So sad to hear this today! Every time I visited Dallas I came to Minc with a bunch of friends. Really miss my Minc days!

Awww, I’m so bummed to hear that it closed. It’s been a while but I loved this place while it was open. If electronic music and hiphop is your thing, you would’ve loved this. They always had awesome DJ’s spinning some sexy sultry house. There were big, soft lounge chairs and a nice patio outside where you can just chill. Drinks were good and average priced. I also loved it when they had some of my favorite hiphop artists come out. Pete Rock rocked the house one night — it was one the best nights I’ve ever had. I saw Erykah Badu just hanging out with the crowd, getting her groove on and showing some love for the club. If anyone knows if Minc has magically transformed into some other new club, please let me know as I miss that place! :-(It was a rare find, a hidden gem!

I dug Minc a lot more under the previous ownership. Now they try to charge cover on random nights during the week(in Expo Park!) and there’s a lot more Hip Hop which isn’t my thing. The atmosphere is still cool and the bartenders are still cool but it lost the eclectic nature that used to make it so special. I’d still go if I was invited but the entire time I’d be thinking about how awesome it was like 5 years ago… 3 Stars –Greg

IMO one of the best places to go see local and national electronic music in Dallas, great mix of people, good poured drinks and I love the atmosphere especially when the back patio is open as well. They have a Weds– Sunday nightly mix so check the website if it matters to you. I have seen dozens of DJ play here and the stereo sounds is just great. This place is a bit hidden if you ha vent been there before but I still love this place.

I had a birthday party here last month and it was great. It was on a Friday night, which is typically Minc’s night for old school hip-hop and other underground beats. The tunes were awesome and definitely beat many of the other places in Dallas, where it seems like the only stuff they have are overplayed top 50 billboard songs. As usual, the vibe was pretty chill and drinks were very reasonably priced. It started getting somewhat crowded around midnight, but it wasn’t overly packed and there was plenty of room to dance. The staff there is also very pleasant, so there was no hassle to plan my party there(Creo was the guy that helped me out). The only negative I can possibly think of is that if you’re one of the people that require an elbow-to-elbow crowd in order to have a good time, this place might not be for you. Overall, I’d recommend Minc to anyone, especially out-of-towners and transplanted New Yorkers like myself who are looking for a place to «keep it real.» This place kicks ass.

If anything go for the HOOKAH! They have great flavors… grab some friends… go to minc… get ready to smoke, laugh and drink. then there’s always the dancing… trust me, you will end up on the dance floor! The patio area is always so much fun… puff puff!

Great music and a great crowd. Th crowd is usually a mix of gay and straight folks, so you don’t have to worry about getting groped. Minc always has awesome DJs. You will end up dancing. The bathroom can be a hectic. You may have to wait for 15 minutes before you can get in one to pee. A couple may come out of the toilet that you end up going into. Your guads will get a work out from hovering. The back patio is a great place to chill and have a hookah. Also, DONOT buy any guy in a wheelchair a drink. The guy is a scam artist. The bartender warned me about him a few weeks ago.

Whenever the fears of Dallas give way to earnest longing for the streets of Austin, I smack myself for only being to Minc once on markedly one of the best nights of my life(a night that included Devo, hookah, drunk parking lot driving, the most beautiful transsexual EVER, and Minc). We slipped into Minc, for you don’t just walk into a place like this. You savor the moment and let the outside world slide off your skin as particles from the bar and dance floor lights illuminate your body. Minc is perfectly sized and expertly portioned for adequate bar, dance, and patio space. The staff is beyond nice, and even my foggy brain remembers thoroughly enjoying the patrons in line for the bathrooms on one of my many toilet visits(I drink, therefore, I pee). We met Denise while sitting outside around a towering, elegant hookah. I had just returned from a bathroom visit to find a mocha-skinned, supermodel-cheekboned, deliciously long-legged creature sitting in my seat. She was the physical embodiment of what Minc feels like: a space to feel beauty, to simply be. No one humps you on the dance floor, everyone respects everyone else, and the music(which is great) moves right through you. …And then you go outside to the tiny dirt parking lot, back into the car behind you, and then let someone else drive home.

Strong drinks! Excellent seating. Nice patio area. Friendly folks. Good ambience. What’s not to like?(Except for the big bug that crawled on me while I was outside. but hey, it’s Texas, what do you expect?)

I’ve been to Minc on several occasions. Typically when I’m in the Fair Park area, I’m at the Meridian Room, but Minc has its own singular style. Very impressive ambiance, the drinks are pretty good and maybe a little high in price, but the back area is amazing. There’s also a hookah, if you’re looking for that type of thing. I took my cousin(she’s from Oklahoma, and a little country) here on Goth night, and she was a little freaked out at first by the crowd(lots of black, lots of eyeliner), but we explored the vicinity a bit more and she had a great time. The bathrooms are the COOLEST.

Again, who knew Dallas was so cool? From the second we walked in the door Minc reminded us of an unmarked underground dance club we went to in the Mission district of San Francisco. Cool vibe, excellent DJ. The people were all over the board, but the one thing I noticed is that no one was noticing what anyone was doing or wearing… well, except for the guy in the floor length fake fur… what was up with the boys in fur last night? Anyway, it was soooo refreshing to be in a dance club that was come as you are, non-meat market, just dance like there’s no tomorrow here in Dallas! The bathrooms are large, there are two of them and don’t look for the men or womens sign because they are unisex. The back patio looked like it would be fun on warm nights. The front door guy was also extremely nice and friendly which is pretty unusual for the typical door guy. Overall I intend to go back here every time I want to go dancing and avoid those Uptown 30K millionaires altogether!

I didn’t frequent many clubs in Dallas but Minc was my favorite out of the few I spent time at. Many, many good times have been had on the killer back patio-lovely cabana seating everywhere to enjoy! Did I mention the hookahs you can order up for your table?!? This place gets some of the best DJ’s to be had-Kaskade makes frequent stops here, and it’s easy to see why-the vibe here is phenomenal!

I would go to Minc so much more if it was not so damn out of my way. Saturday nights are the best and one of the few nights in Dallas where you hear good house music for either free or cheap and the crowd is not there to pick up pussy/get wasted. Mostly all that go on Saturdays are truly there to hear good tunes, dance, and socialize. Saturdays are definitely the more mixed of all nights. Fridays usually has a special event. There is zero to little street parking that is safe from breakins. You are best paying the $ 5 to park next to Minc in the lot. But, be warned it is like pothole central and they really try to cram as many cars as possible into this lot. But, it is cheap considering they could gouge the price due to the area and the lot is well lighted. Big patio in the back with a bar(that is usually closed unless the place is packed which it never is on Saturdays). Bartenders are friendly enough and don’t skimp on the liqour. Like I mentioned, Minc is typically free on Saturdays so I am not sure how they make $$. Unless it is a special dj, it’s a sparse crowd but they are appreciative of the music nonetheless. In a way, I am glad Minc is so isolated from the rest of Dallas nightlife. It keeps all the stupid people away and corralled in Lower Greenville/Deep Ellum.

Great ambience out of something you would not expect by looking at the façade. Once inside you hear the house grooves and see the retro sofas and the bar that seems organic, as if it was part of the lounge. The patio area has water pools and hookas. I also like the Buddha statues.

OH I’VEBEENHEREBEFORE! So yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve been here last, but I remember that this place was pretty neat. There were three main areas… One big room with a shit-ton of seating, i remember laying down on some weird furry thing(or person, who knows) and they also had these cool booths all around the space. There was also this other cool room that had a bunch of squares everywhere, square chairs square wall décor, just a a bunch of squares… hmm yeah, that was weird. Then there was the dance hall, the dance room if you will. Yeah, I remember getting sweaty hot in there… All in all, a pretty fun place. The more I think about it, I actually came here a lot. Check it out!

Zen deep house grooves instilled in a inside outside woodsy genie-in-a-bottle cavern. That was my very first and lasting impression of Minc lounge. Located deep near the heart of Downtown Dallas, this bar/lounge/house club has drawn some pretty phenomenal DJs most recently and during its fledgling hey days. DJ Tiesto, Kaskade, Andy Caldwell as well as other well known House and Progressive house DJs have made their ways through the organic hallways of Minc. The service is great, the ambiance is even better. The venue is much larger than it seems at first glance, the main dance floor is not much to write home to Mom about, but the backyard open air lounge more than makes up for it. Boasting a relaxing secret garden style water fountain, log benches and stump stools, I’ve wanted to pack my bags and move in each visit I’ve made.
