It was OK, I found the best time to go is Friday dinner time. The food moves faster, much fresher. They only have snow crab legs on Friday night. It is typical Chinese buffet. They do have sushi and Mongolian grill. Dinner has much larger selection.

If you just have to go to a Chinese buffet, this is one of the better ones in the Metroplex.

Cost $ 10.49 the service was friendly never stacked up my plates, the honey chicken was the only eat that I actually thought was worth the handshake with the amount of msg that plagues these places, the vegetables were excellent and the sushi even surprised me and I’m hoping the battle scars on the roof of my mouth heal from eating the crab rangoons all in all it was worth the money if you can find 4 plates full and it was easy go try it

Ever since the closing of the beloved Szechuan Pavilion, my husband and I have been on the hunt for a decent Chinese buffet. SP spoiled us– it was reliably tasty, clean, well stocked and run by a great family who kept up the quality and ambience. As we’ve learned, these elements aren’t easy to find in a Chinese buffet… So we decided to give Flaming Buffet a try, though we’d been somewhat turned off by the bright exterior each time we drove by on the way to Franki’s Italian around the corner. We should have taken it as a sign– the interior is so bright, the place could moonlight as a surgical theater. Neon surrounds the dining area, fluorescent lamps hover, and chrome is abundant. The food isn’t bad, I grant you– but you’d do well to feel enthusiastic about your choices, as you’ll be peering at them with microscopic clarity. It’s that damned bright. The other thing: Kids. LOTSOFKIDS. I don’t mind kids, and I understand why folks bring them to these places, but there were so many of them that I couldn’t hear adult voices. A sort of swarm of tiny humans, vocalizing and running about, bumping into adults, and each other, as though in a living pinball machine. It was odd, and had an air of flirting with Lord of the Flies territory. I can’t imagine what Tuesday is like– the place strongly advertises that on this day of the week, Kids Eat Free. Shudder. In all, if you like your dining excruciatingly well lit and piled high with children, give Flaming Buffet a go. For now, I’ll stick with my fond, hungry memories of a better time and place…

My wife’s favorite Chinese buffet in town! We first stumbled upon this place after seeing it on Unilocal, and decided to stop in for a dinner. The place was packed when we walked in, a good sign! Let’s talk food: it can be divided into 3 main areas. Mongolian, sushi, and Chinese food. The selection is above average, also serve fresh oysters on dinner. I really liked their Mongolian grill, something about their sauces that kept me coming back for more, lol! To sum it up: Food 4 out of 5 Atmosphere 4 out of 5 Service 4 out of 5 Price 4 out of 5

We’ve been in texas for about 6 months now and going to a chinese buffet isnt an every other weekend event since it’s not the healthiest. So when we first moved here we tried a chinese buffet that was closer to us(Lin’s) and a couple months later, we tried New New. Even though New New was better than Lin’s, it still wasn’t what we were used to. Then we came across Flaming and it was awsome! We came in around 7:45pm(on a Sunday) and the food was fresh and not overcooked as if it had been sitting there all day. The service was friendly and we never had to go play hide and seek just to get more to drink. And the price… cheap!!! So would we go again? Definitely!

Oh, man, this place is pretty good! They have a good size selection that was refreshed regularly, and it was all pretty tasty. And $ 7.99 for lunch on a Saturday isn’t too bad. They have lots of seating, so even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel crowded. Service was good, too!

This Chinese buffet left me very unsatisfied. Me and my boyfriend stopped by there because we were craving Alaskan crab legs. The atmosphere could be a big miss. They did not have any music in background!!. Some people might like it quiet but it was way too quiet for us! It was really a little stressful when we were there, plus loud kids running around with ignorant parents. Well, it wasn’t a big deal. Their food was just meh and NOFLAVOR!!! We didn’t have a high expectation at all, but come on I have had it way better. Alaskan crab legs were too plain, and COLD! If you come here for sushi, don’t! Sushi line was disappointing. Restrooms are awful I’m telling you. I was so scared if I could have gotten any food poisoning. Staffs were nice. Price was reasonable $ 11.99 on Fridays with Alaskan crab legs, but sorry I will not ever ever be back again.

Flaming Buffet in dallas is not what I expected til I tried yhe sushi. I’ve never had good sushi at a buffet until I tried Flaming Buffet. The inside is very nice with ceyatal chandeliers. The waiter was extremely attentive and nice. I was also surprised they had oyster on the half shell, way to go.

This is crazy, but outside of Vegas, I’d never heard of a buffet that offered half-shell oysters… until this weekend. And I didn’t get sick!(Made for a smoother drive home.) Flaming Buffet offers mostly Chinese food but also includes sushi, cooked-to-order noodle plates from the grill, and the standard assortment of buffet seafood and desserts. It’s a large space and will seat families given enough time to prep tables. For the oysters and space alone, I’m bumping my rating from three to four stars(would have been 3.5, but oh well). There’s some good meals to be had here!

The place is clean and well kept. However, yes there is one, the food doesn’t have any flavor. The thing about Chinese buffets is that they typically have strong flavors. Meaning, the sesame chicken tastes like sesame chicken and the beef tastes like chicken. Lol. All flavors were bland. Not much of a selection but your typical orange and sesame chicken, some beef. I gave it three stars cause it’s reasonable and it’s clean. But be your own judge!

This is a really nice and clean looking Chinese place that you might not expect as you enter. But, it is big, clean and is organized in a sensible way; the buffet tables lay in the middle and different sections of nice looking seating area are arranged around it. The food looked fresh and had good amount of items. I was expecting a regualr low price Saturday, but today being special day; they had special for whole day at 10.50. So, I took a look and found only one veg items on the menu, so didn’t really indulge in the food. Nonetheless, I got the sense that this place is maintained and food looked alright, may be will try next time.

This is a typical Dallas Chinese buffet, in that there’s a good mix of other cuisines mixed in. Slice of pepperoni pizza? They got it. After all, the place was a pizza joint in its previous incarnation. The food is good, and they keep it well stocked. I have to take away a star for their hibachi grill. It’s poorly designed. I’ve seen guys work a round, island hibachi with the same amount of surface area, and they can handle 6 orders at once. This can barely handle 2, partially because it’s also doing double-duty, grilling boneless chicken breasts, and because it’s a rather shallow rectangle, with the chef only have access to one side. And for some reason, when I take my food back to my table, after about 5 minutes it looks like I’m eating stew. All the liquid from the meat(I guess) has drained onto the plate. I’ve never seen anything like that elsewhere, but it happens every time here. It’s so off-putting that I just skip the hibachi now. That’s okay, since they have such a good selections of other items. Another plus — they carry their weekday prices over to Saturday as well. A lot of buffets don’t. However, if you pay for the lunch, apparently you only get to eat the«lunch» food. I was having a late lunch there one day, and as I was leaving, I noticed they had started putting out the dinner-only items, and they had little«dinner only» signs in front of those food items. I don’t know what happens if a lunch patron takes some of the dinner food. Do you get sent to buffet jail?

I’m not really a fan of buffets in general, but my father and I realized we wanted Chinese at 9:30 at night. Man this place is HUGE! The food and everything is just so clean. There’s a lot of variety. And they’re open later! I will most likely return :)

Don’t judge a place by the way it looks. I was surprised. Inside is big and the staff is a little slow. So I had to take a star off for that. As for the food. Poor sushi guy was having a hard time to keep up with the demand but he did his best. Chinese food not oily like other buffets. And there was a good selection of dishes. The hibachi was fresh and looked good. The night we were there there was a line to. Get a table.

The food is tasty, and fresh; they have sushi, and a HABACHIGRILL!!! Their prices are unbeatable! Always clean, staff is constantly cleaning and replenishing… Service has always been friendly,(been here about 8 times) never had a problem. This is a buffet, so don’t expect the food to be Wolfgang Puck — Five Sixty. You’ll always have your critics who are NEVER satisfied, these are probably the ones who gave this place less then 3 stars. Make a trip out to judge for yourself… You’ll be happy you did.

As buffets go, they are a dime a dozen in most cities. However, what sets Flaming Buffet apart from the rest is the freshness and variety of the food. It’s a spacious location(used to be a GattiTown) so there is plenty of seating available. They group the food categories together which is great for those of us who may be at risk for cross contamination from food allergies(me). They also have a Mongolian grill so you can get your Genghis Grill fix in one stop. I recommend this spot and bring your family. You won’t be disappointed.
