Their fajita beef makes for some killer BBQ. Friendly staff, great prices, just all around a killer little place to stock up on Mexican essentials.

After a few of our neighbors recommended this place, I decided to give it a whirl. We had a Mexican BBQ party and thought surely 5 pounds would be too much for 9 people and everybody ate it all up! The cashier’s English is good enough to help you find whatever you need in the store. I am excited about checking out their lunch specials eventually, but if it’s just mouth-watering, cheap, fajita meat you crave, look no further!

well, i’m living over in the gaston/skillman area these days, so i rolled into la micho for some fajita meat. now, i should tell you that i do a lot of grocery shopping at la michoacana. i’m a fan on facebook. i am pretty loyal to their fajita meat. that and the el pastor are a staple of my diet. anyway, some are kind of gross. this one is one of the new builds and it is brand new on the inside. the quality of the vegetables was a lot better than usual. tomatoes are always crap at any la micho, but everything else was fine and extremely cheap as always. the cilantro was fresh, clean, and DRY. i hate wet cilantro. so i came what i came to get. supplies for heath’s taqueria, which is open most nights i’m at home until about 9pm. mine are usually a little healthier than most, but tonight i got the fajita meat, and there is nothing healthy about it. but good god. stuff is so effing good if grilled correctly. but grilling instructions for fajita meat is for a whole other forum. anyway, clean, bigger, and decent veggies. i attached a pic of the tacos created from their meat. it is simply so good. i am like known for my tacos/fajitas among my peoples and no matter how many times i tell them that«i don’t do anything to it. i just take it from the store and put it on the grill»… they still claim i make the best. i’m actually so tired of trying not to take credit, i may begin to just take credit. make up a whole story about a 4 day process the meat goes through before it is up to heath’s standards for consumption. so based on their fajita meat, 5 stars man.

Really good, authentic Mexican taqueria inside. VERY friendly, english speaking cashier kind and helpful to gringos like me deciding what to get. Great lunch value: Two meats, rice, beans and SIX corn tortillas… only $ 4.99.
