I should start by saying the atmosphere and food were really good, however, I can only give one star because I don’t understand the valet parking. The parking lot should be for Gloria’s patrons and valet should be parking cars in a different area. I saw people paying for valet parking twenty feet from the front door then they just hand the keys to them after they eat and they walk to their own car? Please, give me a reason why! Because of the parking situation, you have lost me as a customer. I will never return. What a joke. El Fenix has better margaritas anyway. El Fenix here we come!!!

Their fish tacos in flour tortillas are really good! must try. They use to sell yucca fries but not anymore. Idk if they sell horchata anymore. But they never have it. Price is okay and service is good

Prior to my visit to Gloria’s, I heard many great reviews from friends. Multiple even claimed it to be their favorite Latin cuisine restaurant. Hmm. I don’t know about all of that, but their food is quite tasty. Parking availability is very limited(valet is your only option). We dined here on a Wednesday evening & the lot was surprisingly full. However, there are quite a number of spots available on the side of the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. Dim lighting. semi romantic. Our party of 10+ was immediately seated(reservations were made two days in advance). Though we only had one waiter, serving was not delayed. Never recall myself searching for him or asking for a refill. I stepped out of my enchilada comfort zone and tried their Tacos Al Carbon. I do not regret my choice one bit. The flour tortillas were perfectly buttered/browned & the steak was tender. Next time I’ll substitute the refried beans for black beans. However this time, their amazing bean dip, that is brought out with the chips & salsa, got me through dinner. My boyfriend enjoyed the Chile Relleno with shrimp & a beef enchilada. I also had a Fresh Strawberry Mojito, which was very good. I’d definitely go back!

I have had some great Latin food, this was not it. Waiters were pleasant. The food had way too much salt. Looks great from the outside, but the outdoor seating is right next to a busy road, so it can be loud. I don’t think I will come back.

I was with a large group of people when I say large I mean there was at least 15 of us. We didn’t have to wait long for the tables however; we were seated upstairs. Being seated upstairs wouldn’t have been sooo bad but we had at least three elderly ladies walking with canes that was a part of the group that just died when they found out that they had to tackle at least 3 flights of stairs.(I was too actually). That was the first disaster. The second was the time we had to wait for our food. After being seated we waited about 45 min before they even took our order and then after the food was ordered we had to wait another 35 min for it to get to us. Third disaster was that the food gets to the table and it is what??? COLD!!! I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The price was $ 13.99 and it was not worth that amount of money. I have had better Mexican food. Will I go back to that particular location… NOOOO!!!

The reason this review is receiving two stars off is for the parking. I arrived here last Saturday around 8pm. I pulled into Valet and they told me the lot was full. So I drive around looking for a spot for about 8+ minutes before circling my way back to the Valet line where they were apparently now taking more cars. I gave the same valet guy that turned me around a not so friendly look and he apologized for turning me away the first time. Granted, it was obvious that a lot of people where leaving which explained the sudden space for more cars, but I really didn’t care. Parking is impossible in this area, I was hungry and I really didn’t appreciate the run around with parking regardless of what the situation was. Anyway… My friend and I sat on the patio which is beautiful by the way. I ordered the beef enchiladas which were above average but not amazing. Should have asked for more chili con carne. The rice and beans were moist and what I was expecting to receive. But for some reason, the bean dip was off. Usually its amazing, but this time it was just ok. My friend ordered the fish tacos and he liked them. I had a strawberry/mango margarita and it was great. They have the best margaritas in Dallas. My friend wanted me to try Merlot so he got us a bottle. Long story short, we are almost done drinking the bottle, I pick up the bottle to read the label and realize the waitress gave us Cabernet Sauvignon, not Merlot. I am not a red wine drinker so I had no way of picking up on this. Being that I liked it and the price was around the same as the Merlot, I didn’t complain. Plus this was a first date so I wanted to be on my best behavior, but had I been with my girls, I would have spoke up. Other than that, our service was great. All In all, I enjoyed myself. This area is extremely congested and fire trucks and ambulances kept passing by but there’s nothing anyone can do about that. I will def revisit.

Really like this location. I got there before it open while waiting I see that they put cones out for valet parking. This was my first time here and I did not and still don’t know the rules when it comes to parking. It’s not the biggest parking lot so I just parked at the first lot and waited. I was greeted and welcomed as soon as I walked in and was seated on the top floor. Very nice décor to this restaurant. I sat by a window– nice view while watching the trees sway back and forth. I ordered what I knew I would like– quesadillas. Steak that is and it was delicious. Beforehand though it was the chips, salsa, and black beans that had my attention. Everything was really good and I would order it again. Service was excellent. From walking in the door to actually being waited on. My waitress was nice and my food didn’t take long. All in All highly recommend Gloria’s. PS. I didn’t quite understand the parking. I did notice that most cars got a ticket to velet park. Some even parked their own cars. I’m thinking that it’s valet parking period and I just so happen to get there early. I can say that I’ll probably never get to know the deal with the parking because I know this area gets busy around here and I know to come early.(For myself) Bone appetit y’all

We got here after 1 pm, and there was still quire a crowd. There were 14 of us but they did put together seaing on the covered patio for us, quickly. Nice atmosphere and the happy hour drinks were nice. For some reason my margarita had no salt on the rim(somerhing is ALWAYS wrong with one item i’ve ordered when I’m with a large group of my family. Don’t know if the waiter just stops listening or what, but I was 3rd order he took, not 9th or 13th), But one of my dining companions was not fond of HIS margaria so we swapped and had the saltless one comped. So that workd out correctly. The margarita is VERY yellow colored, could they be using key lime? And there was an aftertaste, everyone remarked on that but the drink was overall good., Much better with the salted rim than without. The crispy taco plate was delicious. There was not much lettuce or tomato to top the tacos, BUT it was all fresh and nicely flavored. VERY big bonus in using freshly shredded cheese(not preshredded bagged tossed with cellulose to stop clumping). Very small portion of beans, rice was slightly larger portion. Again, tasted good. Rice is not the tomatoey Spanish rice. Closer to a cilantro lime kind. And the smaller portions of those sides only highlighted what a nice serving size the main foods were.

After hearing so many good things, I was pretty underwhelmed at Gloria’s today. The bean dip/salsa was pretty darn good but everything else was disappointing. We ordered the chimichangas which came topped with Velveta(or at least that’s what it tasted like) and the Carne Asada & Melted Cheese dish drenched in this odd tomato-based sauce. The server took a really long time getting to our table and we asked for a drink menu 4 times! I didn’t get the drink until 30 minutes after being seated. I wish my experience lived up to the hype.

I’ve grown up going to every Gloria’s in Dallas-It’s my family’s Cheers-and I think I might love this one the best. Balcony seating! The patio scene is lit, the bar always has a nice mix of regulars, friendly, great service, incredible food-I always order the quesadillas or nachos grandísimos– and drinks as per usual. My fiancé and I invite our friends and we’re always accommodated without a problem, always greeted with a smile. No way around the valet but it’s a small cost compared to the entire experience –so laid back you’ll find yourself there for a few hours-luxurious! Best restaurant in Dallas.

Came here on a weekend trip with my friends. It was the first place we went to after we checked into our Air BnB. It’s located in the cutest area in Bishop Arts. The waiter Jose was SO sweet, gave us great bar recommendations, and was so accomodating. The salsa and bean dip is complimentary, and was SO yummy and delicious. We also got the queso dip. Food here is great and was so satisfying.

I have been here multiple times and have always received great service. The food is prepared well and have no complaints at all. Even at peak times they are able to get people seated and serve them properly. I love the margaritas here and my only suggestion would be to add a TV in the bar area. This is a nice place to chill out and would enjoy a little TV while I enjoy my drink.

The service here is my main issue. We walked up to the door and the several workers ignored us including one of the manager’s who was holding open the door. They were having their own conversation and our arrival seemed to matter not. Next we were shown to a half booth. Meaning booth on one side chairs on the other. Fine except that it appeared that an entire basket of chips had been crumbled and wasted on the booth and they expected us to sit there??? At this point had my mother not been with us we would have left; too many things going wrong from the start. We stayed and 80 bucks later I? Guess I’m glad we did? Theis and I each had Mimosas we weren’t impressed but for 2 bucks each not a bad deal. My mom got and loved the Crispy taco dinner(it really did come with an overabundance of beef which she loved). Theis had the Carne Salvatex he’s had better but it must have been ok based on the speed in which it disappeared. I pigged out and had the Ceviche Trio and Shreaded Ckn Sopes. Both were good. I really liked the Ceviche; I could have made a meal out of that really. Over all this is a good place in a great location I just wish they could improve on the cleaning of the tables and the friendliness of the staff.

Great Latin cuisine! Great place for Sunday dinner! The service was fast and friendly. The chile rellenos where awesome and the steak shrimp and yucca plate was good as well. My daughter also love her beef enchiladas.

My family and I love this location. They are very consistent and the service is always friendly. The entire staff always pitches in to get our 18 month old in a good place(which as parents this part is amazing because it seems most restaurants in our area do not cater to children or in that case families). The food is always on point and it gets to the table very quickly. The atmosphere is energetic because this location stays pretty busy. We definitely stop in on the regular.

Ok so as far as customer service, I had a good experience. My waiter was attentive and funny. This is not always the case when I come to this location. It’s either hit or miss. As far as the food, it’s good. I came during the lunch hour on a Wednesday so it wasn’t crowded or anything. The food portions were pretty small though. I ordered the salmon and it was little bitty. Too small for the price. Oh yeah, and this place is a bit over priced. Come during lunch and it’s cheaper, but dinner prices don’t match expectation because the food can get pretty bland. With so many Latin and Mexican cuisines in Dallas, this place is just OK. I do recommend coming for the weekend brunch. They used to do $ 1 mimosas. Not sure if they still do that though.

Great family meal for a 17-year-old birthday. Everything from the chips and salsa to the queso to enchiladas and seafood special were delicious. Surprisingly, the same cannot be said about their top shelf margaritas. For $ 10 they were small and did not come close to others i’ve had. The setting in an old firehouse added a lot of charm. Service was good as well, and we took advantage of the valet outside because of the crowded parking lot. If it hadn’t been so hot outside we would’ve also spent time in the large seating area outside.

I had never been to Glorias, so we headed down to the Bishop Arts area for a Sunday lunch. I was surprised we had to valet — that added $$ to the visit. Wish we could’ve parked ourselves. The staff was very nice and quite accommodating. They wanted to seat us upstairs and my husband said«remember not to make old people walk up stairs,» so they seated us downstairs.(Didn’t appreciate that«old» remark, but since he was taking me to lunch I forgave him). I liked the salsa and creamy black beans they serve before the meal. The salsa was almost too raw tomatoe-y, but the spicy kick made up for it. My husband gave the waiter a hard time about everything having onions in it, but he just smiled and apologized. He made sure everything my husband received didn’t have a spot of onion on it. Kudos. DH was happy. DH had the shrimp quesadillas and they were outstanding. Thick, perfectly cooked shrimp inside and perfectly browned tortilla on the outside. I was going to taste it, but I was too full from my 3 enchilada platter(1 shrimp, 1 chicken, 1 beef, beans and rice). The shrimp enchilada was wonderful with a creamy sauce filled with chunks of perfectly cooked mushroom. I kind of ignored the other 2 enchiladas because I was so enamored of the shrimp. We left full and happy and the wait staff really went out of their way to make our visit pleasant. Kind of expensive($ 50.00 with lunch, iced tea and tip — and then valet tip), but we’ll be back when we start craving the shrimp dishes.

This visit was great as usual. Out server Max was perfect in keeping us entertained and topped off on our drinks. I had the brisket tacos which is amazing with the salsa that is provided on the side. Max made sure we were taken care of and we definitely will be visiting again.

Usually I have Gloria’s for happy hour and dinner, but others wanted to meet there for Sunday brunch. I decided to try it out. The end result? I’m glad to know to never suggest it for brunch. Pro: if you order a brunch entrée, mimosas are $ 1. Poinsettias and pomegranate or mango mimosas are $ 2. Con: The food is overpriced and doesn’t make up for the drinks. I had the Campesino omelet. It was bland and wasn’t served hot, like our food was left out and forgotten. Also wasn’t a fan that the kitchen staff came out with our plates and said they didn’t know who’s omelet was whose. We all looked at him because… well…we didn’t make them. Stick with their HH. Much better brunches to be had.

I had a great meal here. We had a group of 9, 3 of those we’re children under 5 years old. I was surprised for a more…“upscale” looking place that they were so child friendly. I had the fish tacos. They were grilled and deliciously seasoned. They came with cabbage, a FAT slice of avocado, a fresh slice of jalapeño & a lightly spiced ranch sauce. These tacos were $ 14.99. I must say I think they’re slightlyyyyy over priced but they were very filling. This seems like a great date location but our gaggle of kids really enjoyed the covered patio.
