Comet One Hour Cleaners

The only reason that I am not giving Comet 5 stars is that they are a bit expensive, otherwise Comet treats you right. Comet & co went above and beyond for me and has for the past 5+ years. I have moved out of the area and have continued to return to Comet because of their superior service despite their high prices. If they miss a spot they ALWAYS redo my item for me or refund my money. They are reliable, friendly, and have never ruined any of my garments. That is rare in the dry cleaning business! Thank you Comet for being so wonderful!

They have a special for 3 pants for $ 9.99 right in front of the building and when I went to go pick up my clothes (3 pants) she charged me $ 3.99 for each pants. She then goes on to tell me that I should have told her that I wanted the special before I gave her the pants to wash even though it advertises outside that it’s 3 pants for $ 9.99. She refused to charge that amount and asked that I pay the nearly $ 14 for the 3 pants. Terrible business ethics on their part. She acknowledged her mistake but did nothing to fix the price when she could have easily done so. I do not recommend doing business with this store.

They deserve a negative rating. They ruined a brand new jos a bank jacket and still charged $ 30 for a failed alteration. To top that, they owner, she created a scene in the parking area by throwing the jacket on my car. Stay away from them!

Ripped my sweater, didn’t take out the stain of my dress, and lost one of my shirts. Never again.

My husband and I have been using this place for about 2 years, happy that we had finally found a decent place (although extremely expensive). However, we had taken in a brand new shirt that my husband had received for his birthday (tags still on it) and when we picked it up, they had ruined it. When I confronted the owner about this, she proceeded to tell me that my husband had ruined it and they were not responsible. She would not accept that when we brought it in, it had no damage and would not take responsibility for THEIR actions. In addition, we had brought in a jacket of mine that looked the same as how we dropped it off, after paying $ 9 of course. In the same encounter, the owner told me that she would not charge me and she was doing me a favor. Seriously??? The favor would have been doing the job right to begin with. This place used to be good but they have gotten too big and expensive for what they are providing. Now we are out of a shirt and I’m furious with the owners trying to play the blame game… they just lost customers.

So, get the call for an important interview and have to do some last minute shopping. Last minute shopping means last minute dry cleaning! I drove up here because they have the 1 hour option. The city was covered in ice, many places closed… but not this place. They were open and even concerned that I was about to pay double. Several times they told me it would be double because I needed it in one hour. I appreciated that really… but I didn’t have any choice.
Off to grab a quick bite (I suggest Royal Thai if your waiting), and back for my clean new clothes! They did a professional job and it was ready when I went back. I paid up, not thinking about cost as much as the upcoming interview… but I don’t have anything bad to say at all. Need it in a jiffy… they can do it.

The tailoring here has been excellent every time — I’ve had a suit jacket and dress taken in and pants hemmed. I’m amazed at how quick they (1) pin the clothes up and figure out what I want and need done and then (2) turn the job around and get the items back to me. My dry cleaning has been done well every time as well. The staff has always been professional and courteous.

This place is as good as any cleaners. They are quick, cheap, and close to where I live.

I’ll go ahead and give them the dreaded one-​star due to the situation yesterday. So since I wrote my first review, I had some shirts being treated there because they overstarched them. I went to pick them up yesterday and they were ruined. Like paper. The material was literally shredding. After going back and forth with the owner and telling her I would never be back, she actually said to me, now get ready for this, Unilocalers, «I am only one customer, I have many others». Shocked. Clearly, she has no clue.
I, Megan, do solemnly swear, that I will never, ever be back.
