Don’t go on Thursday. Food was terrible… Left around food was reheated and fed, we had to send it back. New dish took over an hour, still wasn’t good… Smdh…

Watered down drinks and the Dj talks too much and plays snippets of songs all night. Not what I was expecting

I went to this lounge to pre-game before we went out for the night. This place had cheap cocktails and great Jamaican food. The jerk chicken and fries were great. The DJ was good and he took request. This place turns into a party after hours.

Went on Friday night for«Poetry Slam». I was impressed with the all the talent and the fun atmosphere. Great Drinks. Food was«okay». I had the Heroes Jerk chicken with cabbage and Rice. The chicken was dry and the Rice wasn’t seasoned at all. Cabbage was good. Server was not knowledgeable but extremly sweet. Overall, i enjoyed myself and would definitely go back.

Food was pretty good. Loved the jerk wings. Went there on a Saturday night with a friend based off a radio ad. The waiters are a little slow to come around even after ordering to refill drinks. They had a live band and great music. They clear out the tables around 11 and it turns into a Caribbean dance club /lounge. The place really gets filled up after midnight. If you’re interested in some good Caribbean music and food, it’s worth dropping in.

Came here early on a Saturday evening(around 8p), so there was a nice laid back vibe, things weren’t very turned up. The live band was great. The food is okay. I had Jamaican patties and the coco bread it came with was kind of dry. The woman bartender gave good service, but the waitresses were very inattentive. I noticed they only really checked in on men. However, if you want a nice vibe and good music on a Saturday evening, this is a nice spot.

Oh goddddd! The owner needs to do something about the unbearable heat in this place! It’s hella hottt and uncomfortable, especially in the Summer! He is always there and is always walking up and down all night, so he knows how disgustingly uncomfortable it is. Additionally, the very gritty and uneven terrain outside in the compound will cause you to lose your balance and eat the lifts off yor shoe heels! If you have asthma, then walk with your pump if you use one.

heroes was just ok I definitely didn’t expect that especially since the radio always advertise them. its a very small club some seating if you are buying something to eat there are some reserved tables to sit at which were nice. I don’t think I would be coming back because it was SOOOOOHOTT it felt like mid day of the summer do they we are in TEXAS… I do not like to be hot at all so I was ready to go as soon as I stepped in there and felt that heat hit me. If i do come back ill call and see if the air is working first and maybe just for the food because it is worth going to for that other than that i need AC in my life especially when im drinking thoses $ 1 drinks every Sunday night until 10pm. The music is good i aint gonna knock them on that just the AC. #igotamexicanhomiethatwillfixyoAC

Had the Ox tail and the spicy shrimp… both were excellent. The drinks were subpar, but great live reggae music. It’s not the fanciest of places, but has a good vibe overall. I’ll be back for the food.

It’s a decent place. (My first time there was for the fight, so I’m sure I didn’t get the real experience I’ve heard about). Pros: +They had a few TVs around to watch sports. Definitely a plus there. + Live music with seating + Outdoor seating, which is a great thing too. + The people were chill(an older crowd, that could be why there weren’t rowdy people fighting which I dislike tremendously). + It was cozy. I don’t like HUGE lounges or clubs. + The bartenders were friendly, quick and attentive. *** I definitely felt that it was a good place to chill, but the crowd was not my type of crowd(if that makes sense). Cons: — The crowd was not what I expected. I thought it would be a bit more of a dressed up crowd, but most people were dressed down(sandals, saw some basketball shorts). I prefer a more dressed up/fashion forward scene when I go out. It is just a preference. — I didn’t eat their food because I’m a vegetarian and they didn’t have any options for me. Therefore, I can’t speak on if the food was good or not. — It was pretty hot in there and I had on very little clothes lol. I dealt with it though. — The live reggae was too slow for me. I prefer upbeat, dance, reggae. — I do not like the area the lounge is in, it feels seedy. The parking lot needs to be redone too. ***I doubt I’ll go back. It was not my type of scene overall.

Love it here! Great reggae music and atmosphere my fav place in Dallas! Great place 2 go when u want live music and food. It’s a little hard to find because it’s tucked away in the parking lot in the back. It is also always packed so if you want to eat get there early ! They also have poetry slams too on different days :)

I actuality kinda liked this place… but I didn’t get the full experience … I plan to revisit and post another review I went on the wrong night(Valentine’s –Packed Night) so i quickly hurried out the door. but I do plan to go back And enjoy some open Mike poetry and cuisine. I liked that it was small and cozzy … the crowd wasn’t too young and not to old. You could tell it was about to get Weird-Up. The Dj played a mix but mostly up to date rap and hiphop … and I understand the genre changes later I’m the evening.

BEWAREOFPREJUDICE!!! against patrons that are not black. I have loved this place and went many times. Referred a lot of friends and musicians to visit. I had heard negative things about the way the white lady patrons were treated but had only experienced couple of things in the past, such as the male bartender that is not kind at all to white ladies and the black women in the club tend to be very rude and try to make the white ladies feel uncomfortable. But I have always gotten past these issues and had a good time as all I want to do is drink and dance. This past Saturday Night, Valentines Day, I was spending it with my man when I got up from the chair we had been sitting in all night, a black lady grabbed my chair right from under my butt. I turned to her and said REALLY you took my chair and she took a sip on her drink and laughed. She sat the drink down on the table, I reached over and turned it upside down. She went to get security, then came back, pushed the table into my arm and ribs and then socked me in the face. Management came and got me, put me out of the club, did nothing to her. I now have a huge bruise on my arm and face and I was treated very badly while she was allowed to HITSOMEONE and physically harm then and I did nothing. I wanted her to go to jail and call the police but management asked me not too. I should have as when I went back in her boyfriend was making comments and saying negative things to me from across the room, so I re approached as she was partying and having fun and they put me out of the club again. Again the boyfriend of this women came outside and continued taunting me. And I was the one put out and not her. THis was out right discrimination as I did absolutely nothing but come to the club, buy drinks with my man and tried to sit in our seats and enjoy our night. I truly REGRETNOT calling the police and pressing charges against this women… as today I am covered with bruises. The owner has promised that this woman will be banned from the club and other things. But that did not happen when I was there and from friends that stayed there told me nothing was done to her for what she did. This is ABSOLUTE discrimination against me, as again, I did nothing except stand up from my chair to adjust my dress and she was allowed to do all she did and hurt me. So sad, BEWAREOFTHISCLUB!!!

I would give this place 3 or four stars if it weren’t for the fact the server took 15 minutes to check on us(it is a seat yourself place). We ordered and the server took 30 minutes to bring out my boyfriend’s food and to tell me they were out of what I ordered. Now thirty minutes past that I still have no food and my boyfriend is finished eating. I have seen multiple people get served. No apologies, no discount offered. I am upset and offended. It is my birthday, so yeah, uh Happy Birthday to me. EDIT: 30 minutes later and my food looks nastier than grade school cafeteria slop. …

It was a cool vibe… We came because of a day party that is ALWAYS advertised on the radio. The party starts at 5, but when we got there at 6, they weren’t any other patrons there. It looked closed because there were zero cars in the lot. However, you could hear the music, so we knew they were open. So we decided to eat and the food and drinks were really good. I wish all of our food came out at the same time. I felt kinda bad eating my food while my friends waited for their’s…even tho we ordered at the same time. But I was hungry, so… The music was really loud and we had to scream pretty much the entire time… even though we were the only ones there until about 7:30. There was a live band and they alternated back and forth with the DJ… The band was great… the DJWASWHACK… maybe he was doing an internship and this was his first gig… very choppy transitions from song to song. One minute you hear a song you like and he would change it the next 30secs… BOO… He killed our vibe at times… The later it got, the more crowded it became… We left once the lights got lowered and the Rasta man grabbed my butt… after telling him off, we hit the door. The day party was a no go(the reason we came), but it definitely gets TURNT up after 10pm.

Flowing reggae music, flowing drinks… and rocking moves on the dance floor! Loving this place. I’m feeling like I’ve stepped into the islands of the Caribbean! Great spot to be on a Saturday night. Prime people watching too. They have a live reggae band and the drummer looks like Bob Marley. Can’t wait to try the food next! Don’t be fooled by the way it looks on the outside. Come on in and dance your tail off!

Went last night for a birthday party and the kid told me it was $ 10 for me to park my own car, and you’re calling this«valet»? This is the most ghetto thing I’ve ever heard. As a female I never visit places where I can’t valet. Epic FAIL Jay. I turned around and went back home. I’ve visited Heroes in the past and their food is sub par at best, no flavor at all and VERY overpriced.

Went to Heroes Lounge on Friday night for Poetic Happy Hour & the Poetry Slam afterwards and I absolutely enjoyed myself! When we first arrived I was a bit nervous because the area looks pretty desolate and run-down and our GPS had us going around in circles(it’s kinda ducked off down a slight hill) – it was hard to find… and when we found it, we weren’t sure we were in the right place! Buuuut $ 1 drinks and 50% off apps? Let’s go in and have at least a look around! The venue was pretty typical of a hole-in-the-wall bar/lounge in the Greenville area… chairs/tables with makeshift«VIP» areas, TV’s were located around the bar area as well, plenty of sitting/standing space depending on the type of event. Now, I was hungry… everyone else was thirsty — so $ 1 drinks began to flow and I was eyeing the menu. I love Jamaican food so I was excited about getting the jerk chicken plate. It came with jerk chicken(dark meat), cabbage, and rice & peas. Everything was pretty tasty and you get a nice portion for what you pay. No complaints there. We also had the parmesan fries, those were REALLY good(we ordered another basket a later as well)– can’t really go wrong with the simple things and if you do… ehhh. The tables in the bar area(not sure if these were on every table) had a cute little«conversation game» on the table that made entertaining ourselves pretty easy. Each card had a question or topic to discuss, so we did that for a little while waiting on the poetry slam to start. The flyer states that the poetry slam starts at 7 pm… either the flyer needs to be updated ooooooor they were running on CPT because it didn’t start until a little after 8pm. But once it got started it was sooo much fun! I’d never been to a Poetry Night/Slam and I cannot wait to go back again. There was so much talent on the stage it was mind blowing! I’m not sure if Heroes hosts other events or is open for dining at any other time, if not, Friday night is definitely a must try night for entertainment and dinner!

This is an Authentic Jamaican restaurant with authentic Jamaican food and music. Upon driving onto the Parking lock I realized that it was a little whole in the wall(which are the best ones). When we arrived inside, it was empty; however although it was Saturday, there was plenty of seating, there was a Bar area small but a, few patrons the dining area had about 7 table of 4 ‘sand a couple of lounge areas. Now to the food and drinks The prices were reasonable on the food, but a little over the top for drinks. They had drinks for as low as $ 1.00 or $ 3.00 ;however ladies beware these drinks are served in plastic. For those that have an issue you can orders premium drink for about $ 10.00. This was explain to me when I requested a glass(ODD) The music was great! We spent $ 74.00 plus a $ 10.00 tip on 2 jerk chicken dinners, fried plantain and 4 ultimate rum punches, a little steep for that establishment. The service was ok I would come back, but just for the music.
