Elotes are delicious. If you’ve never had it before, this place is THE place to go in Dallas. Inside the cup is corn, parmesan cheese, mayo, spicy sauce, chili powder, salt, sour cream, lemon pepper, & butter. This is a crazy delicious combination of food straight from the cob. The medium I know is $ 2.50, the small is $ 1.25, and large is $ 5? It’s exact price and definitely the place to go.

Elotes La Esperanza is the food cart in front of Fuel City Tacos. You see the two ladies nonchalantly scoop corn and other mixings to create something like a lasagna or casserole of corn, cheese, and hot sauce goodness. You just need to know that the Elotes go very well with anything at Fuel City.

Wow. Just wow. Corn may just be your favorite vegetable after this experience. The corn in a cup is layered like a lasagna and features steamed corn, actually hot and addicting hot sauce, sour cream, liquid butter, a mixture of mexican cheeses; and it repeats again. Two layers of this corn, cream, cheese, butter, and hot sauce goodness. It is finally topped with more mexican cheese blend, sour cream, and hot sauce. You get the strong savory and creamy taste of the butter, the heat and addicting spice of the hot sauce, the calm corn flavor, and finally finishing with the creamy, soothing sour cream and cheese blend. Each bite bombards you with sweet, salty, savory, tangy, and spicy flavor. If I had to eat only 1 vegetable for the rest of my life, THIS IS IT. Eat it hot or cold, it still tastes great. Be warned, the spiciness is just enough to coat your mouth and linger there with a nice kick. To spice connoisseurs, this is perfect. But for others, just be ready for the ride of your life!
