This is probably my favorite Italian in Dallas. I’m not sure why it’s only a 3.5 star– honestly this is probably due to the location being at the quadrangle — a little hidden off of cedar springs. Great pasta and I recommend this place to anyone that comes to Uptown/Dallas!

Not thrilled. A little difficult to find. We had a reservation and and the restaurant was empty when we arrived and still had to wait for a table. Our server was a little odd. My husband, though he looks 12, is a sommelier. He ordered wine and our server brought the bottle back, slammed it in the table, and walked off. Not a great experience. Food was okay. I tried asking questions about the menu but didn’t get a lot of answers. The pizza was phenomenal! Sadly, I don’t think I will be back

A nice pre-theatre dinner. The chicken dishes are all drenched in unusually good sauces; white wines, tomatoes and even mushroom-based sauces cover your plate and spread all over the rice and/or pasta. The chicken itself is a bit dry: could be cooked a little slower, and under less heat. Spices are nice in all dishes. The real champion at this place, however, is their homemade pasta. Ravioli, spaghetti, fettuccini, you name it. A piping hot, soft and creamy, yet bursting with freshness pasta that you can tell has never been dried. All their entrees should be served over pasta(why they choose rice is beyond me). The wine menu is very limited. The service was fast, but we got there early. Our server spoke little English but was polite and attentive. I’m adding an extra star because the prices are SO low. Some of the cheapest Italian I’ve come across in a long while.

We walked in to this restaurant about 30 minutes before closing, and yet they were incredibly accommodating! They made us feel right at home, and didn’t rush us at all. The food was amazing — I had the Lobster Ravioli and it was perfect. They’ve got a LOT of options, which is really the only downside. Really cute space in the Quadrangle. Great patio too. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here on a Tuesday night for a spoken word/poetry event and really liked the atmosphere. It’s sort of difficult to find on Routh St. and there’s no signage where the GPS says you’ve arrived(ha)…or is my GPS the only one that does that?! They have nice dimmed lighting, a nice menu and free parking in the back of the restaurant. They shared a portion of the restaurant which was closed off for this particular event. So cool that they do that! We had a private menu, and from it, I would honestly stick with the Italian options on the menu, as that is their specialty. They had other American options too like turkey burgers, blackened fish etc., but these were just OK. I’m not a fan of hookah, but that can be requested as well. I found that weird and thought it brought the level of classiness down for the place, but yea.

Mo Mo’s is. Great option for BYO. One of the few BYO options in Dallas. Good Italian food with friendly service. And a nice patio.

Visiting tonight for Love Jones Poetry Tuesday’s… Poetry Night is definitely worth it. I love the ambiance here very nice place for a girls night out out quite night worth babe. The food is mediocre not bad but nothing to shout about. I ordered the mozzarella sticks for $ 7 and an $ 8 margarita … I would have ordered more but the server had a hard time bringing that. I have to agree with others tho, the service is slow and the servers seem a little cranky. They kill the vibe! All and all I’d come again and just relax into some spoken word. I’ll never order food again.

The food is excellent but the service can be bad at times. So if my husband and I have a lot of time and patience we go in person, otherwise we pick up food all the time. It’s fresh and they have great vegetarians and gluten free options. The red sauce is super tasty. Have never had a bad or questionable plate. I would give them 5 stars but the service needs to improve.

Food wise and dietary needs have always been met, they have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. One of my friends was even charged twice once and they refunded her entire dinner and remade the dinner correctly and gave it to her without further charge. It is a nice date place at a great place to grab a glass of wine or just have a cocktail at the bar. They always have amazing art displayed and the employees are always extremely accommodating and are always very attentive of your needs without you having to ask. It’s just a very chill laid-back place to go and enjoy the time with friends and family. Highly recommend it!

8STARSFORTHEFOOD. LITERALLYMINUS6STARSFORDECOR/AMBIANCE/SERVICE I fell in love with this place when it was in Highland Park off Knox. It had the same delish Italian food with an absolutely perfect rustic Italian ambiance. Not only is the new location impossible to find, but it looks like the lobby of a Courtyard Marriott. The art on the wall is bizarre– like planets and volcanoes. WTF? Hi it’s an Italian restaurant, not Space Mountain.

Fantastic place! Romantic, small-ish place with low lighting and cozy setup. The server was attentive without being annoying and harassing. The food was indescribable. I don’t even remember which pasta I ordered because I must have taken more than 5 straight minutes to decide. They have plenty of vegetarian and pescetarian options. We didn’t get dessert and I didn’t see a menu for it, but I’ll definitely be trying some next time. Great for a date night.

I came here on a Saturday night with friends as they had a DJ and dancing. Cool spot but kind of a place that if you blinked you would miss. They have a nice patio for when the weather is nice. Vino is meh but I’d try the cabernet… the merlot in my opinion was not good. Plenty of seating for big groups and etc. The food just looks mediocre… however I did not eat. Check it out on a Friday or Saturday night… the servers there were all very nice too.

After traveling to Italy and having authentic Italian dishes, I have to be a bit harsh. I give them three stars because this isn’t Italy however. I ordered the Conchiglie a Modo Mio — Shell pasta in a creamy tomato sauce made with imported gruyère cheese, fresh ricotta, pork loin, genoa salame, chicken breast and pancetta. In my overall opinion. It was A-OK. They put a bit too much sauce on it and the proportions were off. I did not find myself enjoying the pork loin, genoa salame and chicken breast. There was a lot more shell pasta than expected. I think they could do better but here’s to trying other dishes the next time I may be here!

Wow! I haven’t been to Momo’s since it moved from Knox, but on a rainy cold afternoon we decided to watch a movie and order out. I hate wasting money on pizza that I don’t like a lot, so I was a little apprehensive about trying out the new location. I am super glad that we went for it! They are pretty close to us and I wanted to see the new digs, so we ordered takeout and I walked over: Marghertia pizza is one size and perfect for two and we included the Linguine Bolognese(pasta with meat sauce) and a Tiramisu(which oddly isn’t on the online menu). Pizza: perfect and very fresh tasting, particularly the tomatoes. The crust is a little soft, but great! Maybe ask them to crisp it up a bit next time. Pasta: incredible for such a simple dish. Meat sauce is all about the meat and theirs is very good and well seasoned. The pasta is house made and you really can tell the difference. Not too little and not too much — finished in the pan and just turned over once. You get a salad with the pasta — we got the Caesar and it was good. The dessert was good. It’s run you $ 30 bucks for that, but a few dollars more goes a long way. We cut back the«just okay» places a while back and stopped the chain processed poison entirely, so this was an awesome treat. Momo’s Pasta is now number one in the rotation.

Went in June with a good friend who lived nearby. We were looking for a nice, pleasant summer dinner, and were disappointed by terrible food and not-the-best service. The only plus side was that we ate outside — patio was nice and weather was pleasant. For apps we got the bruschetta and pink bread. Pink bread was(enter Face With Stuck-Out Tongue And Tightly-Closed Eyes emoji here). Bruschetta was nothing special. Note, for our apps, the waiter did not bring in our order of pink break until after he had gotten our apps order wrong. For dinner I got the spinach gnocchi. Gnocchi is one of my favorite Italian dishes, so I tend to order it often. With that said, I have had some amazing gnocchi. This was was(enter Face With Stuck-Out Tongue And Tightly-Closed Eyes emoji here). They got it all wrong! The portion was absurd. Also, these were not tiny pockets of potato fluff. In fact there was no potato at all. Granted there was no mention of potato on the menu, since it was a «spinach gnocchi» but what came out was nothing that I expected. it was logs of spinach-y dough that seemed like it was defrosted in a microwave. Completely underwhelmed. In addition, menu is far too large. My friend and I struggled to order. There is not a specialty at this restaurant. Not impressed by the food, we skipped dessert. Went to Momo Italian Kitchen the day after since a friend suggested we go. I was not necessarily looking forward to it since I had Italian the night before, but thankfully, Momo Italian Kitchen had real Italian food.(Don’t get the two confused!)

Had reservations here for Christmas dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how hidden it was from the main street because it was surrounded by a completely closed center. I ordered the quattro pizza and my mother ordered the XMAS3-course dinner special. The pizza crust and pizza sauce was very bland, which shocked me a bit because the free rosemary bread they serve you was incredibly delicious. I had some of the chicken breast from my mothers’ meal and it was incredible! It made me regret ordering pizza. I’ll be back here again next Christmas, but I definitely won’t order pizza again.

The hope was all there with the cute name, nice atmosphere, secretive location(or just hard to find), and homemade pastas, but unfortunately the food itself did not measure up. Our meal started with the calamari appetizer and for my entrée I shared an order of the seafood risotto with my friend. The kitchen kindly split the dish for us on separate plates(love when places do this!) but sadly it did not taste nearly as exciting as it did in words on the menu. Prices were definitely high as normally expected for at a nice Italian restaurant, but it just didn’t seem worth it based on the food we had.

I don’t mind paying good food prices for quality, but MoMo’s isn’t the quality. The pizzas are tiny. Mine were uncooked and salty. I’m new to the area so next time I’ll try Carmine’s.

–Good layout with minimum décor. –The Seafood Was pretty Good(although the shrimp were very small) –Service was horrible, we sat around for over 15 minutes after walking in without even being seen to be served. and then getting our check required me walking over to the bar and then waiting another 15 minutes for them to process my card.

This place is perfect for a quiet dinner for two/small group/large party, and if it’s nice outside, don’t pass up the opportunity to sit on the patio. The owner was phenomenal: attentive and personable and just downright a nice guy. In fact, everyone we encountered there was polite and welcoming. Best tiramisu I’ve ever eaten. This restaurant is very impressive we need more restaurants like this in the Dallas area. All of the little personal touches in our experience just kept adding up which is the reason why this restaurant is why this restaurant is successful.
