this place is where I ended up at. The restaurant is inside the building on the lower floor and is very casual. It’s a family owned business so they take pride in what they do and the food the serve. I talked to Eva and she was very pleasant and answered all my questions patiently. She also took care of my request to make the big rice noodle not spicy which was great! I really liked the meal. It wasn’t too salty and had just the right amount of sauce and a lot of meat toppings. It was a huge lunch, so I had left overs for dinner. The price was right for the portions. Definitely returning to try the other dishes in my future visits.

I like this place, my faves are the Kimchi noodle soup, Black Bean with flat noodle is yummy(yes it is greasy but I have a cast iron stomach ^_^), Udon soup and salads are delicious and good deals. Love the complimentary french bread and yes the wait is long if you come during rush hour. Do try the Dumplings, they are full of meat and includes dipping sauce.

Great Thai boba tea! The beef ramen was delicious; it is a big bowl of ramen noodles, plenty of veggies, and yummy broth. It gets busy at lunch, but it’s worth the wait. The owner and manager is very helpful and nice.

I have tried many different entrees from Noodle Nexus: the Lasagna, the Dan Dan Noodles, Pad Thai, egg rolles, Big Beef Noodles. All are pretty good except their edamame is mushy and rubbery – would not recommend the edamame. Their line is long, but that just is because the food is much better than the other restaurant options in the tunnels and it’s a popular spot. Today was my last day eating there, however. Customer service is really important to me, and the staff here isn’t very considerate of their customer base in my opinion. My Dan Dan Noodles were made wrong, so I took them back to have it remade with the proper ingredients. The lady was very rude and asked me why I had stirred the noodles and whether I had already eaten some of it. Where’s the customer service? My order was made wrong, please remake it. Simple as that. I was having lunch with a friend and the restaurant staff berated me in front of my friend by questioning me and saying«next time we will not remake it for you.» Next time? Given their poor customer service, there won’t be a next time.

This place is as good as it gets for lunch in downtown dallas. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and the chicken pad thai is their best dish along with the thai basil rice/fried rice. I’d give both of those dishes 5 stars and everything else 3 – 4 stars. Dont be afraid to get their italian items as well they are good and when on special you usually get a free drink which is always nice. The service is pretty quick considering how busy this place can get be prepared to wait a while if you hit the lunch rush. But like anything in the tunnels or downtown if there isnt a wait then you know its probably not that good. If you havent been get the chicken pad thai you will not be disappointed make sure to ask for extra spicy because the regular pad thai isnt spicy at all and when you ask for extra spicy it is still very moderate to not spicy. And again make sure you have time to sit down for lunch if you need something very quick i suggest going somewhere that isnt as good.

The Chinese chicken soup noodle was just okay. Did not like it much. Then tried Basil chicken hair pasta to change the taste. Dont know why but it was too sweet. Had to put hot sauce to eat. Nothing extra ordinary. Service was quick though. The chopstick pack cover has the story of origin of chop stick :)

I’m not going to lie, this place can get REALLYPACKED during lunch hours. It’s under the Republic Tower in downtown Dallas and most of the time when you actually go and eat there, it’s during lunch… And during lunch, it’s nothing but people that actually work around the area. It has limited seating inside the actual restaurant, however you can also take food outside to the«food court» area which has more tables. So far I’ve been here twice… The first time I had the Pad Thai, which wasn’t too bad, however I felt there was too little meat in it. From what I could remember, there was WAY more noodles and the pieces of chicken were small, and thinly sliced. The dish was good, but I was hoping there’d be more protein =/ The second time I went there, I had the«Big Rice Noodle W/Beef» dish… If you’re Laos/Thai/Viet, you’d know this to be «Lad Na» or «Hieu Tieu Xao» otherwise known as flat noodle stir fry. Now this dish was GREAT! However just like the last dish I had, there was very little meat… And this time I had chicken & beef. So let’s recap… The flavor is great, however they’re pretty shady with the amount of meat that they put. This is my main complaint, that and the fact that the atmosphere isn’t ideal because it’s so fast paced. If you do happen to go during lunch time, don’t… There’s usually a line out the door and it also takes a while to get your food. It’s a bit warm/stuffy inside and out of the restaurant… let’s not forget you also have limited seating. I’m giving this place 3 stars because of the reasons presented in this past paragraph. If it wasn’t so busy, and they added more meat to their dish portions, this place would be an easy 5 stars. I think they should open up a restaurant somewhere outside of the building!

I’ve been lunching here since 2008. They were pretty consistent(and delicious) until this year. I’ve had the Thai Basil Chicken, Pad Thai, and the Thai Fried Rice. Lately my experience has been that the noodle dishes are dry. One of my fav dishes, Pad Thai, used to have plenty of sauce, with the eggs and tofu tossed/cooked with it. Now it’s completely dry, no tofu(like 2 pieces), and the egg was clearly cooked separately and placed on top. Not good at all. The same dryness existed with the Thai Basil Chicken, and I payed for extra sauce! I am saddened by this because for the price, it was really good take-out. Maybe they hired different cooks in the last year. I’m hoping that my other fav, Thai Fried Rice, will not disappoint on my next visit. If that fails, I’m done. :-(

A-Okay, top notch Thai and Chinese dishes. I’ve tried several and never been disappointed, a coworker even order a steak salad last time that was extremely impressive. I’m not really sure about the Italian items they have on their menu, seems weird given the rest of the menu and haven’t ever dare to try them out but maybe someday…

Great place for lunch. You can call and order ahead if you are in a rush. I normally order the Phở. It can be hard to find seating during busy lunch hours(especially on Fridays), but there are seats outside the restaurant that can be used.

Avoid the soup based noodles. Treacherously over priced for overcooked udon noodles in msg water.

Damn solid place. I concur that you shouldn’t go out of your way, but if you live or work nearby, baby, it is ON. Very high sodium content based on my Singapore noodles and the bf’s Dan Dan noodles, but very nummy regardless. It gets super crazy busy just like everyone says, so if you’re not here between 11 and 11:30, I’d call your order in ahead of time! I admit to giving them serious side-eye when I noticed half the menu is Asian fusion(some Thai, some Chinese) and the other half is Italian(??). I get that it is probably helpful for the business groups who come in where at least one person isn’t into Asian cuisine(it happens, I hear), but generally it would raise a red flag in my head. So I can’t speak to the Italian side, but the noodles hit the spot just fine.

Half the fun of this downtown lunch spot is the walk there! It’s located in the tunnels that spider through downtown, eliminating the need to brave the elements(climate, cars, crazy people) outside. The restaurant features your Thai basics along with a few Italian dishes. I normally get the Thai basil chicken over rice but on my most recent visit, I decided to try the kim chi noodle soup. Yummy! The spicy broth is loaded with seafood, actually enough to share. As others have mentioned the wait for your food can be a little lengthy during peak hours — eating away minutes of your precious lunch hour, but this can be avoided by calling ahead.

The Honey Lemon Limeade is delicious!!! Get it or you are seriously missing out on something amazing. I always get their pad thai which is delicious but I am sad to see that this thai restaurant does not serve pad see ew. There is a good amount of tables inside and also outside. The people are really polite. It’s my go to place any time I go to the underground or the tunnels, whatever you like to call the area. If you’re in a hurry I would call ahead and order it to go.

I got the big rice noodle beef bowl. Great stuff. I dare say it was Asian comfort food. I also highly enjoyed the honey ginger lemon limeade. Yes its a mouthful to say but that is a tasty beverage. Friend 1 got Pad Thai and was very happy. Friend 2 got Cajun Pasta and was very happy Friend 3 got four cheese alfredo pasta and was content. its a little strange to me that the menu is half Italian themed dishes and half Asian but I guess noodles are noodles right? This place is inside of a large office building, take the escalator down. Beyond the Box is one floor up from Noodle Nexus.

This place is convenient if you work downtown near Harwood and St. Paul. Decent amount of options for lunch, food was prepped pretty fast(I went before 12:00 noon). I had the dan dan noodles. They were not remarkable, so I can’t give the place 4 stars, but it’s a solid 3 stars and a place to which I will return.

Noodle Nexus is a regular on my rotation of lunch spots in the Pedestrian Network tunnels. It’s really convenient for people who work downtown, located underground between Thanksgiving Square/Tower and Patriot Tower. I have to say that Noodle Nexus lacks consistency. The service is hit or miss; some days I’ve waited almost 30 minutes just to get my food. Noodle Nexus is in a cafeteria setting, so seating is limited and it’s incredibly loud during the lunch rush. Usually, the food is really good, and I have sampled a variety of their dishes. However, the food is either really good or really bad, and it’s a gamble of which one I’m going to get that day. I really like the Big Flat Noodle, but I don’t like the beans that come in the dish. I think the beans make the sauce, but they are never strained out of the sauce. I usually get the chicken instead of the beef with this dish. I also like the Dan Dan Noodle with tofu, Korean Chap Chae with beef, and the Singapore Noodle with tofu. I really like their sauce on the Pad Thai Noodle; it’s really sweet and moderately spicy. Menu items I don’t like: the Udon Noodle Soup because it’s too salty, the Penne with Primavera cream sauce because the sauce is too thin, and I’m not a fan of their yellow curry… but the Singapore Noodle has grown on me. The last few times I ate at Noodle Nexus the food has been pretty oily… great for flavor but bad news for my tummy.
