The wings were not greasy, baked and had a nice crisp. The pizza was ! The service was fast, clean restrooms, the dining area was well kept. I would definitely recommend my friends to check this place out

So. I ordered over the phone, no problems. Then. About 25 minutes later, the phone rings with a distraught delivery driver telling me he can’t find the horse. Admittedly, the numbers are on the house in a way you cannot see from the street but most people have no trouble. So I give him the best directions possible. Two story yellow house, second from the end. We argue back and forth about the numbers at which point I’m about to tell him to forget it and the he tells me he’s here. Super. He proceeds to tell me about the number situation again. I got it. But the numbers are visible from the street on the houses next to mine so by process of elimination and my stellar directions… Ok. Food. I ordered a small cheese pizza, because I’m classic. And a small Caesar salad, 2 Dr. Peppers. Everything arrived correctly but I’m already irritated by that driver. So I start the salad. Apparently they send to go salads with dressing on them already and it was soaking wet, soggy, and mostly inedible. I just ate the croutons off. And the pizza. Warmish. Not enough sauce and the most bland crust. I’m a crust eater. Eat the whole piece or it doesn’t count! I couldn’t. Blech. Luckily, the Dr. Pepper was cold.

DONOTORDERFROMTHISPLACE. They charged me $ 120 for an order and then messed up the order. The did fix it, but then charged me an extra $ 145 without even telling me. The only reason I found out about the extra charges was because I checked my bank account. I just got off the phone with them and they refuse to refund me. What!!! Almost $ 300 for some pizzas? That is absolutely ridiculous. The pizza was wet with grease and flavorless on top of all of that. I cannot believe that a place that prides themselves on family and values would have such disrespect for their customers. I will never be ordering from them ever again.

I’ve been going to this place ever since I can remember. This lovely pizza joint has been exactly the same ever since the first time I visited. By that I mean their excellent service and their quality of food. As I kept coming in more and more often, the friendly staff always surpassed what their expectations were and they have basically become my family by now. There is something that I have always remembered about this place and it is undoubtedly their promise for the amazing quality they provide. There is something really special about this place that always leaves you with a satisfied and rewarded feeling by the end of the meal. When looking in from the outside you see a humble yet enticing NY style pizza joint, but when you enter, you get way more than what you expect, in my opinion this restaurant deserves more than five stars! As a regular customer there I usually order the delicious chicken parmesan, the spaghetti is always Al dente and cooked with perfection served with a mouthwatering generous portion of a thinly sliced fried chicken parm, layered with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. Their Dinner portion usually comes with a salad and 2 rolls baked to a golden brown perfection sprinkled with some Parmesan on top. Absolute must try: — Chicken Parm — Baked Ziti — Calzone — Mozzarella Sticks — Pizza –Also their delivery service is free!

The large NY Italian man immediately scared the crap out of me when I walked in. He stared at me like he was reading my thoughts and knew every bad pizza deed I had committed. I just want some pizza and pasta man! Pizza and pasta on Lovers! Once I came to senses, I realized I was just in a traditional family owned feel Brooklyn kind of pizza place. If you know and love Brooklyn style pizza, then this will be all too familiar to you. It’s not fancy by any means and no one is waiting on you hand and foot. The pizza drips of oil when folded. It’s thin, cheesy and hits the spot better than any pizza delivery massacre. While the lobster ravioli only came out with four pieces, they were big and delicious. I wanted more but I think the portions were just right, especially for calorie counters. The shrimp scampi also had nicely sized guys with their tails on. For everything you got, it was a great price. Carb overloading is definitely a specialty here and it’s the perfect place to diverge from Dominos or take your cheap high school girlfriend out to for some food.

The penne rigate w/chicken is the bomb! The Brooklyn style pizza is some of the best you’ll have in the DFW. Tarik is always a pleasure to talk to while waiting. My only negatives would be the lack of parking and the décor inside. It could use a refresh, but you’re going for the food, not ambiance. I typically only do take away anyways.

We weren’t impressed by the quality of the food, portion sizes, prices or atmosphere. Basically, this place is a dump. Take-out NY style pizza must be their bread and butter, but we didn’t try it, as it looked limp and sad.

Forget the chain pizza places, this one has great pizza and prices. They also have all the standard Italian items like lasagna, etc. I think their stand out item would be the fried cheese ravioli. Crust is thin and crispy.

Good solid choice for NY style slices. I was craving pizza but didn’t want to order a whole pie, and these guys took good care of me. Just wish they were open later!

We live nearby and always enjoy their pizza. What makes this place 5 stars is the service. I recently went to pick up pizzas for our family dinner and I had my 2 yr old with me. Upon paying, the cashier then ran around the counter to open the door for me since my hands were full with pizza and a toddler. Even more amazing, I left that pizza on top of my car when buckling in my daughter and didn’t realize it until I got home. I subsequently called to let them know they probably had 2 pizzas splattered in their parking lot and I wanted to now pay for delivery. They promptly delivered and didn’t charge us for the pizzas! Overall, great pizza from courteous people!

Good find. Pizza was good. Italian Styled with a good thin crust. Not expensive. Decent variety. Not sure I would have the buffalo wings again or the house dressing. But otherwise a solid pizza place

This is the closest thing I can find to NY Style pizza in Texas– As a grew up right outside of NY and now live in Dallas. Always the same quality each time I come in the door. The staff is friendly too. The only downside is the limited parking as the lot has spots reserved for each store in the strip mall. Not their fault… but a huge downside of this location. The Lakewood location as a plethora of spots to choose from. If you’re from the east coast and craving NORMAL pizza, go here.

Meh… I just move here and am looking for a good pizza place. So far I’m not impressed. The service wasn’t too great cause the manager or owner just stood at the front line and stared at everyone with a complacent look while everyone was dodging around him to do their job. The food was just Meh… For now I’ll stick with frozen pizza.

Went there yesterday for lunch with 3 coworkers for the FIRST time. I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana and asked if it was vegetarian. Reason I ask is a lot of restaurants may use vegetables but they fry in fat or add chicken stock, etc. Anyway, the order-taker said, «Well, eggplant IS a vegetable, so yes.» How rude of a comment. And why would you EVER want to make your Customer feel like an idiot for asking a question? I come from a very service-oriented company so to be treated like this as a customer NEVER works for me. I regret spending my money here(paid $ 9 and yes, I tipped). I will never, ever be coming back here and will be sure to tell my friends and other coworkers that this is definitely not a recommended place. Service is key to repeat business and I am utterly disappointed in this establishment.

Great neighborhood business. Family owned and operated and been around for quite a while. Very casual, counter service, it is what it is. I like the pasta and I’m a fan of NY style pizza and these guys do it well. If you’re not up for pizza or pasta — the Greek salad, I add grilled chicken, is a hidden gem.

I’m engaged to an Italian, whose father is from Brooklyn. Their family takes pizza VERY seriously. I once took them to Stromboli’s(RIP) and thought that it was some great pizza. They were not impressed. Distraught, I took them to a couple other pizza places in Dallas and got the same response. Then, I took them to Lover’s Pizza on Lovers Lane. Instantly, the remarked how the place is almost exactly like a pizza place you would find on the Jersey shore or a 1970’s-esque pizza parlor in Brooklyn. The pizza is well priced and the most authentic you can find in the city. Not only was the pizza authentic to them, but they spent a good 10 – 15 minutes chatting with the guy at the cash register who grew up 2 streets over from my Father in law in Brooklyn! It’s been given the seal of approval from a first generation born Italian American who grew up in Brooklyn. I really shouldn’t have to say much more. Disclaimer: If you want something gourmet, head elsewhere. If you want authentic pizza in Dallas where you can wear sweatpants and your favorite glitterpainted cat shirt, I would recommend Lover’s in a heartbeat.

I was craving something quick and comforting and a slice of pizza sounded good, this was nearby, so I popped in and saw the typical goopy mall pizza that I remembered from the early 80s, that I’d eat after a game of PAC man. I didn’t expect to pay almost 8 bucks for two slices of veggie, or the macho prick east coast bullshit attitude of the pizza guys, who were all Hispanic except for one Italian, young and handsome with big forearms and a nice watch. All this had it’s charm as I sat in my booth and munched on my satisfying starch wondering why people still use canned mushrooms on pizza and bemusing that that this comparatively ghetto stretch of monied highland park, with a dominance of mediocre eateries, gives the local kids a chance to experience«the real world», well, sort of. Food — 2 Throwback 70s ambiance — 4 bottom line: it’s so bad it’s kinda awesome.
