In prep for selling a house, I hired Maid2Order to do a final«sprucing» before we put the house on the MLS. The house was empty. It had new paint and new wallpaper, and had been professionally cleaned before the contractors started. I wanted a crew to do the cleaning for«open house» and pictures. Wipe out cabinets, appliances, polish the chrome, dust everything, clean the windows, dust mop and polish the hardwoods, vacuum the carpeted rooms. They were supposed to send two people. They sent one person; who was 3 hours late… but the next day, charged my credit card for two people. The company claimed that a cleaning person was there was there for 7 hours, even though the neighbors all saw her leave after 4. The one girl who did finally show up, while a perfectly lovely person, seemed a bit under the weather, and accomplished almost none of the tasks I asked to be done. As well, she didn’t bring a real vacuum, but instead one of those little stick vacs… to do a 5 bedroom house. Pro: The maid they sent did a fantastic job on the bathrooms, and once I gave her my vacuum, she did a great job on the new carpets. Con: she billed 7 hours to do it and didn’t do the tasks I asked her to do. She didn’t mop where she was supposed to mop, she didn’t do the windows as I asked, the interior of the cabinets were not wiped out, she didn’t dust the banisters, the stair railings, the windowsills, the mantle, or clean the fireplace glass or marble… all sorts of things I requested were not done. Perhaps I just hit them on a bad day, or a busy period, but I would not use this company again.
