What a surprise! My phone was dead and I’m not used to making decisions without Unilocal so I had to decide which place I wanted to have lunch at all on my own. Glad I chose this place… My spidey senses did not steer me wrong! I love this place! We ordered the Turkey Pesto and Turkey Bacon Avocado, Both were excellent! Will be returning soon! Almost forgot! Customer service was great too! Thanks!

Chic, elegant sandwich place in Snider Plaza, home of one of the 10 best sandwiches in Dallas according to Zagat and the Dallas Observer. We stopped by for lunch today and it was crowded but not crazy crushed. We had to wait a few moments for a table to open up, but we didn’t mind. We got the Beef Short Rib and Cheese(the seasonal sandwich) and the Chicken Parmesan. Both sandwiches were served with perfectly fried, greaseless, house-made potato chips. The Beef sandwich was delicious, filled with tender slow-braised beef, melted cheese, caramelised onions, a mild horseradish sauce and tender salad greens. Bread was crisped on the grill and not greasy at all. YUM! And of course(wait for it): Chicken Parm you taste so good! Tender pounded chicken breast fillets again perfectly breaded and fried, served on fresh brioche-style buns with fresh basil leaves and provolone cheese. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries to share, and thought he portion was rather small for it’s $ 4.95 price. Nevertheless, the strings of sweet potatoes were again perfect and greaseless, tossed in a delicious house spice blend warm with cinnamon. There is a second outpost of this concept at Stonebriar Centre mall in Frisco, but we like the cozy feel of this neighborhood place. We’ll be back! :)

My has been and I had a great lunch here today! The shrimp and corn chowder was fantastic, as was the Cuban… The pickle, the pork, the mojo sauce all just came together fantastically. I also had a salad which unfortunately was a bit overdressed — shame on me for not asking for the dressing on the side– and they also forgot the tomato, but I was so far into the salad by the time I realized we decided not to complain. Just can’t get enough of their fresh, flavorful options.

The Fried Chicken & Jack is amazingly flavorful and enough food to satisfy any level of hunger. Homemade chips that are cooked perfectly without any need for salt. Be prepared to jockey for a table at higher traffic times. Well worth waiting for your order amidst the crowd!

I really like this place. Its always crowded so that can some times be challenging, but people are relatively friendly and the food is really great. We get to go food from here about once a week. The fried chicken salad is really great with the champagne vinaigrette on spring mix. The lettuce is cold and crisp(good blend) and the chicken is fresh and hot. They put jack cheese pieces on it and bring it together so nicely! My son loves the homemade chips as well. Very good food at a fair price. We have never been disappointed.

I showed up here with what I thought was a relatively full stomach… so I opted for the clam chowder. It was a hearty soup, creamy, and nice chew on the clams without being overcooked. Then I got hungry… and ordered the lobster roll. While its the most expensive sandwhich on the menu, you get a pretty generous amount of lobster. The meat is sweet, and buttery with a great ratio to bread and served along side crisp house fried potato chips.

OMG I am unabashedly pumped about this chain restaurant and the fact that a new one is about to open in the Knox area. This is pretty much the only place I’ll actually enjoy eating a sandwich. The architecture is modeled after a typical«Hampton’s» Cottage but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it charming. It’s just a high-quality, more expensive, and addictively good sandwich shop.

I don’t know how any of these reviews have less than four stars. These people could literally slap me in the face and I’d still be satisfied with my experience. The fried chicken and jack was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had… And I am a sandwich freak. The chicken was cooked perfectly, tender and crispy, and was not greasy or sloppy at all. My friends got the turkey and pesto, and the goat cheese and avocado. Both were good, but the goat cheese won. We also all tried the clam chowder and damn. It’s legit. The prices are completely reasonable for what you’re getting. Go here now.

Mm my favorite lunch spot! The chicken and jack is my go to… It’s huge, so I get it with fruit rather than chips. Literally can be split between two people and you’ll be full. I think you can make any sandwich into a salad which is awesome! I’ve also had the caesar salad and it’s really good! The prices aren’t too bad and the service is good. Next on my list to try is the lobster roll :)

The other week when I was in Dallas on business, I decided to visit East Hampton based on an article I read, «The 12 Best Fried Chicken Sandwiches in America» by the Food Network via Unilocal.I had some time to kill and I was hungry, so I figured why not. First off, the restaurant lives up to its’ name, décor wise. The interior of the restaurant actually reminded me a bit of a kitchen /living room area for a summer home in the Hamptons(i.e. New York). I thought that was pretty cool. The restaurant did have a peaceful kind of feeling to it. I stopped in around 5PM and there may have been a dozen patrons in the restaurant at most. Ordering was easy and my food came out right away. I ordered the Fried Chicken and Jack Sandwich. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. The best way I can describe this would be like reading a movie review where the critic raves about a movie, so you go see it with HUGE expectations and then you walk out after its’ over and you’re thinking, «This movie wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as good as what I was expecting.» So, basically I went to this place thinking this sandwich was going to be a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 and I thought it was more like a 7. Still pretty good, but in East Hampton’s defense; my expectations were probably too high. I also ordered the sweet potato fries to go along with the sandwich. The portion was kind of small, but I figure they did my waistline a favor. The fries weren’t bad. Not great, not bad. I’d say a 6 out of 10. Overall, I’d say if you’re in the area, you’re hungry, you want to check out a restaurant that doesn’t seem like it belongs in Dallas, but would be right at home in a beach town in the New York/New England area; it’s worth stopping by.

This is definitely a must when you are just craving a delicious old fashioned sandwich and chips. Located in Snyder Plaza, East Hampton Sandwich Co is a lunch basic. They offer many tasty sandwiches ranging from your basic turkey bacon to a fantastic lobster roll. They offer a fast casual atmosphere with a clean industrial vibe. They also offer local beers and wine. Some of my favorites are the Sweet Chicken Parmesan sandwich and their Turkey Bacon Avocado. They are both so different but equally yummy depending on your mood. I have heard they have a fantastic lobster roll and I have always wanted to try their Goat Cheese + Avo. They offer fries and sweet potato fries for an up charge, but I would recommend just going with their homemade potato chips(which is what the sandwiches come with). They are so good and fresh! Everything here is fresh, clean, and high quality — you can’t go wrong with anything! Definitely one of my go to’s for a sandwich shop!

Yummiest«sammiches» I’ve had in DTown! {That is why I have to give them the rare 5}. My hubby & I tried this place on a whim. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and I was not cooking… I am so happy that I refused to cook. I ate the Balsamic tenderloin and my hubby had a hickory burger. My tenderloin sandwich had slices of perfectly seasoned, perfectly medium rare tender tenderloin topped off with crispy onion strings, bleu cheese, and balsamic glaze.(I also noted a touch of horseradish.) It also came with rosemary au jus which was so delicious that I accidentally dumped it all over myself :-) My hubby’s hickory bacon burger had onion strings, cheddar, bacon {ummmm…, bacon}, jalepenos, and bbq sauce. It was sloppy, fancy, and scrumptious at the same time. All sandwiches come with homemade, not at all greasy potato chips. Oh, we also got a Bloody mary which was peppery and stiff, and a bargain at $ 3. Seating is very limited, as this space is small, but the line moves quickly, and folks are very nice about the communal table set up. There is also some seating at the front bar, and a few individual tables. And yes, there will be a line. Apparently, other people knew about this great spot before me. Staff is very customer friendly. Heck, they didn’t even bat an eye when my cup of au jus dumped out on me and their nice floor. LOL!

East Hampton is fantastic. It’s so good that I’m not sure where to begin. Let’s start with some of the background… I don’t know the full history of East Hampton Sandwich Company, but I’ve been told this is the original location, which came from a business plan that some SMU students wrote. After graduating, apparently they decided to build right here. If you walk into the restaurant, you can tell very quickly that it is super successful. If you’re here for lunch, you will encounter a line to the door. You’ll probably have to wait a few minutes after you manage through the line(and finding a place to wait can be a drag), but friends – it’s totally worth the wait. A note on salad: My whole life, I’ve been a big fan of avoiding salads in favor of fried chicken, pizza, french fries, and McDonald’s cheeseburgers. As I decided to get more into shape(I know, I know… round is a shape), I realized that I’d have to eat something other than my usual go-to comfort foods, and started reluctantly eating salad. Up until the East Hampton Sandwich Company, I always struggled when eating salad. Then, on my wife’s suggestion, I tried the salads here. Friends, if you are the salad un-faithful types, and you loathe it… try this place. It completely changed my view on salads in general. Many of the East Hampton Sandwich Company(hereafter EHSC) sandwiches are available as a full salad instead of a sandwich.(If you look at their menu, look for the little salad bowl icons! The sandwiches are also awesome as well… I don’t typically get them for favor of the healthier salad options. But they won’t disappoint. In conclusion, East Hampton is awesome. It’s a little pricier than some other carry out options, but delicious AND healthy. Which isn’t the easiest combination to stumble upon…

I walk in and immediately there is no line, so my sister and I order two lobster rolls with chips, yay! I grabbed myself a few lemons, pepper and salt, because I typically eat seafood with that. I tasted the lobster roll first without the seasonings and it was a bit underseasoned, so I added juice from two lemons a bit of salt and a good amount of pepper. The ratio of the meat to bread and veggies were perfect, but the roll was quite small for the price. The lobster tasted fresh and was delicious. The chips were nice and crisp, perfectly seasoned and yummy. The food I had was really good! I just wouldn’t go out of my way to pay for that price with such a small portion and something that wasn’t too special. Fresh yes, but I can say that about many restaurants that serve seafood or others that serve lobster rolls!

Finally got to come back here and try the lobster roll! It was light, refreshing and slightly buttery. delicous! The portion is a bit small but that is to be expected with these. There is a generous amount of lobster in the roll but a bit less than the other places I’ve been to, although for $ 16, I’m not going to complain. This time we got it with a side of sweet potatoes, which I enjoyed very much with this sandwich. We also got the chicken + jack and it is just as good as I remember last time. Ultra crispy chicken with avocado in a sandwich! Yumm, I loved that they used spring veggies and had a good amount of avocado. Lastly, we got the crab cake sandwich with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was awesome! I’m not sure what they put in it but it was extremely creamy, almost like it had cream cheese mixed in it or something. it also had these very crisp pieces of bacon in it. The crab cake sandwich was okay. The crab cake itself was pretty mediocre for me, tasted like it had some horseradish sauce on it but overall meh. Overall, the lobster roll was good but not outstanding enough to make me drive all the way here if I ever crave it. the chicken + jack is definitely worth getting with the potato salad so perhaps I’d come back for that!

So, I came here specifically for the lobster rolls that everyone on Unilocal has been boasting about. And, they did not disappoint whatsoever. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very professional but laid back :) I love when I can find little gems like this. Like Arnold would say, «I’ll be back».

Not much going on in FLAVOR town but maybe that’s their intention. I assume they want diners to enjoy the quality of the meat they provide? Meh. I’m not sure. But I would go back and get that $ 16.48 lobster roll – that’s about the size of a regular ballpark hotdog.

Never officially been here, but have officially ordered delivery. So, this will be a food only take, unbiased by the romance of eating out. While the delivery was smooth, EHSC double crossed me with their illustrious lobster roll. Level with me. When you think lobster roll, don’t you expect a nice abundance of lobster? Especially if you’re paying a lot of jack, ~$ 18 for a sandwich. I ended up scooping the lobster into one of the halves of the sandwich. Yes, the lobster filling was really good, but the initial bites had my mouth stuffed with bread. I pitched woo to it this one time, but I’m wiping my hands and calling it done for this sandwich! Even the Cuban didn’t live up to the other varieties provided around the area. It’s the same filling to bread ratio problem! I do appreciate the freshness of their greens though, but the proportions are all out of sorts. BUT, their donut bag is what you should be twerking for. I don’t even want to call them donut holes because they are almost like Leonard’s malasadas. If you got that lovin’ for Leonard’s, and you know it when you do, EHSC is where you should go to get your fix while in Dallas. They’re like a denser version, but still sugary sweet. Twerk for Hampton’s Donut Bag, not their Lobster Roll!

I visited East Hampton Sandwich Co with a girlfriend on a random Monday night, and it wasn’t packed, but there was definitely a lot of traffic in and out. I was not sure if I wanted to order the Turkey and Vegetable soup, so I asked the person who took my order if the soup was good to him, and he replied sarcastically that the answer is always yes, so my question was basically pointless. In other words, he was telling me that people will always lie and say it’s good, so don’t ask. I didn’t take his sarcasm too well. He also had a bit of an attitude telling me that they were out of their House Red when I asked for a glass. As far as customer service goes, they have a long way to go. I decided to order the Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado sandwich without the bacon. For my side, I ordered a side salad without the bacon, and once again, the man who took my order couldn’t have been more thrilled that I had customized my order. I guess they don’t like customization here. I’m not sure. My sandwich was good, but it wasn’t warm enough for me. There were also a few pieces of turkey that had an ample amount of fat on it. The side salad could have been wonderful had it not had so much vinaigrette dressing and parmesan on it. Overall, I liked the sandwich, but I didn’t love it enough to order it again. If I ever return, I’ll be sure to try something different.

First time at ESHC, I appreciated the atmosphere and décor. I love it when the restaurant feels clean, fresh, and airy and on a dreary Dallas day, this really brightened my mood! Even though I came in at 1:30pm on a friday afternoon, the line was still 10 people deep when I got in the door. No worries though, it gave me ample time to skim through Unilocal reviews, tips, and pictures — all to help me decide what to order when I got to the front. Everything looked so delicious, but I ended up going with the Meyer chicken sandwich with a side salad(sub side salad for chips) and a cup of corn chowder. I sat at the counter and waited only 5 min before my food came out — packed up and ready for takeout! Great service and speed. The Meyer chicken sandwich had a delicious red pepper aioli spread along with tender pieces of chicken atop a buttery roll. It was definitely a good size portion. The only thing I did not like was that my fingers were shiny from all the delicious butter — no pain no gain. I really liked the vinaigrette on the salad and appreciated the bacon bits as well as the fact that they did not upcharge me for the substitution. The corn chowder was very rich and creamy and I loved every bite! Would definitely return. This place screams lunch, but would be a fine choice for a casual dinner. It’s a bit pricey(sandwich + soup) at $ 15.00 but a solid dining choice.
