Rachel can do a do! She is a sculptor with scissors. I get an uneven bob and it looks great. Love the colors too. To top it all off she’s sweet, pretty & fun. Evolution is not for snooty people. It’s just a cool place for anyone to get great hair.

Of course this is my favorite salon basically because my hair dresser and my eyelash girl is under the same roof. Other than that I really don’t care to go into this old house that was turned into a salon. It’s really unkempt and even though they just change out the brick it still doesn’t look appealing.

I found myself in Dallas at the same time my Austin hair guru found himself in Italy for 3 months. After reading about Evolution Salon on Unilocal,I booked an appointment with Summer. I wanted artist/​edgy — she listened, she got it, she rocked it. Loved the results, and I’ll be driving back to Dallas for my next cut.

Debbie is fantastic! She’s fun and friendly and will do whatever you ask of her. She also will push the envelope and show you new ways to do your hair that you never thought of before. I enjoy going to this salon! I’ve never done color there, but I’m saving up to do that! :)

evolution salon is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place, not the usual loud, screaming-​over-​the-​hairdriers-​and-​loud-​music type of salon at all. if you like a mental and visual break along with a great service, this is your place. i recommend summer petrea for any cut, color, or special occasion hair, she is friendly and very talented!

I had the same hair stylist in Birmingham for 7 years so I was definitely nervous about trying out a new one in Dallas. I stumbled upon Evolution after some research and set up an appointment with Taylor. She is great. Listened to exactly what I wanted, natural highlights and some simple layering. I would definitely recommend this place. Very relaxing and doesn’t feel like your typical uptight salon.

This is actually John’s wife. I have had Van Nguyen as my hair stylist for a couple of years and I love her. She has been at Evolution for a few months and at first I was surprised because the building was an apt building but it is really nice inside and makes you feel at home because of the closeness and independences they have there that other big salons are missing out on. I have always liked Van because I was upfront with her about wanting a hair cut that I can just wash and let air dry and go so she cuts it so it won’t be frizzy and is really sweet and funny.

I agree with the first reviwer, Aimee is a great stylist who actually takes the time to explain what she’s doing, how to style it, etc. I have been bouncing around from salon to salon trying to find someone I like for the last year, and I think I’ve found her at Evolution!
