Hi everyone who sees this review this restaurant is now mesa veracruz coastal cuisine which is at the same location 118. west Jefferson Blvd in Oak cliff Dallas Texas 75 208, mesa is a twist of la palapa which was our first family restaurant with more elegance, recycled décor, and the best regional Mexican food named by D magazine 2011.

This place is a steal! Great food that’s always fresh and the place is never crowded. Try the seafood soup but be warned, the large serving is huge! A great variation from the regular Cliff food scene.

Admist the many quincenera shops and torta stands along Jefferson, La Veracruzana stands as one of the lone seafood restaruants. According to the owner, they just opened a couple months ago so things are still being dialed in. What counts is the food is great. I had fish tacos for lunch and I will definitely be going back. They have Arroz ala Tumbada which comes highly recommended. I’ll probably try that next time. If you like La Calle Dolce you’ll probably like Varacruzana’s food more. It doesn’t have the ambiance of La Calle Dolce but I think the food and prices are much better.
