Fellowship Church

I think people should know what kind of reckless message the leaders of Fellowship Church are preaching. I have never walked out of a service before much less walked out only to meet a number of people in the parking lot that walked out for the same uncomfortable reasons. I am all for everyone having their opinion about same sex marriage and abortions but when the first 20 minutes of your service starts with how horrible our world is and how we are lost as human beings because of adultery, same sex marriage and abortion one starts to wonder if you came to hear a message from God or if you stepped into a political rally. This church claims to be nondenominational and welcoming for people from all walks of life no matter what their story but that was not the message sent. Even when talking to the church volunteers you are told «well at the end of the day we do still preach from the bible,» pardon me but I don’t recall reading the part of the bible that teaches hate and judgement I read the part about love, patience and understanding. It’s even more disheartening when never once do you mention any scriptures only opinions. I am very disappointed with Fellowship and after reading many reviews about how the churches money funds a lavish lifestyle of the board and to later find out the the person giving this judge mental message sits on that same board, I have to be honest in saying I’m not interested in being apart of that circus. Shame on you Pastor Ross and even bigger shame on you Fellowship. #wewillbeinformed

If you go to church to be entertained and have a brisk service then this is the church for you. You would probably enjoy it because it starts and finishes almost as loud as a concert or dance club. The pastor is comfortable with marketing his books before or after and sometimes even during his presentation. I’m not sure it’s a «sermon» because I’m not sure it’s a «church». Pastor Ed Young put his Campuses all over the metroplex, mostly choosing affluent areas. You really don’t need to bring your Bible with you because it doesn’t get referenced very much. I’m giving it 4 stars because I am a Christian and it is a house of worship. I’m pretty sure.

I wasn’t going to write a review on my experience here, but Fellowship came up in my feed and I felt like I should offer my experience. Great congregation of people at this location, The campus Pastors were also cool and the volunteers are the stars in my opinion. Praise and worship was insanely loud, I literally could not handle it and I don’t mind loud music, but if I can’t hear myself think no good. If you wanted to join along you’d have to wait until the solo performance had finished up and honestly Crowd participation was very little because everything is so fast. I’m all for great energy and talent and these guys do not lack in either department they are truly gifted, but I know what Im talking about and the building is not set up for the level they are blasting. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t me so I laid low before I emailed the church and yes your members think it’s loud. Loud music won’t drive me away, but I’d say the Pastors big EGO was the problem. Strike one was when he told the congregation God won’t bless you unless you give an offering… I’m all for tithing, but ED you need to rethink your approach on that one buddy. Strike two was when he did a sermon on being selfish and at the end of the sermon he pointed out «if you think the music is to loud your selfish» I emailed the church a really nice email making a suggestion and apparently Mr. My pants are so tight my head looks big took it wrong.
It’s real easy for a guy who’s never know financial bad times to point fingers… Yo Ed next time you board your private plane to fish in Miami maybe pray about your approach for raising an offering /​humbleness/​listening /​finding clothes that fit. When I first attended the church I emailed all my info and never received correspondence back and I did this a few times. In my experience this seemed to be a very one sided church.

Love the energy at this location. I’ve been to Calvary in Irving and watermark in north dallas. Both church’s were just as great but I like that this one is much closer to where I stay. You are greeted walking in. And graced on your way out. Very organized group that performed church songs with an upbeat vibe. I think I found myself a new home

I love my church! I feel welcome everytime I pull in the parking lot. Casual, laid back atmosphere, everyone shows genuine smiles when they say hi.

As a young single professional, I was looking for somewhere welcoming but wouldn’t single or call you out when you walk in the door. Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is so uplifting. You can be as involved as you choose to be as they offer several different outlets to meet people and get connected if that’s what you’re looking for.
The pastor, Ed Young, is so animated and charismatic and I’ve never enjoyed sermons more. The worship is fantastic and I am always amazed at the creativity and originality of the music. They use audio/​visual media, social networking and technology to reach worshipers, which I thought I would find over-​the-​top, but I very much enjoy it and feel like it only adds to my experience there.
There are all ages here and I can’t stress enough the friendliness. Whether you are looking for a new church home to get involved in or you just want to hear a good service on Sunday, I recommend Fellowship Church.

I’ve been looking for a different type of spiritual experience that would speak to me and I believe I have found it. The Word is delivered in a contemporary and very real way without the message being sucked out of it. What pleases me the most is the culturally diverse congregation!
In today’s world where people seem to be have a robot-​like response to worship, I like how this church and the members go out of their way to make newcomers feel welcome and to spread the word of God without it being an in-​your-​face experience. I’ve been twice and I’m excited about a third trip.
Traditionalists may criticize some of the extras at the church like a coffee shop, book shop and the social media presence; but Ed Young has his finger on the pulse of the contemporary public. I don’t knock him and his team for going the extra mile to deliver important messages to people who want to hear them delivered in a different way.

Make this place your home.
I have never felt more welcomed in a house of God before. I have already have made so many friends and I am glad to be involved in the church. If you are looking for a church or need somewhere to be Sunday morning. Make this your place. I promised you will be welcomed.

I always enjoy showing up on Sunday mornings… I feel so welcome and stuff! I have been working with some of the pastor’s from the church on different projects and have just really grown to love this place over the course of the past few months! I’ll be back next Sunday, every Sunday.

A friend said it best, «I’m not one for organized religion but this is different.» I cannot lie, I struggled with what I believed in for a long time and had a hard time figuring it out and definitley wasn’t comfortable trying to do that in public by attending a church.
The service started off singing mainstream music («We Were Young» by Fun.) and had a message to not live a «cubby-​hole» existance where everything is siloed and kept separate from each other. The pastor was pretty charismatic appealing to a younger crowd, I laughed and agreed with the message over and over again. I mean, a church that uses humor?! That’s not the majority and you know it.
I think my favorite part is when the pastor said that religion is both destructive and constructive, and that God doesn’t destroy anything that He doesn’t want to make better. It has taken me years to see this, the positive that came from the destruction.
I love that they seem to promote that mainstream is okay, it seemed far less stuffy and controlling that any organized religion that I’ve experienced. I like to think of it as motivational speaking and really recommend trying it out. Everyone there was also so friendly.

Finding the perfect church that speaks to you is extremely important and Fellowship Church has found a creative and forward thinking method to minister to both young and old.
This is not your grandfather’s Southern Baptist old fashion revival… this is a true 21^st century, cutting edge non-​denominational church, not afraid to use audio/​visual media, social networking and technology to reach worshipers.
Now you certainly can have all the technology in the world but still not have a message. This is where Fellowship is truly blessed to have Pastor Ed Young who not only knows how to craft and deliver the perfect message, but does it in a way that is meaningful and relevant to today’s world.
The church itself is a branch of the mega-​church located in Grapevine Texas and has local pastors and staff starting things off. The main message is then beamed in (via satellite??) and shown on three huge high definition screens.
Performances by the in house band are inspiring and rival any performance by bands in today’s top 40. It is powerful, moving and helps to bring a youthful feeling to the church.
The crowd at the downtown location is a mix of young and old, but is mostly comprised of 20 – 40 y.o. uptown/​downtown dwellers. Everyone is always dressed well… ladies are wearing their uptown best, and guys dress to impress… but not too over the top. This is church not a club.
If you’ve not found a church or your soul is looking for something better, I recommend checking this place out. At worst, its an hour you spend in a beautiful air conditioned environment with plenty of live music and positive thoughts.

This is a great church. It’s not intimidating and is super friendly. The daycare is great. I feel totally comfortable leaving the kids. Ed Young makes the sermon very interesting. My family actually looks forward to going to church every Sunday. It’s a good feeling.

Ed Young starts a new series called At the Movies, starting July 4^th Weekend. This is the 3^rd year he has done this particular series and it is both entertaining and thought provoking. I am so psyched about this because you get to see a fresh take on movies, as well as here a great message and combine that with popcorn! Whoever thought the Lord’s house could be this special and fun??? Maybe see some of ya’ll there :)
