Love this place! I know it’s simple but my favorite is cheese pizza with ricotta. So good!

Came by on a Wednesday night and it was my first experience eating at a Grimaldis. I do think they are a very solid brick fired oven pizza restaurant for a chain and I’ve only had better brick fired oven pizzas at smaller non chain restaurants. My coworkers and I ordered the spinach salad as well as caprese salad to start off and the caprese was very good! Spinach salad was standard fare although I did appreciate the bits of bacon that were present. We had a party of 10 and ordered all 5 specialty pizzas in L and a small sized customized pizza as we only had a few slices left over(party of 8 guys and 2 girls) the waiter had originally recommended the small for our large party and we’re definitely glad we went with the large size. The don is definitely one of the better pizzas on their menu with the combination of Italian sausage, meatballs, and pepperoni. The least eaten pizza we got was the garden. We did order a few desserts to end the night and tried the: cannoli, ny style cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, and the tiramisu. We shared all the desserts and I think the best dessert they have is the tiramisu. I’d definitely come back to grimaldis for pizza in the future, although it is a little on the pricy side!

Very nice service. I ordered the magherita pizza and it was dry, not enough cheese, and the crust was not delicious.

Love, love, loved it! Great pizza. We had a big group so 6 pizzas in all. Every pizza was different and everyone was delicious. On one of the pizzas we added ricotta cheese, wish we added it on every one. The ricotta made the pizza extra rich and creamy… quite an indulgent pleasure. Service was good, atmosphere was homey and comfortable. In fact, the pizza here is so good that shortly after you think you are finished, you’ll find yourself reaching for another piece. Would highly recommend.

Great pizza, but horrendous, horrible, seizure inducing lighting. They should be ashamed of themselves. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen in my 52 years. They deserve just 1 star, but the pizza is damn good. They could be so awesome if the ownership wasn’t so ignorant of current standards of interior design and comfort. If you are suicidal, don’t come here, the lighting will make you want to vomit. Excuse me, I just hurled on my iPhone.

Stopped by on 11⁄23 at around 5pm. ordered a small Pepperoni with Red Peppers Sausage and spinach pizza. The pizza was good. The crust was cooked just like I like it. The only issue was we saw several Male Grimaldi’s workers go into the Men’s Room with their aprons on. One guy had the plastic kind while the other guy had the regular cloth apron. All went in with them on and came out with them on(out of the bathroom). That seems like a violation of the health code? I’m not sure but it didn’t seem very sanitary. I still like Grimaldi’s and I’ve eaten at locations across the country but Management needs to make sure everyone follows the safety and sanitation guidelines; at all times.

Okay but not the same pie I’m accustom to at the original location. Maybe it’s the Niagara water authority of perhaps the burn oven. I can’t put my finger on it. Everything else is up to par and consistent with Grimaldi standards. Look forward to trying something other than traditional margarita pizza. PS if I had not eaten at the original location, this review would be 4 Star’s.

I actually think Grimaldi’s does thin crust pizza REALLY well. The crust doesn’t get soggy from the weight of the toppings, it’s crispy but still filling(versus flatbreads or some pizzas which tend to feel like I’m just eating crackers with toppings). Their personal pizza size is quite large, so you will more than likely have 2 – 3 slices left to take home with you(unless you’re absolutely famished, in which case it will be the perfect serving). I really recommend their«white sauce and garlic» pizza. It’s super tasty(it’s pretty garlic-y though, but so worth it. as long as you’re not on a first date or something.) and if you’re a fan of white sauce you will NOT be disappointed. I also recommend adding ricotta cheese as one of your toppings regardless of what sauce you get — so yummy. I also had mushrooms and italian sausage to my pizza. While I loved how it tasted, next time I would prob substitute one topping for spinach or tomatoes just to add color to my otherwise«boring-looking» pizza. Surprisingly enough, I really enjoyed their caesar salad. Really fresh greens, tasty, but not disgustingly heavy on the dressing(felt lighter than the typical caesar salad dressing but just as flavorful). You feel like you’re actually eating something somewhat healthy. Customer service was also on point. I was with a large table, and our server did a great job on successfully getting us 10 completely different, personal pizzas. She even took care of boxing our leftover pizzas and labeling them with our names! So although I think the décor of the place is a little outdated, this place really does have amazing pizza and service!

Delicious NY style pizza! Perfectly baked crust, blackened and crispy. Yummm! Personal size is enough for two people to share. Mangia!

Pizza is crispy, the salads are delightful. Their wine selection could use a little bit of tweaking. Overall, all my meals here have been pleasant. This particular evening, there was a thunderstorm the lights went out. Did people leave? No way. The kitchen committed to dish out pies and the staff remained hospitable. Every customer in there was having a great time, socializing, eating and drinking. Cheers to the staff! They stayed focused on customer satisfaction despite the power outage.

I loved the waiter, Sean! He had an awesome attitude and great customer skills. The restaurant was medium size and beautifully decorated. The pizza was delicious, but it’s expensive. I can get similar pizza for a cheaper price and with high quality ingredients. Take off the ala carte! Have a standard pizza with 3 toppings and any extras for an additional cost. It was good, but I don’t have to go back unless I win a gift card or a free pizza.

After my lunch plans fell through, I decided to visit Grimaldi’s for lunch one afternoon. I walked in and was greeted pretty quickly and assigned a table. Then I waited. I waited so long that I was about to grab my purse and walk out the door. It was as if they could read my mind and a gentleman came over to take my drink order. Then my server came over to check on the status of my drink order and see if I was ready to order. My expectations for this place were high but their menu is so sparse. I would prefer to have a selections of pizzas to choose from with the option to make my own pizza. Instead, you start with a pizza and they charge you for every single topping. No thanks. I opted for a pepperoni pizza because a) I’m not creative and b) I wanted some good old pepperoni. Luckily i read a few reviews beforehand so I was not alarmed by the tiny pepperoni. The pizza itself was not very tasty and I’m not sure that I will go back for overpriced, tasteless pizza. Plus the service was mediocre at best and I waited so long at certain points that I seriously contemplated walking out. No thanks.

This was the first non-OG Grimaldi’s I’ve ever been to, and it didn’t disappoint. I mean, yes, it’s a chain restaurant setting inside. The wait staff were nice though, and the food was pretty close to what you get at the Brooklyn location. The caesar salad was done well, as was the white pizza with fresh tomatoes. There aren’t many places outside of NY area where you can get white pizza, so I was excited to be able to finally stuff some into my face hole again. I love white pizza! They have half price wines on Tuesday night, but unfortunately the deal excludes their house wines so you can’t get a $ 2 glass, but you can get a $ 3 glass! They also halve the price of bottles and ½ carafes that night.

I had a late lunch with a friend at this restaurant. I did a «build your own». Actually, I don’t think they offer pizza’s like supreme’s nor margerita… I did a personal pizza and ordered like 3 toppings and asked for a side of pesto for a dipping sauce. I had ONE glass of wine. And for My tab it was around $ 33. There pizza is good but NOT if they are going to nickel and dime you @ $ 2−4/topping. They are WAY over priced. I get better pizza at a good cost out of a food truck on Klee Warren park. There wine menu is also over priced. My glass of wine was $ 10. Don’t they believe in some sort of lunch special prices. The service was great but damn. Damn their prices to hell. Also, if you order a caprese salad, there is no balsamic reduction! Nada, zip, zero! Seriously, don’t waste your time unless you have extra cash to throw in the trash. Oh and DONOT order the basil to be cooked into your pizza. Ask for it to be topped after baking. Otherwise you end up with dried, unflavorful leaves. They might as well just be leaves off of a tree.

First time ordering from the Park Lane location was a good experience. I ordered a small pie(16 inches) to take out with jalapenos, olives, green peppers, and spinach. In 20 minutes, I was devouring a slice of heaven — in the car. I was a little impatient. It was piping hot, fresh, and spicy just the way I like it. The crust was crispy, brick-oven style — not too thick or thin. My expectations were exceeded and it tasted just as good as their NY counterparts. I have finally found a spot in Dallas for great pizza and plan on returning. The restaurant itself looked great to dine-in. I may just do that the next time and get a salad as well. I wouldn’t expect too much in terms of the appetizers. Pizza is their specialty and they have perfected it. Only room for improvement is to possibly make even slices to avoid arguments as to who gets the bigger piece. Parking was not a problem, it’s located within a shopping center. I would have had a picture, but Unilocal was acting a little funny when I took it. Thanks Unilocal. You’ll just have to take my word for it.

I love this place, been going since the chain opened in Dallas. Great brick oven pizza, probably the best in town. Came here at about 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon, party of about 12. No problems getting seated. Server was nice, and split checks easily. The food: We got 3 small salads and 3 large pizzas, more than enough food for us. Only drawbacks is that no liquor, and semi pricy, large pizza is about $ 18 and toppings are about $ 2 each. Wine /beer is about $ 7 per. I will keep on coming back for the great pizza though.

We’ve been going here for several years and Grimaldi’s has turned into one of our favorite pizza places in Dallas. This last time, however, it was an entirely different experience. We got our usual, Caprese salad which was good, and a pepperoni pizza. This time, instead of the crispy crust it was soggy. The pepperoni did not have the same flavor. In fact the entire pizza lacked any flavor at all. I am not sure if they changed recipes(I hope not) or if there was an inexperienced cook in the kitchen who did not cook it long enough. The pizza was a big disappointment. We went on a Friday night and the place was almost empty. Is this a sign that the restaurant is going downhill? After so many years of consistently great pizza we owe it one more shot, but if that is like our recent experience we won’t be coming back.

Best pizza in Dallas. Period! Spent the first ½ of my life in NYC and this is as close to authentic NY pizza as you’re going to get here. I highly recommend the calzone, but it’s huge. Makes for great leftovers though.

I hear so many people mention that Ghirmadeli’s is the best pizza in town but as far as I’m concerned it’s just average. On my last visit there we had a short wait and got seated a lot faster then expected. Our waitress was really friendly and quick. Honestly the waitress was probably the best part of the entire dining experience. We were starving and wanted an appetizer but they didn’t have true appetizers, the only options were salads. We went ahead and ordered the Greek salad. The small is enough for two people. I have had this salad before and loved it but on this visit, I think they over did it on the dressing as it was extremely bitter tasting. We didn’t finish the salad. We also requested some bread to come first but they didn’t have butter or anything that you would traditionally find at an Italian restaurant. We ordered a large pizza with one half ham, mushrooms, extra cheese. The other half was pepperoni and black olives. The other thing I found strange was that they didn’t have any suggested house specialty pizzas. I always like to try what the restaurant would consider their specialty but we couldn’t. The pizza was fresh and hot but rather flavorless. In all honesty there isn’t anything bad to say about the restaurant but there isn’t any reason why I would come back and visit. The restaurant is rather expensive but the offerings are really simple. So to me it is like a New York style pizza you can find a 2am in New York but it’s way over priced. I would only come back here if someone else really wanted to go and it wasn’t my choice.

My boyfriend and I have always came to Grimaldi’s and always enjoyed our experience. The service is good, the staff is always friendly and of course the pizza is delicious. There’s a couple things on the menu, pizza, salad and calzones. Also don’t ask for Ranch, they will look at ya like your crazy! Truly great pizza.
