Overall had an ok experience staying here, but a very poor one exiting. Initially the people at the office will seem nice and helpful. But, the moment you encounter a problem, you are on your own, they show very little interest in working with you to fix the issue. And, what makes it worst is that there is virtually no one else higher there to address your problem, they have an illusive corporate number” that’s just always a dead end. Shortly after writing the above post got contacted by a Jennifer– community manager, she gave me the impression she could help. It was a complete waste of time. I still haven’t heard from the corporate office and long story short I am still left with a bill of about $ 1800, that could have been avoided if they handle things better.

Don’t do it. I moved into Landmark in March and it’s been a nightmare ever since. First of all, the gate hardly ever works. The apartment manager said she«would do away with the gate because it causes more problems than not.» My response was that the gate is a security feature and was one of the main factors in my decision on where to live. Goes to show that she is not too concerned with keeping the gate in working condition. On the subject of the gate, it took them a month to provide me with my gate key. The lack of the communication is unbelievable. I had a friend staying at my apartment to dog sit for a week and I informed management to make sure his car would not be towed. Sure enough, his car was towed and it was my fault because I should have gotten a visitor’s pass for him. However, the fact that you can get a visitor’s pass is not listed anywhere nor was I informed when I called to let them know he’d be staying. The smell of weed fills the air more often than not, whether I’m out with my dog or sitting in my living room and it’s seeping through the vents. The grounds are covered in dog poop because no one cleans up after their own and it seems as though management doesn’t bother taking care of the issue. I was sent a package that got delivered to the main office and I received a notification that it was there. However, it seems to have«mysteriously» never been there. I’ve been woken up on a weekly basis from loud neighbors, the most recent being a domestic dispute outside my door at 1:30am. Don’t trust the pictures, the units are nowhere near that nice. My hardwood floors are covered in white paint splatters from carelessness when painting the walls. The carpet was installed so poorly that I couldn’t open my closet doors without ripping it up. I will say the two maintenance men are extremely friendly and very good at their jobs. The switch board that you can call into after hours is also full of overly friendly people. I can’t wait to get out of Landmark. Trust me, look elsewhere.

I finally was contacted by the mysterious Debbie regarding my car. She contacted me only an hour after my last posting to Unilocal,so I am assuming that is the only means of communicating with this company. After asking me what she can do for me, as though she wasn’t familiar with the reason for my calls, she let me know that it had taken them a month to pull the gate report and it-of course-showed no malfunctions. I never indicated a date for this incident, so I can only assume that the gate never, ever in life malfunctions based off of that report. She then offered me a brand spanking new gate card for my aggravation and told me that I would need to go through my insurance company for the damage that they’ve caused. There wasn’t even an offer of apology. Considering the multitude of complaints regarding the defunct gate, I consider the notion of «we saw no indication of a malfunction» as an insult to my intelligence. When I asked for a direct number as I was entering work and couldn’t really speak further, she was«traveling» and had no direct extension and offered an email address to a person I’ve never heard of before. Her attitude was aloof, condescending and generally unconcerned about the complaint at hand. I might as well have spoken Mandarin to the dead-eyed Crystal to get a similar response. For the $ 678 worth of damage caused by their gate, I wasn’t even offered a carpet cleaning for my inconvenience. So, in turn, I will escalate this to the Better Business Bureau as I find it to be ridiculous that a resident can be treated as more of an annoyance than with the respect and dignity my rent should afford. Please, please find somewhere else to reside. It just isn’t worth it.
