I love this place. It’s definitely the best choice at DFW. I’m so impressed that they have moved from styrofoam to Eco friendly containers. Thanks for thinking about the environment!

Straighr out of Memphis, a real BBQ lover, that’s me! This place was delicious, I had the chopped port sandwich with coleslaw and sweet and tangy bbq sauce. I also had the best blackberry cobbler you could ever ask for! Yum had to go back and get two more servings for the road!

Stopped by here during a layover. The food is average but does the job. Their Mac & cheese is nothing exceptional. The potato salad is good. Finally, the beef brisket with the sauce is cruelly decent. I wish they weren’t so stingy with the brisket serving though. Anyways like I said, it does the job.

It was either Pizza Hut or this. This won. The brisket sandwich was small but good enough for me since I was at this airport for a connecting flight and my next flight was over 3 hours. I also ordered Mac and cheese for a side but that was nothing to write home about.

It’s in Terminal C — near the lower gates(first stop on the train, not the second one)! Run fast! — you can take BBQ with you on your flight! If you’re like me, you live nowhere near Texas or its famous BBQ, and you’ll do anything, and I do mean anything, to get some if you’re anywhere near Texas — even the airport. So, I always make a point to have a long lunch layover if I’m going through Texas, specifically for this very reason. Dickey’s isn’t the most amazing brisket, sausage, or turkey you’ll eat. Nor are the mashed taters or other sides the best around. However, if you haven’t had true Texas BBQ in a while — I’d say you owe it to yourself to hustle over and get some! I’m drinking out of the Big Yellow Cup as I write this review now… in Florida. Cheers Y’all!

Brisket was tender but a little fatty. As other reviewers pointed out, they are skimpy with the bbq sauce and the employees look like they hate their jobs. No smiles or appreciation at all. Some guy in front of me had a coupon, and they turned him down with a shake of the head and explanation«I ain’t getting in trouble for doing this again.» Sides were salty and disappointing.

Excellent Texas Style BBQ and I should know, I’m Mr. Texas !!! Born, raised and lived in Texas for 48 years !!! Been in CA going on 6 years searching for the closest thing to Texas BBQ and naturally had to come to Dallas to find the«Real Deal» !!! I’ll be glad when I move back to my native soil in a few months !!! The staff was friendly with a healthy dose of southern hospitality and they didn’t skimp on the portions. The price was a little high but that’s expected, it’s an airport for cryin’ out loud. The eating area was clean. The downfall, you can’t get here or eat here without going through TSA Security with a boarding pass or being an employee at the airport. But, if you’re ever in Terminal C Gate 6, try it out, you won’t be disappointed. It’s Slap Yo Momma Good Texas Style BBQ !!! Y’all come back now ya hear !!!

My brisket sandwich was actually pretty enjoyable. I actually didn’t order a sandwich. I asked the server what she preferred the chicken or the brisket? She said brisket and proceeded to make me a sandwich. Having just finished a trip to Texas sans ONESINGLEBBQMEAL, I had to get something at the airport. The sandwich was decent, although very skimpy on the BBQ sauce :(I put copious amounts of that Louisiana sauce on it & it made up for it. The brisket was pretty good and not fatty at all. The mashed potatoes? Not great. Clearly had been sitting in that pan for a loooong time. I ate one bite of them and that was one too many. BLEH. My suggestion to Dickeys: make your buns better-it was minuscule. Revamp your sides. They looked TIRED. Potatoes were dryer than the Sahara. Ask for EXTRABBQ sauce to make the pretty tasty brisket better!

I think the prices went up, granted, it’s airport faire, but $ 13 for some brisket with potatoes? Give bigger portions, don’t cheap out. I’ve been going their for years, I’d give you 4 stars but your value proposition is gone.

I’ve been to many Dickey’s and always gotten EXCELLENT food… except for this one. The brisket was ok, but the spicy cheddar sausage tasted off for some reason, the mashed potatoes had been sitting under a heat lamp all day, the biscuit was dense and hard, and the sweet tea was just awful. I hope this isn’t what all these travelers think of Dickey’s BBQ, the franchise is really being done a disservice.

As airport food goes this place is decent. I had the pulled pork sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. I did not eat the sides as they appeared to have been sitting out for a while or made weeks ago. The entrée however exceeded expectations, The service was what you would expect from a fast food restaurant. Not knowledgable and a constant pained look.

Steer clear from the C6 «restaurant». Yeah the food is ok and typical BBQ, but it’s food court style and the employees could not be more miserable with their lives to make my experience awful and never want to return. As a customer I expected to be greeted, you don’t have to smile or even really be nice, but I really appreciate it when someone says«hello, what can I get you?» I just got a blank stare from the first guy who seemed annoyed to be alive… Then onto the cashier, no greeting, no smile, «here sign this»… So I say thank you very much. To which she turned around and ignored me. Are you kidding me? Is your life that bad? You have a job. Admittedly I have zero tolerance for bad customer service but that’s because I’ve worked fast food and upscale restaurants. Even when you have a bad day you suck it up and are respectful to other human beings. What a tragedy, never having been to a Dickey’s, I won’t be returning. Thank you sub-par employees for making my layover an even more hellish experience.

Some of the golden rules I hold dear to my heart when it comes to BBQ places: A). Mac n’ cheese should be judged solely on its cheesiness — It’s friggin mac n’ cheese, which is not exactly a cornucopia of textural contrast. B). Never order chicken breasts at a BBQ place — It’s a friggin BBQ place, not a bistro. You order ribs, briskets, or pulled pork or any cuts of chicken that’s bone-in. No self-respecting BBQ place takes pride in their chicken breast filet. They’re on the menu for folks who don’t know what BBQ is all about. C). Order cole slaws if available — They’re meant to be tangy and offers a refreshing zip to cleanse your palates. Further, they’re likely to be the only textural thing on your plate. D). There should always be ample proprietary BBQ sauces — BBQ is meant to be eaten with a sauce. If a place rations its sauce, that means there probably won’t be enough. Ask for more. Among these rules, I took off one star each for being disappointed on C and D. The cole slaw was pretty flavorless. In fact, the only remote hint of that tangy zip came right after I finished a large bite of their ribs. There’s texture, but so does raw cabbage. As for their BBQ sauce? First, this is an airport location with a shared dining space with 3 other restaurants. So it’s perfectly understandable for the BBQ joint to not place a bottle of their sauce on every table. However, it is rather ridiculous that they neither allow customers to pour their own BBQ sauce nor are they generous with their pours. I ordered a 3 meat plate(yes I was hungry), and I had no sauce left by the time I got to my pulled pork. Also, their brisket isn’t sliced, but virtually indistinguishable in appearance from pulled pork. Their ribs were good, if not somewhat lacking in their dry rub. Their mac n’ cheese was delicious, though. I would’ve been happy with simply eating 3 servings of that.

Terrible. Had high hopes, long line, in texas, some of the reviews were really positive… But man, food was awful. Ribs tasted like they were boiled, overly salty and sauce was watery and lacking flavor. Mac and cheese was mushy and the corn was corn. Bad bad bad food.

I’d say this place is pretty good for an airport location. I had the turkey and polish sausage, both very good. Baked beans were also very good, the mac and cheese was just so so. Staff was a little out of it.

Friendly folks here. Decided to get me a bite of BBQ. But was not impressed at all with this place. Chicken was not hot nor seasoned. The corn on cob was small for the price. I was disappointed in the food for the price. Chicken sandwich and 1 side for 12 bucks. Could have gotten soda with meal also at other places for that price.

I had a really sub-par pulled pork sandwich experience at Dickie’s. The meat flavor was a bit off, not very fresh tasting and the BBQ sauce was merely MEH tasting, Definitely, Cousin’s BBQ was the better of the two BBQ joints I tried while I was waiting to connect a flight at DFW airport.

There are two airports where I always look for barbecue: Dallas, TX and Charlotte, NC. I was flying into Dallas and found Dickey’s tucked away at the beginning of terminal C. Yummmmm!!! I had the BBQ chopped beef sandwich with Mac n cheese. Just under $ 10, quick, and hearty meal. I think it’s great! I’ll def be back. Friendly service.

Dog diggity! Brisket! Say no more! Such nice guys at the E12 terminal, Dallas Airport. Offering to sample this, and sample that. But all I wanted was some meat, no bread. Occasionally, I remember my no, or low, carb diet. Half pound of brisket was my fancy, with, of course, bbq sauce. $ 7.25 was the ticket, and I got it «to go». About midway thru my flight back to LA, I rolled out the red carpet for the brisket. The smell was nearly intoxicating. No doubt, I was the envy of every passenger aboard Virgin flight 883 — I ate, and ate, and ate. Really tender, really moist. For airport food, you’ll have a hard time beating it.
