OMG how have I not discovered this place before. Stumbled upon this place through Unilocal after eating at Fuel City tacos nearby(also delicious). Very low key and unassuming place with GREATCHEAP fresh fruit and juices. Got fresh squeezed orange juice for 2.50 for a «small”(still big for me). Can’t beat the value, I don’t need a fancy orange juice from Whole Foods when I can have this instead

I apparently came for the wrong reasons. My wife really wanted a paleta and it looked from other reviews like this was the place to go for fresh fruit anything. We drove over and i love the place being a market. you can get any combination of fruit platters and aguas you want and the prices were reasonable. The paletas are prepackaged and the same ones i can get in any Miami store… much disappoint… They already make the aguas why not freeze some for fresh paletas!!! So my wife got a fruit bowl and she put spices on it which she liked i found kinda gross, but to each their own. There is also only one table with four seats so dont really expect to bring a group to eat in place its more of a grab and go place.

I was overcharged $ 2 for a mangonada and a mango on a stick. They charged me $ 10.50 for items that should’ve costed me $ 8.50. I didn’t check the change cause i was in a hurry but when I go to it later on, I found that i was overcharged. Also, I had to wait too long for someone to take my order even though there was only one customer in front of me.

They are not handicapped access and say they do not have to be I think that is a little sorry

This place is really good! They have good Aguas and mangonadas. I’ve been to several places that claim to be authentic, but they always taste off. This place is definitely the most authentic Mexican snack place I’ve been to in the Dallas area.

This is a cute, hole in the wall spot located in the middle of East Dallas. I’m not usually in this area for anything in particular but I definitely take the drive there for this fruiteria! The prices are very good and the selection is even better. I usually get the fresas con crema, which is a huge portion for about $ 5. I don’t have a lot of experience getting other fruits but it usually looks pretty fresh! It’s a nice place to go somewhere and pick up a snack on a slow afternoon.

This fruteria is bigger but not better than the one on coit rd. The one on coit is a lot cheaper and have the same amount of choices. This location is bigger but cost more. I was told if you get one fruit its $ 5.50 but for 3 fruits its $ 3.50. That is if you get it plain but with yogurt or creama its $ 5.50. I picked mango, strawberry and watermelon with peach yogurt. Plus horchata for $ 1.00… the fruits were good but the horchata I’ve had better.

My girlfriend, who is mexican, turned me on to this place. We entered this establishment in search of Mangonada. I had no idea what was in store. Fruiteria Cano, is a small East Dallas store catering to the Dallas hispanic community serving fruits, ice cream and yogurt. I found the environment friendly and great costumer service. The mangonada was different but not in a bad way. I will be back soon enough.

fresas con crema are by far best i have had EVER!!! elotes on the other hand is watered down and instead of using natural cheese it comes with kraft parmesean cheese… not the best elote. so if you go craving elote i suggest you go elsewhere… best elote spot in east dallas is the elote stand outside pf the malones on colombia and fitzugh !!

I have had only mango on a stick with chili and paletas. They’re all highly recommended! I was unfamiliar being in for the first time. I ordered what I saw on Unilocal and that was mango on a stick with chili. I also got paletas to go! Paletas are Mexican popsicles. Packed with flavor! I grabbed three in mango chili, tamarind chili, and coconut. The mango chili taste just like mango on a stick with chili. It was the best one out of all three. I love coconut but I didn’t like the coconut Paletas here. It wasn’t coconut enough and wasn’t sweet enough. Paletas have pieces of fruit in them so don’t be surprise when you take a bite and fruits are bursting in your mouth. It’s a nice surprise! I do recommend any fruit con chili and paletas!

I love Fruteria Cano, they have several locations and every single location does such a great job with quality control and consistency. They have awesome fresas con crema(strawberries and cream) and drinks that are refreshing and tasty. My favorite drink to get at Fruteria Cano is their Rusa, I personally think they have the best Rusa’s around town from all the different ones I have tried. Their locations tend to be a little crowded and only have a few tables to sit, but every item I have tried here has been delicious!

At the intersection of Beacon and Lindsley in scruffy east Dallas, it’s easy to feel like you’re in Mexico, two taquerias and this fruteria flank 3 of its corners. Look for a cute neon sign in a rainbow of bubblegum colors and the tree stump bench outside, and walk into healthy dessert heaven — mango or jicama on a stick, fruit cups with an array of fresh choices of coconut, cucumber, cantaloupe, apple, and pineapple, to name a few, and topped with honey, chile, cream, or with candy, marshmallows or nuts, if your feeling sinful. They can make juices and there is a small selection of blue bell ice cream too. It’s also a fruit stand with watermelons, oranges and other produce and pinatas festively hang from the ceiling. I grabbed a fabulous looking mango stick with chile $ 3.50, but took immediate gratification with a chocolate covered strawberry, $ 2. Right off the Santa Fe trail, so get it to go and enjoy mid bike ride to White Rock Lake. This place has been in operation for 15 years and hopefully it’s here to stay.
