My sis and I wanted to try something different rather than ordering something simple like Papa John’s. We got the margherita pizza and added artichoke hearts, mushrooms and pepperoni. It was wonderful! I definitely will order from here again.

Love trying locally owned restaurants and My family pizza doesn’t disappoint. I placed my order online and went to pick it up. The shop is nestled between a couple other shops on the same side as central market. It’s really small inside, I’m guessing most people pickup or get delivery. The girl at the front was really friendly. The place didn’t have much frills but definitely clean and opening. I was initially shocked at the size of the medium thinking I had paid a lot of a small pizza but when I got home and opened up the box I immediately understood. This pizza was loaded with toppings, seriously do many layers of toppings it probably could have cooked a little longer. I got the Special pizza, if there is any topping on their you don’t love make sure and request to take it of because there is no way you would want to pick it off. The crust was super thin and really lacking but clearly it’s all about the layers of toppings on this pizza. I also got a small pecan salad which was probably my favorite thing I tried here. The salad has pecans, blue cheese, tomatoes and their house balsamic dressing. It was delish, I honestly could have just eaten this for dinner. If you live in the area I would definitely try out this pizza joint but I would drive out of my way to visit.

Methinks NOT! Ok let’s be fair… My Family’s Pizza got a raw deal when their original name was taken by a rouge pizza joint and who can deny they have the best thin crust cheese pizza outside of a wood fired brick oven. Shoot, the tweens delivering the pizza are even cute in that annoying generational gap kind of way. But this past weekend has permanently burned me from this kiche place… In short, I placed a delivery order on a Saturday at 3:37pm using their online ordering portal. At 4:11pm I call updating that order with the gate code left off the 3:37 submittal, and at 5pm I call looking for an ETA. Yes, 1 hour and 30 mins… The kids response was” OH… its sitting here.”(OK, I’ll bite…) WHY and When will it be delivered? crickets(we are assuming he is thinking through his response versus playing on his smart phone) «WE can get that out to you in 45 minutes.» So let me get this straight, I have waited over an hour and half to hear it will be another 45 minutes because they left it on the counter? Frankly speaking, If they warn you about a delayed delivery or explain that they are backed up I understand. Unfortunately, I received a long, uncomfortable silence. I am sure this is a kiche tween thing practiced so often on his parents. I am neither amused nor impressed with the attitude. Keep practicing on your parents because that will work so well in the real world. In this young man’s defense he did ask if I wanted to cancel the order. Well, he a least got one thing right. Thank you for the inspiration of deleting your contact information from my phone, ipad, and kindle. I canceled the order and drove to Richardson for fantastic Italian in a quaint little restaurant… I still have not been reimbursed the cost of the meal that was never delivered… THANKS… A fan no longer… 11÷18÷2015… Update, checked my credit card statement and was charged twice. Since I am not in the mood to make a donation, I emailed«frank» requesting a response… More to follow 12÷3÷2015… Update… My Family’s Pizza contact, Frank, is apparently on the down low and not responding to emails. all three… the fun continues

I was debating between one and two stars. Since I can’t decide, they get the benefit of the doubt and get two. Everyone around here, for some freakish reason, seems like eating thick crust or pan pizza. It’s like trying to eat a loaf of bread with toppings. I like a good thin crust. I want to taste the toppings, not a mouth full of bread and its hard to find a good thin crust place so I keep trying different places. I ordered at noon, thinking that my lunch would be here by 1:30 at the latest. At nearly 3PM, the delivery guy calls to let me know that he’s here. The pasta and the salad look to be correct. Problem #1 — nearly 3 hours with no notification. At least have the huevos to call me and say«Hey we really screwed this up.» Problem #2 — My pizza was wrong. I ordered Alfredo sauce, spinach, bacon, basil and red onion. What I got was Alfredo sauce, bacon, and sausage. It was OK Problem #3 — They gave me a free dessert to «make it up». It’s frozen. I don’t mean kinda frozen or even slightly thawed. It’s still rock solid. I could cause someone permanent brain damage if I hit them with it.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of the place. It’s very small and intimate. It’s almost like the setting for a movie set in Little Italy. The pizza was great, thin crust, fresh topping, hot out of the oven. I’m so glad I found this place through Groupon, I’ll definitely be returning!

I wish I could give zero stars! Ordered the cheese bread. Got soggy butter toast with about 3 shreds of cheese on the top. The girl gave us no plates, ONE plastic spoon for the table and two tiny little napkins. Asked for water, we were given plastic cups with no ice and told to use the water machine that was warm water. I never, ever write reviews, but this experience was SOBAD it was almost funny! Will never, ever, ever, try this place for dine-in again!

My Family’s Pizza used to be called Marco’s, and is in the same location it started in 50 years ago. It’s staying power is impressive. Recently we ordered a large Augusto pizza and cheese bread to-go, and I have to say, it was really good. The pizza was a thin crust pizza with provolone and feta cheese, no marinara sauce, topped with an olive oil glaze, garlic, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes. I personally am not a fan of marinara, so this was a good choice for me. It wasn’t super greasy either. The Brewer was craving cheese bread and marinara sauce, and ate the entire order by himself. I have to assume that it was pretty darn good, based on the fact it didn’t last long. It is on the pricey side, but for a thin crust pizza with delicious toppings, we’ll splurge once in a while. On a side note: this is Owen Wilson’s favorite pizza place. I used to see him here sometimes when he still lived in the neighborhood. I would recommend not looking like a rag-a-muffin if you go here in case you want to photo-bomb Owen in a paparazzi picture.

Found this place on Groupon, and glad I did. It’s a quaint little pizzeria nestled in the shopping center with Central Market(you will miss the small pizza sign on the brick storefront if you don’t know where to look). Upon entering, you get a little Italy feel… nice atmosphere! Pizza is loaded with fresh ingredients on a thin crust. I went with the Maximus. Very tasty! Friendlier service would have earned 4 stars. The person who took my carry-out order and the person who rang up my order(? maybe the same guy ?) wasn’t very friendly or personable, not very enthusiastic to be customer facing. Either way, it’s worth coming back to try another pizza.

Ordered from this location last weekend and got great speedy delivery and a great vegan pizza. Ordered today for delivery and waited an hour and a half before calling to see what was taking so long. They said that we were out of delivery range, funny since the website took our order and charged my card — also did it the week before without issue. Wouldn’t it make sense to call me and offer a refund rather than ignore my order and take my money? They offered us fresh pizzas and to deliver them, we didn’t receive partial refund or offer of coupon for further service — finally got food after over two hours of waiting and having to call multiple times because they had several issues. Will not be ordering from them again. Unapologetically bad service and poorly set up ordering system.

I used grub hub to order from here since I’m only in Dallas on business and am not familiar with the area. The delivery time given was 45 min. An hour and a half later, my food comes. Unfortunately they didn’t put any silverware in the bag so I had to eat my spaghetti with a spoon I just happened to have. The food was mediocre at best. Not at all worth the«free» delivery.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have ordered from here a few times since moving to Dallas. The pizza is good. 2 times ago I asked if they have any specials. I was told. «No, but we have coupons that are on our to go/delivery menus. I will make sure you get some when your pizza gets here. The pizza got there along with the menu that has the coupons on them. I called up a few days after and ordered 2 –2 topping pizzas for 19.99. I asked for Alfredo sauce instead of pizza sauce on one pizza and they said sure it will be an extra topping charge though. Sure no problem That works for me. I receive the pizza and it was good. I called tonight and said I had the coupon for the 22-topping pizza’s for 19.99 and was told they were good for pick up only. I advised them I had ordered with the coupon a few days ago and told him that the coupon says«See restrictions on reverse side» and there are no restrictions on delivery. He insisted that he has never taken an order and allowed someone to use a coupon for a delivery order. I will not be doing business with this place again. Here is what is written on the coupon: On front: See restrictions on reverse side On Back: Must mention coupon when ordering. One coupon per person. Not valid with any other offer. Limited time only. Preston/Royal Location only

Originally found this place on a whim. Pizza is fantastic. Fresh ingredients. Loads of toppings. Always delicious. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is it is a little pricey. Favorite is the Maximus.

The 2 stars is for not handling a store closure correctly and terrible gluten free pizza. We had ordered previously from the Addison location. We planned this time to order pizza from there and pick it up on the way to our friend’s house. Imagine our confusion when we called the number listed on their website for the Addison location –which was still listed as an open location– and successfully placed and order. But when we went to pick it up, the restaurant was no longer there! We call the number again and it turns our they re-routed the number to this location. If there is not going to be a very clear message«you are being routed to our Preston Royal location because the Addison location is closed» then you need to just disconnect that old number! My husband asked the person working when we picked up our pizza what was up and he said it happens all the time, he’s begged management to change it, but they won’t do anything about it. So, looks like they’ve lost at least one customer! Also, my husband who is not picky at all said their gluten free crust is particularly bad. I love that more places are offer GF options but if you’re going to do it badly, they might as well not do it all. Their regular pizza is pretty decent, very thin crust lacking flavor but overall something I would have again if the management would update their website and fix the confusing phone situation.

Disappointed and won’t return. I was really excited when I took my family there. The reviews looked good. And anything that has that much history is worth a shot. We got there at 5 pm and order 1 pizza and some appetizers. The appetizers came right away and were great. The pizza however took another 30 minutes. That is unacceptable. My fault I didn’t see in the reviews that it is thin crust, which is not my favorite anyway, but like other people said it tasted bland and brittle even for thin crust. Nothing to write home about. I didn’t see a single staff older than 30 there(maybe in the back I wouldn’t know) and the staff while nice seem inexperienced. Not what I expected from a family owned restaurant. My guess is they are spreading too thin as a chain.

Pizza crust tastes like cardboard: X! And one star for service just because I waited in the lobby for ten minutes until someone finally came out of the back to take my Order.

Five stars for the pizza(because I still haven’t had a bad pie yet from here in my whole life), one star for service… They either have extremely inexperienced workers at the front(happened one Super Bowl Sunday and we waited 45 minutes after arrival for our pick up order and witnessed several lost orders, inexcusable) or have some ridiculous policy that makes no sense. For example, for a long period of time they wouldn’t take delivery orders over the phone. My wife and I are young and fully capable of ordering online, but I want to pick up my phone after a long day at work and order a pie without having to get on a computer or my iPad. I once told them they could take my order over the phone, or I wouldn’t order from them at all. They were fine with losing my business. It just seemed absurd, so we found a new place for awhile They have since backed off on this policy, which made us start ordering from them again. Then we were excited one day to get a coupon in the mail and ordered two large pies. We were then told that the coupons are not validated for delivery after 5PM. After being told that the restriction was somewhere on the coupon, and explaining yet again to them that it wasn’t and that I wanted my pizza delivered, I was given the higher price and the option to pick up. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the policy, but if you failed to disclose this on your coupon a then it’s false advertising. I never would have told a customer that when I had my own restaurant. I wish this place was run with a little more efficiency, it’s really frustrating at times and I don’t tolerate it from any other place.

Excellent taste, great customer service and family-owned. What more could you want in your local pizzeria? We tried them out on Super Bowl Sunday for a get-together in Addison. Because it was such a huge day we called in our delivery early in the first half. I was pleasantly surprised when they told it was only take 30 minutes. 30 freaking minutes!!! That’s faster than most other spots on a regular weekend. To top things off, the prices were fair and the pizza was fantastic. Delicious toppings of freshly grilled and seasoned chicken, sliced onions and chunks of pineapple generously topped off their perfect crust. This a great place to check out if you haven’t yet and are in the area. Doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to convenience and quality.

Pretty mediocre pizza, and by mediocre I mean I’ve actually had better frozen pizzas! It has an interesting decoration, but this ranking comes completely from the food. Literally the pizza was dripping in grease. I split a large peperoni pizza(and yeah I know alot of oil comes out from the peperoni as it heats up), but this was a new level of disgusting. The grease had actually soaked through the crust, reminding me of old Slider blue’s pizza. Large one topping pizza was 13 dollars. Central market is next door, just buy a pizza from there and heat it up at home and save a couple bucks(and indigestion). The clerk also told us no water except for bottle water. How can a place have no tap water?

I raved about their pizza in 2010. But two years later and there is a noticeable decline in the quality of their pizza and salad. In the last few months, we have done three different«to go» orders from Marco’s. Each time, there was a long wait for the pizza(5 – 10 minutes), so I assumed that the pizza was fresh or just coming out of the oven. But all three of those orders have resulted in cold pizzas(after a 5 minute drive home) and really sub-par quality too. Then, the greek salad was just terrible. It was tasteless and the lettuce was hardly fresh. After my wife and I had two bites of salad, we both said«this is terrble» and could not eat any more. With one bad order, I may have considered it a fluke. Now, we’ve had 3 really bad pizzas and a terrible salad an it’s time to find a new«go to» pizza place.
