Family friendly, animal friendly… MC’ed by a hilarious guy wearing the brightest blazer possible and the most Easteriffic pants in existence… why not go? Its half comedy show, half animal costume /adoption show, half costume contest, half… too many halves. It really is really nice to see such a liberal event in what might be considered a generally conservative area of the country… the costumes had a lot of thought put into them and the dogs really seemed not to mind the crazy getups they had on… suffice it to say they loved being in the spotlight. Come early, grab some curb, and stay for the whole thing. There are a lot of great booths for all things animal, including an entire portion of the show highlighting rescue animals that could be adopted. It was hard to resist bringing one of those little ones home with me… As a dog lover and a general enthusiast of parade-type anythinging, i’m a huge fan. Rain or shine, when i’m in Dallas for Easter I plan my day around this.

well still not up to the ‘old days’ but still very busy very fun. The war with the Turtle Creek Association needs to stop. The event is fun filled, a great time for all the animal rescue groups to mingle and is more family friendly than the mall a the holidays! Weather turned out great. My dogs had a grand time as did I

Every Easter Lee Park get filled up with blankets, picnics, pets, and gay guys. Costume contest and parade. Dallas Symphony plays, but due to the season it often gets rained out. The park is full of a Texas brand of care free spirit, niavity and hope. If you havn’t been to this go. It’s packed, light hearted fun on Easter day.
