I often fly into Love Field in Dallas. I’ve been looking for a quality restaurant in the area for some time… I found one here at Celebration! SERVICE: outstanding. I arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Wednesday. I sat at the bar(small, cozy, comfortable…20 person capacity). Two bar tenders were very attentive and friendly. Beer came promptly in a very frosty glass. PERFECT! I hate when bar tenders are so busy with dining room drink orders that they forget about you. Not the case here. FOOD: ordered the sundried tomato chicken with mozzarella(one of the specials). I could not decipher what was included with the entrée. Then I discovered that it includes a «first course»(salad, soup, etc) and THREE vegetables. Add the fresh bread basket(corn bread, dinner roll, berry muffin) and it was plenty of food. And EVERYTHING was delicious. And this is the part that I was completely taken back by… free seconds! Seriously?!? It unfortunately didn’t include my specific entrée(stated clearly in menu) but includes entrees of equal or lesser value. I couldn’t eat more anyway, but still thought it was amazing. You won’t leave hungry. VALUE: Entrée, salad, rolls, three vegetables and a beer for $ 19.50. Great atmosphere. All previous reviews were very positive. Could not agree more. Coming here again soon and often!

I do like this place, however the fried chicken, not good in my opinion. It does say it’s highly rated, I say try some of thier other delicious meals. Go to Babe’s for the fried chicken.

Tops! Must try! So I’ve heard about Celebration for some time but never tried. It hit on all the marks! Let me start… VALUE = for $ 11.95-$ 18.95, you can order an entrée and get seconds of almost any other entrée of lesser value. I tried a lot of the poultry, starting with chicken fried chicken, fried chicken, Jamaican chicken and walnut chicken. With family style sides, for under $ 20? No way! QUALITY = for the price you expect some frozen fast-food stuff? Nope. Celebration changes their menu frequently; almost everything is farm to table! The sides they had last week may not be available this week! All chicken is range free, vegetarian fed chicken… when the chicken breast is smaller than your hand, that is a rarity! But seriously, the mashed potatoes are like how your mom used to make them. Pot roast was actually very solid. Fried chicken was clearly hand battered(inconsistently consistent). To get solid home cooked food is a refreshing experience in today’s dining world All in all would LOVE to come back and try the other dishes. Left fulfilled, fed the entire family for around $ 60 and it was quality food, not junk. This is how dinner should be. Try the brownies btw, you’ll thank me!

IT’S ALLSOGOODANDSOCHEAPANDSOUNLIMITED! This place really is as good as it gets! Unlimited seconds on entrees? How is this even real!?! The menu has a wide variety and the food is great, if you like all around American food. All the vegetable sides are really fresh, as this is technically a farm to table place. I also really love their cornbread. I’ve been to this place numerous times and everything they make is good, but I would recommend the chicken fried steak or chicken and dumplings. The service is great and the restaurant is gigantic… you generally won’t have to wait if you don’t have a large party. Please support this awesome, local restaurant!

Excellent service, value, and taste! Unlimited seconds, thirds, and fourths on almost any dish. The meals are served family style so you’ll pick a few vegetables for the table. We ended up with black-eyed peas, zucchini, and fried okra all which were really good and again, unlimited. For entrees we were able to try chicken fried steak, fried chicken, and through the power of being able to choose different(but similarly priced) entrees for second portions we also tried the chicken fried chicken. While all were good the fried chicken was the hands down winner, super tasty and well cooked. We will be back for sure!

I tried the mixed greens and walnut salad as a starter and it was very tasty. I ordered the chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy, broccoli and mashed potatoes which was just okay. Unfortunately, that was the toughest and most bland chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. The gravy was plain gravy with slices of jalapenos over it. I do not recommend that at all. Besides the waitress forgetting to seat my party and I, service was great. I just would like to see why this place gets a lot of great reviews when the food is subpar.

Great food! The only place in Dallas who serves fresh authentic food. the meatloaf and pot roast was delicious and don’t forget about the chocolate cream pie for desert. Come hungry, cause they give you as much food as you want.

What a delicious lunch I had at this place. Restaurant is huge with bar and nice patio. Food is delicious and the staff was very attentive. Water kept coming, waitress kept checking and food came out promptly. I ordered the Broiled Rainbow trout with almonds. This dish came with three sides: zucchini Parmesan, organic side salad and side of fruits. It was all so fresh and yummy. Gosh what can I say this place lived up to the reviews. The only drawback is parking but glad we decided to park on the side street and walk up. It was worth the few steps to get to the restaurant. Noticed they also have a market which hopefully I will check out next visit. Until next time peeps…

Came here for dinner recently with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed my meal! The restaurant is what looks to be a converted house and has a very home-y, Southern comfort type feel. The booths are tight but not uncomfortable. Our server was slightly scattered but overall attentive. The gentleman refilling our water glasses was extremely attentive and came by every few minutes without being asked. The menu changes as ingredients appear to be sourced locally. Many of the meat dishes are marked with asterisks, indicating that they are hormone and antibiotic free(you can taste the difference). The way you order here is quite interesting. First, you pick an entrée to serve as your full portion and first course. Then, if you like, you can choose to try up to 2 more entrees that are consequently served as half portions. The entrée comes with your choice appetizer. On this particular day, we were given the choice of two salads and one soup(it changes every day). You are then asked to pick some sides to go along with your entrée. Our table of 3 was allowed to choose 4 sides. We started with a bread basket. The bread basket had jalapeño cornbread and blueberry muffins in it– both were tasty. For dinner, I had the seafood gumbo soup(fantastic!) with a full portion of fried chicken(dark meat– came out with a drumstick and a thigh) and a half portion of fried catfish(served with tartar or cocktail sauce and a wedge of lemon). I HIGHLY enjoyed the fried chicken and would return to eat it! The batter was light, slightly sweet, and studded with specks of fresh parsley. It tasted slightly sweet and tasted faintly of nutmeg. YUM! The catfish was also very fresh and perfectly fried. I enjoyed the cornbread batter and loved the cocktail sauce served alongside it. For our sides, we chose to share some steamed okra(delicious!), fried okra(excellent), mashed potatoes(creamy and pretty good), and steamed broccoli(decent). I highly recommend the steamed and fried okra. I love how there is less food waste here with the smaller ensuing portions. I also loved being able to try multiple items. You are charged for the most expensive item that you order. Loved my meal here and can’t wait to return!

This was my second visit. This time for a small group dinner/business meeting. I can’t rave about this ‘Best Choice’ place. Many meeting rooms of various size will assure you of a quiet & private place with excellent home cooked Southern style menu, moderate prices, friendly, professional staff, lot’s of parking and in a central location! A Rare Combination!

This place is great if you’re wanting home cooked southern comfort food. It’s perfect for hungry folks or the indecisive because you can get additional entrees of equal or lesser value for free. The sides are limitless as well. What a steal. My boyfriend had three serving of the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy.(Oh, note that the additional servings are half orders.) It was amazing. I had the jerk chicken which had a ton of flavor and then tried the pot roast. The horse radish sauce really kicked it up a notch. I’d recommend all three. And of course the bread basket to start is great and the bottomless salad with their amazing buttermilk ranch is key. If you haven’t been, give it a shot. Some items can be a little bland and need some salt but that’s forgivable. Service was also great!

Customer service was good. I ordered the chicken fried black angus steak… It isnt your traditional pounded chicken fried steak, it was a bit thicker but it was really tender so it made up for it… the flavor was awsome not to flavorfull, just rite. Last but not least is the jalapeño white gravy… by far the best gravy i have ever had… note i am a chef and i always go for a good chicken fried steak and the gravy is a key point for me… Overall two thumbs up!

If you’re looking for some great comfort food this is the place to go! I still dream of the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy. YUM! My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken at first and after tasting my CFC he ordered himself one as his second entrée. We chose corn, mashed potatoes and Lima beans as our sides and they did not disappoint and for dessert we ordered the banana pudding and coconut cream pie. Our waiter is the one who suggested the coconut cream pie. I wasn’t too excited about it, but after one bite I was in heaven ! We will definitely go back to this place soon.

We visited Celebration for the first time. My wife had the house salad and I had the turkey soup. Our entrees were the bone-in pork chop, fried catfish, fried okra, kale with cranberries, and red beans and rice with sausage. The sides are serve home style. My wife’s pork chop was tender and tasty, and my catfish was excellent. The sides and corn bread were also quite good. This isn’t a low-cal option, but they are good for southern comfort food.

I go here quite often with my husband and two babies even though we no longer live anywhere nearby(we make the drive from Frisco at least twice/month)! We like the healthy food and vegetables. As people who eat out far too often, it’s one of the only choices with healthy, whole foods. What I said below still true — there are often long waits and it’s a bit crowded. We find it to be a decent place for kids, if we’re seated in the right section. The service can be bit slow and uneven but we’re patient so it’s fine. Very reasonably priced. The gumbo and chicken tortilla soups are delicious.

If you’re looking for a nice american comfort food fresh from the farm this is the place. It is a pretty fun place where you can unlimitedly request more entrees of the same value or less and sides. This place has some the best fried chicken I have ever experienced and amazing rolls/corn breads. Basically everything I’ve tried here has been super delicious with entrees ranging from 8−15+ dollars. The restaurant layout is a bit confusing, but it works. This restaurant is always packed every time I come here. Service was great and waiters were very attentive. Got to mention the fried chicken again, so delicious I just started drooling thinking about it again. Super savory and not too salty or fried.

I really really like this place. Try to come at non-peak hours and you will like this place too. The bread basket is a great way to start off the meal. the jalapeño cornbread is delicious. I recently had lunch with a group and everyone enjoyed their meal. My sister liked the pot roast and my cousin ordered the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy. I tried the pot roast and it was pretty tasty. I like that a small bowl of the pot roast gravy was brought out with that meal. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken and it was crispy, flavorful, hot(temperature wise), and perfectly cooked. There’s a variety of sides to choose from. The waitress was attentive and I like how there’s separate dining areas. It makes the restaurant feel cozy and more intimate. Hoping to be back in the area soon so that I can dine here again.

Came here with my friend, as she had recently come here with her boyfriend, and loved the concept of the restaurant. Endless entrees and sides! However, there was no way we were going to be able to eat more than 2 plates. Both of us really enjoyed everything served. Quality of the dishes are not compromised. The bread basket with the cornbread was delectable and we ate way too many carbs. The pecan crusted chicken was probably our favorite if you are trying to decide what to order. The waiters were so nice to us and quite accommodating, as we had both brought our dogs and they allowed them to sit with us outside on their patio!

This place is awesome! I mean what could go wrong with endless entrees and sides?! Definitely not a thing. Our poor waiter told us the record amount of entrees eaten there was around 12. So my boyfriend and his roommate attempted to beat it. Sadly they only got to 7 – 8, but our waiter was very nice about having to run back and forth between our table and the kitchen. The feel of the place was nice too, a little southern comfort id say. All in all I’d go back and recommend it to anyone. Just don’t overeat and throw up. I cannot confirm nor deny that happened that night.

The original HG Supply with a southern homey charm. Everything here is fresh and amazingly delicious, I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and everything on the menu here is a can’t miss, so take a chance and try something new or be like me and stick to the pecan crusted chicken with a honey mustard glaze that is greatness. This place is absolutely huge and parking can be a mess but you know that coming here. The fact that everything is from local farmers market keeps all items fresh especially the fruit! The plates and portions are large, again keeping with the southern charm and plates come with three sides making choosing their rotating daily sides easier and harder at the same time if that makes any sense. They have a Mexican corn side that I’ve always wanted to try but it’s mayo based opting me to pass. Come on sour cream base! Overall if you want good home style cooking with large portions and everything fresh; this is a winner every single time and somehow this place makes you happy every time you come here even if you do it on a weekly basis(which I do know people that do come here daily & I don’t blame them one bit)

My family has been coming here for lunch for years, and the food is consistently wonderful! It’s a great place for a large group since you can order share-plates of sides and they have a gorgeous shaded patio with fireplaces. If you love fried chicken, and this is your first time, you must try the friend chicken! It’s arguably some of the best in Dallas! The majority of the food is locally sourced, which is cool too.

Yum. Wow. Put more of that in my mouth hole. These were the variety of emotions I cycled through dining at Celebration. I embarked on a Thursday dinner around 8pm following many a positive Unilocal!review. It is somewhat of a hidden gem, as my Dallas-resident boyfriend had never heard of it. However, I believe the line out the door proved this assumption to be false. My date and I were put on a 30 minute wait as we wandered in to the packed lobby. Celebration stayed true to their word and seating us at a half-booth half-table thingy about 30 minutes later. Immediately a server’s assistant placed a basket of warm assorted breads and two glasses on water on our table, and took drink orders. Inside the toasty cocoon of the bread basket lay two wheat dinner rolls, two slices of jalepeño cornbread, and two different seasonal muffins. Jalepeño cornbread: meh. Not a savory cornbread gal. Dinner rolls: yes. Yum. Get in my mouth forever. Seasonal muffins: the pumpkin spice muffin scorned me with a hidden raisin. I digress. It was pretty good. Our service was prompt, and with my selection of the chicken fried chicken with jalepeño gravy, I received a first course of either the daily soup, salad, or fruit cup. I went for the fruit cup and was not disappointed; classic fruit cup. My date opted for the salad with basil vinaigrette. «It was good», he quipped. Not a man of much excitement. Along with our choices of main dish, we could choose 3 family-style vegetables of the day. The decision fell on me and I chose the mashed potatoes, fried okra, and sweet potatoes. Our dishes came within 15 minutes. The chicken fried chicken with jalepeño gravy was a-maz-ing. I wanted to put everything in that gravy: the chicken, the okra, maybe even a sweet potato. And the chicken breast was pretty damn good as well, moist and tender. The mashed potatoes has the skin on, which automatically qualifies them in to a class of their own. They earned this status, and didn’t even need the gravy. The fried okra was good. Says southern boyfriend who doesn’t like okra: «That was the best okra I’ve ever had.» Get it if you can, the sides rotate each day. And finally, the sweet potatoes. Do not eat these along with your entrée. They are very sweet, very good, and work best as an after-dinner mint, errrr, potato. But here’s the best part. Get ready. Once my date had finished his Jamaican Jerk Chicken(A++), the waiter asked him if he would like seconds. WHAT? Are you sure? In 21st-century America?! He was not pulling a fast one on us. And when my date replied that he would like seconds of what I was having, he was greeted with a warm smile and«certainly». This is insane to me. I mean, we’re basically stealing at this point. All in all, Celebration is an amazing value with even more amazing food. I will be visiting again on my next visit to DFW.

This is one of Dallas’ original Farm-To-Table restaurants and I have always loved them for it! Down home great home cooking served up by friendly folks. this is a place for everything from a lunch break to a family gathering. Many of you may know about Celebration’s policy in the evenings on their evening menu… that is veggies are served family style and you can get seconds on many if not most of their entrees, but what I did not know is that you can also request the same deal during the day as well. The deal being, you would have to order from the dinner menu(and pay slightly higher dinner prices), but then you can take advantage of the same great deal on seconds on entrees and veggies. There are restrictions to the seconds policy and I recommend you visit with your waitperson to fully understand them but if you have a big appetite, it is one of the best deals in Dallas! Some of my personal favorite things: 1) The roll basket they bring you, they are delicious! 2) The Salmon, it is better than a seafood restaurants! 3) The Pear Salad(available on certain days, as the salad selection rotates) 4) Pot Roast, just like your granny used to make 5) Pecan crusted chicken(also available on a salad) 6) Jalapeño Cream Gravy, good on just about anything! Their desserts are great as well, but honestly, I rarely have room left for dessert as their portions are generous.

Had the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy(~$ 15). YUMMMMM. Definitely southern comfort food. The jalapeño cream gravy is a win. I love the concept of this place. It’s an interesting take on «all you can eat.» After you order and eat your entrée, you can try a smaller portion of any other entrée on the menu of equal or lesser value, one at a time. But no take home boxes! And you can pick 3 sides to share among the table, family style. Our group picked the mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, and mexican street corn. all 3 were good. we also tried a few of the desserts including the crème brûlée, coconut cream pie, etc. We came on a thursday night and they have a half off wine bottles special. so we got a bottle of chardonnay for the table for only $ 10. what a steal!

This place is the definition of Southern Comfort Food. There is a restaurant side and a catering side, and parking can be kind of tight during the lunch rush. Really cute restaurant with patio area. You really can’t go wrong with anything here. All entrees come with three sides. I got the pecan crusted chicken. SODELICIOUS. Tried the jerk chicken. Also AMAZING. The chicken friend chicken also looked good from a far as I saw it being brought out. Got the mashed potatoes, squash, and salad. Can’t go wrong with any sides here either. Beware of food coma. Hard to get back to work after such a delicious meal!

The soft house of ‘celebration’ with its comfort food grandmotherly meals, seems almost aptly named. I imagine confetti falling, primary colors, children singing in unison and a blanket covering an older wise relative telling stories while on a long holiday vacation. Meals ranging from $ 8 — $ 17, from chicken and dumplings to chopped steak, mostly include three sides that you’d associate with home cooked goodness. «Welcome to the senior center.» My friend said quietly with a smile, as we were sat in a small room full of diners with an average age of, say, 60. «So what’s your status?» An older grandma said to a younger female relative. «Single?» “What’s your status?” I asked my friend. «Dangling.» He smarmed with some comedy. His chicken and dumplings were, disgusting, basically a chicken pot pie without the crust. But he seemed happy. It was just too rich, although it tasted ok and fresh. My meatloaf was better, $ 12, which came with mashed potatoes, fried okra and a salad with blue cheese. It’s like a really good diner. If you get the meatloaf, opt for the mushroom sauce. Everything is mostly very good here. Like the perfect TV dinner from heaven. There’s a bar and complimentary bread basket that comes with mini muffins, jalapeño cornbread and rolls. I’m always happy when I leave here, but with just a little bit of caloric guilt. Perfect for a hangover, celebration is no misnomer if you workout. It’s a perfect recipe for comfort food, and the service is quick, attentive and thoughtful.

A restaurant that lets me order seconds?! And the second helping doesn’t have to be what I tried for my original order?! I’m there! I came to Celebration on the recommendation of a friend and was happy with the choice. A restaurant that allows you to try two items on their menu at no additional cost is a fantastic idea. The guests at the table can order individual entrées and share family style vegetables. I will admit that I was a little disappointed by the vegetable offerings but my pot roast made up for it. The server, Luis, was very friendly and attentive. Great family atmosphere with seating for small and large groups as well as a private room. Will definitely be back.

Thank you for your lovely fresh farm tasting food, amazing service, fun nice relaxing pleasant ambiance to really get me in the jive to celebrate life everyday. Please don’t change a thing. I love sitting at the cozy nice bar and savoring a grand meal at an amazing price when riding solo. All the loyal patrons are so happy and friendly. Often you see generations of all ages enjoying their time here together. And many elder patrons may dine here comfortably alone knowing they are eating a meal reminiscent of fresh foods of quality times gone by. Often the portions of one entrée and sides are big enough for me to make 2 meals out of which really makes the price value a true gift. My only dilemma is waffling between my olé standby favorites while maneuvering the daily board specials. If your first time I recommend the classic meatloaf. Everything is tasty here.

My friend is a huge fan of celebration. We go there for lunch at least once a week. Always his choosing. There is a lot of parking but it gets crowded fast at lunch time. The atmosphere is very middle age-white collar. Their food is fresh, the staff is the best and they give you a basket full of delicious mini muffins and mini rolls when you come in. The menu is always the same with the exception of the daily specials, that are usually a salad and a dish with a protein and 2 sides. The sides change according to season, the vegetables are always good and in the summer they have the best watermelon slices. The reason why I don’t give it more stars, is because the only 2 options for vegetarians are an Avocado sandwich and a Vegetable plate, the vegetable plate is basically a bunch of side dishes. The flavors are good, but the soups usually have broth and some of the dishes have other animal products as well, making it very difficult for vegetarians. I honestly don’t want to go to a restaurant and pay $ 15 after tax and tip for an avocado sandwich. I really wish they would have actual vegetarian options.

I always like coming here. Good southern cooking, all you can eat-sized portions and a rotating menu of specials. They have excellent fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Your group will share sides, so pick a few that the whole group will enjoy. The sides are also all you can eat, so make sure if you have something you like, to order more immediately. They love to make«jalapeño» versions of dishes, so if you want something with jalapenos on it, ask and they’ll do it without breaking a sweat, though you will. From what I can tell, they use fresh jalapenos, so expect some heat. Call ahead if you’re going on the weekend as they book private rooms up fast.

I decided to dine here because they get their meats from the same local farmer that believes in ethical/humane traditional farming. I ordered the center cut pork chop and they offer«family style sides». There was 3 of us and they brought us the tiniest of sides I’ve ever seen. I understand that you can keep ordering more at no extra cost. But come on, by the time our waiter comes around, our food is getting cold and rubbery. For the care that Burgundy Pastures goes through to produce high quality meats, this restaurant sucked at cooking it. My pork chops was not seasoned, dry, and tasteless. Overall BORING. My wife had the salmon and that was dry and over priced. Their cornbread was the only thing that had any real flavor. The service was bad. I felt like I had fallen into some kind of time capsule. We felt very unwelcomed. The servers are not warm people at all. They are just their to take your order. The ambience of the restaurant was completely dreadful. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
