I like the concept of the place! You can go with your dog and have a nice frozen margarita at the same time. The frozen margaritas are tasty. The park however can be muddy sometimes. Also, you have to pay to enter the park. There’s a small dog side and a large dog side. The staff are friendly.

Used to go here regularly! My Chihuahua tribe loves this place. Last time I was in the small dog area on a busy weekend for about 10 minutes. Somehow, a young couple smuggled their fuck trophy into the gates, which is against the rules according to their website. Even after confronting the couple, they continued to allow the child(in diapers) to throw a ball across the yard while multiple, strangers’ dogs chased after it. It was just a matter of time until one of the dogs knocked the kid on its ass or bit his face off. Of course, I had to keep my Chihuahuas away from this monster and we moved across the park to the opposite end. However, the kid was all over the place while the dumb ass parents drank their beers and stared at their smart phones. I gotta tell ya, the negligent staff and assholes with toddlers have ruined our once awesome retreat! Dogs + kids + alcohol= lawsuit We immediately packed up our pooches and left. That kid was a DISASTER waiting to happen. Haven’t been back since. Sad.

Didn’t realize there was a cover charge for my dog and the service was pretty lousy. Don’t think the guy at the bar smiled once.

I loved this place and it was the first time we visited with our now passed away pomeranian. The place was on her bucket list so we finally found the place where we can take our dog and treat her with the dog treats when we had the hotdogs and burgers. Nice huge outdoor patio for people and mix of dogs. Music pumping, people laughing and eating with their dogs on a nice weather, you just can’t beat that vibe! so check it out if you have a dog and make it happen for your loved pets. bon appetit!

Blegh. Inattentive owners + no employees in the dog park area on a Saturday afternoon. I’m not the type to complain because I know dogs will be dogs, but I felt that there was no accountability for owners to give a s#!+ about what their dogs were doing. Many left their dogs unattended in the park area while they are on the patio, which caused quite a few unnecessary scuffles. On top of that, bartender flat out ignored to serve this group of typical uptown girls that definitely came after me. Dude I just want a beer. Stop flirting. I hated it, my dog hated it. Won’t be back. Fries were good though

I have been wanting to bring my puppy here for quite awhile. She finally met all of the criteria for us to stop in for the morning. My friend who lives in the area joined us and we settled into the small dog area. They have two separate sections for dogs under 30 pounds and then dogs over 30 pounds. Smaller dogs are allowed into the larger dog area, but not the other way around. Bailey, my 6-month-old mini golden doodle, had the time of her life. Somehow, when I stepped away to order my food(literally five minutes) she was completely covered in mud. Apparently, a rogue sprinkle had malfunctioned and created a mud puddle that Bailey was somehow drawn, too. Luckily, they have an area near the entrance where you can spray off your pup. This is a nice and convenient touch. I ordered the bacon burger with crinkle cut fries and a cup of water. Food has to be eaten outside of the dog park area. The burger and fries came out to a little over $ 11. They were quite tasty and worth what I paid. The cover charge for a day pass is a little less than $ 7. They say that you don’t have to clean up after your dog as the cover charge covers this. I get it, they want to make some $$, but honestly, with the mud puddle and various piles of poop, I didn’t feel like we got what we paid for in terms of ‘admission.‘ I love the concept and I could see my hubby and I bringing Bailey here often in the future. We’ll be back and might even get a yearly membership. Thanks for a great morning, Mutts!

From doggies birthday parties to Sunday Funday, I love coming here to let my dogs run around and socialize while I grab a bite to eat. Recently, they had a cute setup for photos with the Easter Bunny and an Adoption/Rescue on site. Their staff walks the two parks(large and small dog parks) to make sure poopies are off the grown and out of stepping site. This staff really cares for the animals visiting their parks. I have never had an unpleasant experience and hope this place never goes away; the city of Dallas really needs a place like this. Keep up the great work ya’ll!

I am in love with Mutts and I’m not ashamed to admit it. This is such a genius concept — unleashed dogs + socializing + drinks + great food… yes please! The park is split into smaller and larger dog areas. The larger dog area is very spacious with a climbing wall for the pups, a tunnel, and some hoops for them to jump through. There are tons of chairs for the humans to relax and socialize, but if you’re visiting during peak hours(weekends, Thurs-Fri nights) then you may just have to resort to standing. I only have one complaint and hopefully Mutts can address it: small children in the large dog area. This is actually really bothersome to me. My corgi, like most dogs, likes small children and thinks they want to play, so he tends to gravitate towards them. The problem is, I brought my dog to a dog park so he could run around, play and have freedom. Sadly, I have to constantly watch him like a hawk and intercept his every move because several people decide to bring their infants or toddlers into the large dog area. If anything, I feel parents should sit outside the dog run where they can be just as close to their pups, keep an eye on them, but allow the other dogs to enjoy their time without the rest of the dog park having to stress over whether their dog will jump on the child. Overall Mutts is a really awesome spot and I spend WAY too much time there — but only because it’s a win-win for me and my dog. Oh did I mention they have really yummy burgers and fries? Possibly top 5 I’ve had in Dallas.

The idea behind Mutts is great, but there’s an almost $ 7 cover fee to get in, which we didn’t know ahead of time. The reason for the two-star review is the service. We ordered a total of four items, only two of which we actually got. We had to go up twice to get everything that we ordered, and by the time we had everything, I was finished with my meal before my girlfriend has even started hers. The $ 6+ cover charge was a surprise, and coupled with the poor service, it was simply not a great experience.

This place has a great concept, and for the most part it’s a generally enjoyable place with the exception of my most recent experience here — which is my reasoning behind this one star review. When my fiancé and I got there, we ordered a couple of beers and two fireball shots at the bar, and asked to buy day passes for our two dogs. Our bartender, Blaine, rings this up, but DOESNOT get us to sign a waiver(this should be a red flag to management as it’s a total liability on their part). We ask for copies of the passes to get into the pro, and he said«just use your receipt». Our dogs play, yada yada. I go and order shots for myself as my fiancé, but alone this time. I order fireball and wait about 15 mins. Still no shots. The other, very friendly, bartender comes up and apologizes for the wait and asks what shots I ordered. He tries to get these when the original bartender comes back and says that they don’t have fireball. This is fine, so I order chilled vodka shots. He starts shaking the shots and walks into the back — not sure why — and doesn’t come out for another 5 minutes. The very nice other bartender again tries to step in to help, but good ol’ Blaine comes back out and provides me with one very full shot, and one shot that is clearly much less than average. I point out that I had waited for about 20 minutes, and express displeasure at the inconsistency of his pour on our shots. He then says«Yeah, ok, so what’s complaining going to get you? You didn’t wait for 20 minutes!» To which the customers behind me say«yes, she did.»(Since there was a line forming behind me) He made the overall experience awful. Hopefully someone from management will handle this bartender who is clearly too big for his britches.

We decided to include Baxter on a random Sunday out, and we headed to Mutts. I agree with others, the concept is great. When we go to regular dog parks, it always seems like the owners should have sun too. When we arrived, there was a little confusion as to what to do. There was a long line that was not moving at the bar area, but no menus, or signs directing us on what to do. We waited, and finally Jason asked a server what we needed to do. He was nice, took our drink order, and Baxter’s few, and said he would bring us our drinks. We headed to the small dog area… there was not really anyone monitoring the entrance btw. It was cute. There are a lot of chairs and room for the dogs to run. We also chatted with a few nice people. It is a good place to check out. I kind of think the entrance fee should be reconsidered if you are buying drinks, but whatevs. Baxter enjoyed our time out.

I have been a member here for a long while! I love the space for the dogs to come and play and not worry about them escaping under a fence. I haven’t had the food, but the margaritas(get at happy hour price) are so great! The smell dog park is a tad more neglected from the wait staff, so be prepared to go order from the bar if you are a small dog owner. They have spray and water for the dogs. There are fun things for them to play on. You can give the dogs a bath if they get super dirty. It’s a great concept. It’s super nice to have in the neighborhood.

Took my dog here on a Saturday afternoon. There’s a $ 7 fee for full day access to the park. The food and drinks are a little overpriced but that’s expected. I got a margarita and a burger, the burger was surprisingly good but small. I also got a doggie dog for my dog as a treat but it was just a generic hotdog, my dog enjoyed it but it was not a worth the price point. The people that took our order were also not that nice. The park itself was roomy and nice but I didn’t think it was worth a $ 7 fee. It’s not very convenient to bring my dog so I definitely don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Mutts is a great place to come and hangout with your pup. I do wish that people watched over there pups a bit more(most people run to the bar to watch sports, get drinks, ect). Personally, i’ve always had a great experience here. They’ve got two play areas — large dogs and small dogs. They also have a basic menu for dogs & humans alike. I haven’t tried anything from them, but they have some solid options. Note: there is an admission fee($ 6 per day?) or you could sign up for a month /yearly pass to save some $$. Basically, it’s a fun place in uptown to checkout on a sunny day!

This place is awesome! The food, atmosphere, dog park, and local draft beers are fantastic! The only thing keeping this from getting 5 stars is the price to let your dog play in the dog park. To me, the price is a little too much when I am already paying for food and drinks. The location is set up with two parks, one for small dogs(under 30lbs) and one for large dogs(over 30lbs). The parks are set up with fun and unique obstacles for your dogs to play around. They have a bunch of lawn chairs inside the park where the owners can sit and visit with friends/make new friends while the dogs play. They also allow drinks into the park. Perfect place to grab a beer and hang out with friends while your dogs play! There is a little hut type trailer where you can order food and drinks. I love that they support local breweries with craft beers on draft. They close the park if it’s raining or the temperature is below 40 degrees.

Mutts is… okay. We really have to break this down into two parts: Mutts and the patrons. Mutts itself is fine and doing a decent job, but the patrons of this place absolutely suck. Since it is a dog park, you have to also consider the patrons and not just the business. Sorry, Mutts. I figured this place would be similar to Yard Bar in Austin, except it really isn’t. The only thing they have in common is that you can drink and let your dog play with other dogs. Nothing else is the same. We walked in, filled out some sort of form, and then paid for a day pass. The hostess just wrote on a slip of receipt paper that we bought a day pass and we were instructed to hand that slip of paper to whoever was at the gate when we were ready to take Graham to the play area. Cool beans. We decided to eat lunch first, much to the dog’s chagrin. Suck it up, pup. We sat at a table and saw there was a server, but he never visited us and he appeared to be the only one for every single table. No big deal, John just went to the bar and ordered our drinks and food. Our food, consisting of a hot dog, a burger, and fries, took quite some time to come out. Normally, this wouldn’t bother me, but it was clearly annoying the dog because he wanted to play and we were wasting his time. Dealing with a whiny dog? Not very much fun. The hot dog was just okay. I got the Jessica Biel, which is andouille sausage topped with peppers, onions, and spicy mustard. It was a little too greasy for me and I had my boyfriend finish it. I think he enjoyed his burger and the fries were okay. I didn’t expect anything mind-blowing, though, so no disappointment there. We entered the dog park area and found some shady spots in sit in, away from everybody else. When walking through the park, there was dog poop everywhere. I guess people in Dallas are too good to scoop their dog’s poop, because damn near nobody did it. I guess people in Dallas are also too good to watch their dogs, because there were several dogs that did not have anyone watching them. Being in dog parks, you figure out pretty quickly which dog belongs to which person. Several people were nowhere to be found. The only people watching dogs were a few of us that actually care about how our dog behaves around other dogs and people. Mutts does not provide people to watch dogs. I’m okay with that in theory, but it doesn’t work in Dallas because these people are too damn entitled to make sure their precious dog isn’t causing problems. Pro tip: your shitty dog probably is and you should be responsible and watch your dog. So, as we’re watching dogs hump other dogs and the dog getting humped getting pissed and little fights breaking out, all the while making sure our dog was staying out of trouble, we decided that we didn’t want to stay here for long. Eventually, other people joined our side of the park and, thankfully, they each also watched their dog. We all played fetch with everyone’s dogs and it was a great time for the dogs until somebody’s shitty dog would start a fight over a ball or something.(This also happens at Yard Bar, but at least people there are paying attention. It’s really hard to prevent when the same dogs keep starting trouble and their owners can’t be located.) I also saw dogs being allowed in that were clearly not neutered. Whoa, buddy, that’s a bad idea, Mutts. All it takes is a two second check — there is an obvious difference between a dog that has been neutered versus a dog that hasn’t. Then, I saw the same server walking around the entire dog park and taking drink orders. Whaaatt? Mutts, you have two people opening and closing gates, but only one server? For the restaurant part and the dog park?! I hope that dude got some amazing tips because that’s ridiculous that he was the only person serving.(We always just went up to the bar, so no service issues on our part, but that’s still ridiculous for that poor dude.) I think Mutts has real potential and of course, everyone’s experience is highly dependent on who else is there that day. On the day I was there it was douchebag central, so the flaws in the system were more apparent, but I wouldn’t cross this place off my list entirely. I don’t know when I’ll get the chance to go back, because that depends on me both being in Dallas and having my dog with me, but I think with a few changes, Mutts could be great. If they encouraged people to pick up their dog’s poop and ensured that people actually watched their dogs and didn’t just drop them off in the dog park, that would fix a lot of issues. Maybe if Mutts even just had a couple of people that walked around the dog park and watched, too, or scooped up hidden dog poop would be helpful. People are not responsible enough to handle these duties on their own and they need a little help. Until then, good luck to everyone else. It’s a real dog eat dog world out there.

This is a great concept, and I wish more large dog-friendly cities had this kind of setup. Let your dog play while having access to a bar? Great! The other dog owners were very social and friendly, so it was a good time. Now for the bad: my girlfriend ordered one of the Bourbon Milkshakes, and it took FOREVER for us to get it. We were standing at the bar, and the bartender was pretty rude about it whenever we asked for an update. He kept telling us «It’s coming, okay? They’re making it». Who«they» is, we never found out. After 15 minutes or so, another bartender came up to us asking what we ordered. Once we told her, she made the milkshake and gave it to us. Was the other guys just a lazy slob? Didn’t like us for some reason? Overall a decent experience, but man. Improve your staff, or train them better.

This place is awesome, probably one of the best dog parks in the known universe. They have the park area split, half dogs above 30lbs and the other half for dogs below. Lots of sunny and shaded seating in both areas for owner to relax while their dogs play. There’s also a full service restaurant and bar with plenty of seating and tables separate from the dog areas. This allows you to eat your burger without 20 dogs begging for a bite. The food is average, bloody marys aren’t good at all, but the mimosas were surprisingly very tasty. Side note: small dog owners please put your dogs in the small dog area… Otherwise they just become a squeaky toy in the middle of a dog pile…

Accompanied a friend and his dog here on a Tuesday night. Finally, I thought… An excuse to visit this bar without looking like some weirdo who creeps on dogs. Service was very friendly and attentive. The bartender pointed out their root beer flavored beer(Yum!) and explained how she brought it down from the east coast after trying it on a trip home. I’d heard a lot of buzz around this beer from friends who mentioned it was sold out in Buffalo. So I was very impressed by the selection. With that said, I had a margarita on the rocks. I figured this was the best way to get a quality drink that isn’t premixed but it turned out to be really average. Definitely tasted like a mix of sorts. I wish I was a beer drinker so I could easily opt for something else. Otherwise, had a good time watching the dogs run, sniff, and pee freely. There is a huge assortment of dogs here and most owners were very keen to making sure their dogs weren’t acting wild. There’s a big enough space for them to run around, and there’s even a separation of small and large dogs. There is an entrance fee, though I think can be waived with the purchase of a drink. Three stars for service, ambiance, and location. It’s too bad about the drinks though. I’ll have to come back and try something else.

The burgers are great, the fries are great, the shake is yummy, BUT the majority of the people that come here are douchers that can’t control their dog. I watched a guy in the dining area let his dog take a crap, and didn’t even attempt to clean it up. If you get here at a good time, it can be amazing, but watch out, because if it is the wrong time, you will have a horrible time. If you see 4 people in the park, fourty dogs, and 40 leashes, then that means there are dog walkers here. DONOT stay, run away because they can’t control that many dogs. I wouldn’t even pay for the membership, which we have done ever since they have opened. They rarely ever check if you have a membership.
