I decided to go in a secret squirrel mission for a new taco spot. And I think I found a little gem. This southeast Dallas spot seems to be a family owned place and it’s just small enough to pack a good size punch with every taco. I ordered Barbacoa and fajita tacos to go. As I was waiting I realized they also have ice cream and deserts. Everything is made fresh and to order. No pre made stuff here. When I first opened my order it appeared they forgot all my toppings. Well they put them all in side containers, so they would stay fresh! The size of a fully stocked taco is impressive. And I will also say it was flavorful with fresh made hot sauce. If I had to guess, their business is targeted towards the Spanish speakers .but they are courteous enough to have a special menu in English! Everyone was friendly and it’s just a really good place to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is on my return list for tacos when I’m in the area. It’s worth the extra drive.

Stopped by this evening since La Adelita was closed. Ordered Enchiladas Potosinas, Tacos de bistec and fajitas, gorditas de frijol con queso, chicharron and rajas con queso– a good mixture to try out a new restaurant. The enchiladas were served with rice and a salad, side of potato and carrots. It is unfortunate that all the food was bland(husband said the bean annd cheese gorditas were ok) — from the salsa(no chips for carry out like at Adelita’s!?) to the meat tacos(no lemon slices?!). The bland chicharron gordita. A little bit of salt or seasoning would have gone a long way! Didn’t bother to try the queso and rajas gordita. Overall, would not try them again.

Came here for a late lunch, tried the trompo tacos which were good, wife had the gorditas de desebrada(shredded beef) and she liked them. The red sauce had more flavor in my opinion. It’s very street taco style but with a nice size dining area. We were in & out quickly and they have a good selection of ice cream and Mexican snacks. Will definitely try again and breakfast menu looks yummy also!
