I enjoyed a nice, quite Friday evening dinner here with my husband and a neighbor. The neighbor and I both had burgers. They were cooked perfectly the way we asked for them. I got mine with onion rings and they were great — nice, big, chunky onion rings. Yum! My husband had the beef tenderloin kebab. He said the meat was very tender and juicy. He couldn’t believe how delicious it was. He already wants to go back. The restaurant is a family business and has been open for many years. The atmosphere reflects this style. If you’re looking for a trendy, upscale place, this isn’t the spot for you. But, if you are looking for solid, quality food at a fair price, you’ll find what you are looking for at Cisco Grill.

The Cisco Grill is Snider Plaza’s best kept secret. It’s legit, and it’s also the #1 place I keep returning to in Snider Plaza, now that I live here.(Kuby’s is a close second.) Before I lived here, I’d never heard of it, and I never went to it. The«Cisco» is an all-around Texas-style restaurant, covering the gambit from burgers to wraps to salads to Tex-Mex. It’s all here, it’s all done well(casual with a slightly formal feel) and it’s all reasonably priced. I haven’t had everything on the menu(yet), but here’s what I can chime in on.: –The queso is awesome. I highly recommend it! –The veggie burger is pretty good. –The onion rings are quite good. Ask for some ranch dressing to dip them in. Delicious. –I’ve also tried their chicken enchiladas with the green sauce. I didn’t have a whole order, but they were notably good, and one of the highlights of their menu. –The bean quesadilla is very good as well.(For lenten options, this is one of my favorite lunches!) –The Beef Fajitas are not always on the menu, but when they are, they’re very good, though a tad on the expensive side. I’ll keep coming back, and as I do, I’ll update this review. Because it is Snider Plaza’s best kept secret, it’s easier to get into than Bandito’s, and it is directly across the plaza. If you find yourself waiting for Bandito’s, the Cisco is definitely worth a shot. You may find that you like it better!

I normally eat across the street at Half Shells or Bandidos and decided to cheat on them and give Cisco a shot. The place wasn’t too crowded and I was seated right way. Eclectic menu with a large burger selection, and I ordered the uno, dos, tres(a chicken taco, spinach quesadilla and a crispy beef taco) and tortilla soup. All were tasty and as good as some of the Tex-Mex places nearby. Service was fast and prices fairly reasonable. Nice hometown place where all the customers(whose median age was about 65) seem to know each other. I plan to come back and explore more of the menu.

My husband ordered salmon, and I ordered the beef kabobs. My husband really liked his food. The cornbread was fantastic! We ordered queso and chips before our meal. It was a very small amount of queso for the price, and the chips were too crunchy. I prefer lighter chips that are not so crunchy. The service was friendly and fast, so no complaints there. Regarding the beef kabobs, I could get more food and better food quality for my money down the street at Zoe’s Kitchen. For nearly $ 13 at Cisco Grill, I got one kabob, mediocre rice, and salad with yucky dressing. At Zoe’s Kitchen for about $ 12 I can get two kabobs, great rice, and great salad. My experience was just okay.

I really enjoyed this place until they changed their menu. It used to be a California-Mex, and every dish was fantastic. Now the food is just meh. The food is still healthy, but I missed the old Cisco Grill.

I’m giving this place a 5 star review on the food alone! The food will have you telling your friends about that tiny place in Snider Plaza with the amazing burgers and smoked chicken enchiladas and everything else on the menu! Oh man this food is gooood! How this place is not always packed I have never been able to figure out other than maybe it’s location being kinda hidden. Anyway, try this place, you won’t regret the decision!

My wife and I have been going to Cisco Grill for 8 years and love this restaurant. The staff is friendly and they make you feel at home. We have tried many dishes and alll are good especially the Hilltop Burger. We would recommend this place to anyone. Restaurant is under new ownership and has not missed a beat. In addtion, we do not live in the area but have driven from Frisco to eat here.

Used to love this place. Decided to order their chili for take-out. First thing I had to do was skim off an unbelievable amount of grease off the top. Cisco’s chef should have done this. Wondered about the quality of the meat, ratio of meat to fat. I just remember their chili being much better. If I could give them zero stars, I would have. Makes me sad.

This is always my go-to place when wanting a meal that is not too pricey and simply good. I grew up going here, and it never gets old. I ALWAYS get either the Salmon salad or the Chicken Sesame salad, and neither ever let me down. It is always consistently good, and the wait staff is most pleasant! You MUST try the delicious homemade buttermilk pie! It is D-E-V-I-N-E!!! My my is watering just thinking about it! I think I will go there tomorrow!

SMU is walking distance from some of the best burgers in the metroplex. Burger House, Twisted Root and Goff’s are a lot of folks favorites, but I’ll put Cisco above all of those. The Bluer than Blue Cheese burger is pretty much perfect every time and I love that you don’t have to pay extra for some of the best onion rings in America. The wait staff is small and consistent. I prefer the friendly flaxen to the surly sir.

I want to like Cisco Grill. I like the concept of the neighborhood tucked away restaurant. It seems to be and is a comfortable place with reasonable prices especially compared to many restaurants in the area, but I am not impressed with their food or their service. Really their service seems a little disjointed but almost comes across as charming, but I found the food to be bland. Even the tortilla soup that I feel like I hear about sometimes, was bland to me. I will give them another try but am not in a big hurry to do so.

I’ve been to this place several times in the past, but it had been several years since my last visit. No real reason, just checking out other options and developing favorites on Snider Plaza. I went for lunch the other day and got a blue cheese burger. It was ok – lots of real blue cheese which was a plus, and the burger was cooked perfectly medium as requested. However, the bun was toasted but stone cold. The waitress«recommended» the onion rings but they were frozen from a box. All in all I seem to remember this place being better, but maybe I am just older and wiser. Well, I certainly am older, so maybe I am just wiser.

Do not be fooled — this place has some good food! Lunch for 5 and we started with chips and salsa and went through two baskets rather fast. Good stuff. Chips were good, not greasy. Salsa is a bit mild. Try the beef kabob — perfectly cooked with tender beef. Burgers are very large, juicy and have great flavor. Pork chop was moist, tender with a good spice. Real– freshly brewed ice tea. Great location and easy parking. Service was friendly and helpful.

I recently discovered the Snider Plaza Area and saw Cisco Grill. From the trendy Snider Plaza area, I expected something very trendy and inventive — I should have known when we walked in the door by realize my partner and I were the only two people under the age of 60 in there, that it was not a good sign. We went on a Friday night around 7 and it was not crowded – at all – this should have been our second clue. This place definitely looks like a place that has been around a long time and has developed a local following. I ordered a cheeseburger and a side salad. It was mediocre at best. We actually laughed when we saw a young couple open the door, peer in, and then walk right back out. I liken this restaurant to a lower-end hotel restaurant — basic staples, but nothing really inventive or creative.

As a hamburger place, this is a pretty good place. It’s after you stray across the menu from the classic meat on a bun that it can get dicey. I was doubly disappointed because we had been here a couple of weeks ago with friends and had the hamburgers on recommendation(I now understand why) and the burgers and fries were great. I can’t say that about the rest of the menu we tried this evening. You would think a Southwestern place would know that piling chips sky-high on a plate and then flinging beans and cheese at them is how TGI Fridays makes nachos, which means that is evil, and not how proper nachos are made. The taco salad was reasonable, but not great. It made me glad I did not order the taco plate. Also, if you’re going to do a bit of Tex-Mex, where are the cheese enchiladas? There was shredded cheese on my wife’s hamburger, which I understand, since there are other dishes on the menu that require shredded cheese. However, a cheeseburger should really have melted cheese, not just shreds piled on top. Service was a bit slow this evening. Actually, it was more random than slow, since our soups arrived while the appetizer was only half-eaten, but the entrees arrived after we finished our soups. I know it’s probably a hopeless battle not only here but in most American restaurants, but if you sell in courses, you really should serve in courses. I really don’t like either wasting half of the appetizer(well, in this case, not that great a loss) or letting soup get cold just because servers don’t know when to put orders into the kitchen. I would go back and have a hamburger. I’m not sure I would try anything else.
