I went to the Jazz Mixx class, and had a blast! The people were so friendly, and I had a great workout, with a balance of cardio dance, core work and free weights. The music was so fun, and the hour passed quickly. Marcia, the instructor, was fun, funny and motivating. She cued low impact options, but I love to jump around so I chose the high impact options. Sweat was dripping off of me!!! Jazzercise is definitely not your mom’s workout, it would appeal to all ages!!! I will certainly be back to dance, sweat and let loose!

In my opinion, the best thing about Jazzercise is that it is performed to a musical beat. The music is everything from current hits to oldies. There are multiple types of formats which allows you to pick your favorite class to attend. I have tried every format and haven’t found any I consider too difficult. As Susan N. Said you will find ages from 20s to the 80s taking the class and everyone is having a great time.

Where do I begin? I have taken about 8 classes from 4 different instructors. I tried both low impact and the regular class. I am a person who has been working out for years and am in decent shape. My issue with this program is that the movements are extremely spastic and extremely fast at the expense of working a muscle group properly and at the expense of working out safely. The instructors rarely give alternate workout suggestions. I’m talking maybe one tip in the whole hour class. That’s not a lot if u have ever attended one of these. I think the instructors should be focusing on teaching the technique of the movements to avoid injury. Hell I could just run in place for an hour and not risk getting hurt vs attending these classes. I took body pump(a workout class that involves weight lifting and cardio) for years. They really focused on doing the movements properly. This should be integrated into this program for those who have never worked out or who don’t know how to modify their workouts. Overall I am very disappointed in this program and don’t recommend for beginners unless ur aiming to pull a muscle or twist an ankle!!!
