Decks In The Park

One of the best free events in Dallas held on a Thursday night It’s one of the only places you could bring your children and dogs to a dance party and not get looks. It’s not a great idea to mark a spot with blankets too close to the stage the crowd will move you back it’s almost like a rave with people dancing, spinning hula hoops n what not. Check them out on Instagram fir scheduled dates tons of fun especially cause the park sells beer.

Gather your family, dog and a pick nick blanket cause this just may be the best thing you can do for free on a Thursday night (last Thursday of every month).
Decks in the park is 3 or 4 DJs playing at the Klyde Warren Park, full set up. Stage, lights, loud music, and great atmosphere; the park completely transforms to a family club. It’s another great event the park has available.
The DJs start to play at 7, people arrive early to claim a spot on the lawn. While it always seems like a good idea to be in the front, I would recommend to claim a spot towards the middle or back of the lawn. At around 9ish it will be packed, the sun goes down and the crowd starts dancing. At this time people at the front will kinda get pushed out of the way. Plus, the music can get a little loud. You’ll be a lot more comfortable and have a view a little further back anyways.
I hope they can continue to have this event, it’s pretty sweet!
