The other reviewers weren’t lying — the Easton staff is truly amazing. Angela and Shelley couldn’t be more lovely to work with in the office and the maintenance crew David and Greg are always friendly and hard working. It’s obvious that the staff enjoy their jobs and interacting with the residents — their high level of service makes living here truly enjoyable and stress free. Plus, the location is great. Highly recommend!

I have lived here 7 months and have been very impressed by the staff. The office and maintenance staff have taken care of any issues and are always friendly. The location is convenient to downtown and restaurants and is being developed more(will be interesting to see what will take the place of Bonham Elementary next door if they are forced to close by DISD). I have enjoyed living here and the almost perpetual waitlist is proof I’m not the only one.

I’ve never had a nicer apartment or a nicer apartment staff than I did in my last year at the Easton. We had to move out because leaving roomates made the price too high for us. The Easton is lovely aesthetically. There’s a parking garage, there’s a beautiful pool(which is generally populated in the summer by young party people), a workout room with tvs, a beautiful little gardeny area with a grill on both sides of the complex, and the apartments themselves have up to date beautiful fridges and islands and tile. Really, though, what makes Easton a stand-out is the staff. They knew our names immediately. The maintenance guys were always there quickly and were so friendly, and one of them even came in on his day off to help with with something that really technically wasn’t an emergency. Several times I’d be exiting the complex for work in the morning and find the apartment staff handing out breakfast goodies to all the cars. They throw apartment parties with giveaways(once we got $ 200 off of our rent for the month). The location rocks too. It’s in the middle of the Knox-Henderson action and right across from a little park. I loved living here. Seriously. Loved it.

I lived at Easton for a year(from summer ’07 to summer ’08) and had an overwhelmingly positive experience, especially compared to previous apartments I had lived in. I had originally come across it by accident when I was trying to find a different apartment complex to look at. I walked in, asked about their options, saw a model, and filled out my application that day. The best thing about it was the location. It’s just a few blocks east of 75, and it’s within walking distance of The Old Monk, Vickery Park, Cuba Libre, and other bars and restaurants on Henderson near 75. To the east side on Henderson, Capitol Pub is about a block away, and more new businesses have opened recently down that stretch. It was always fantastic not having to worry about driving to go out, and there were enough options that it didn’t get too boring. It was also two miles from my work, which didn’t hurt. One of the only negatives about the place is if you go a few blocks away, you can start to get into some shady areas, but I never felt unsafe in the complex itself. I wouldn’t walk very far by myself at night. There were multiple break-ins in the garage while I was living there, but I think that’s part of city living. As far as the apartment itself, I lived in a third-floor unit facing inside towards the pool, and this is what really sold me on the place originally. The courtyard is beautiful, and I had a great view of it(there is also another half of the complex that has a courtyard without a pool). The complex was built in 2004, and everything in the unit felt new and modern. I especially loved the ceramic tile floors, the kitchen island, and the huge counter in the bathroom. Service requests were responded to promptly. The bulbs in the track lighting and pendant lights in my kitchen went out quite frequently for some mysterious reason, but maintenance always replaced them for me. I chose Easton because I was looking for a little bit of a step up from something like The Village, where I had also looked during this search. You’ll pay a little bit more, but you’re paying for the location, the newness, and the quality, and for me, it was definitely worth it. I left because I was moving to Austin, but if I had been staying in Dallas, I definitely would have renewed my lease.
