Great patio if it’s warm enough. Terrific selection of beers. Cuban sandwich is very good. My wife loves the spinach and strawberry salad. Good, fast, attentive servers.

Below average food and drinks, service was very slow, waiter took forever to come to my table. This restaurant is seat yourself that’s probably why it took forever for me to get noticed. I decided to walk in and give it a try because I always drive by this place. I will continue to just drive by and pass this place.

Tried to eat here for Christmas dinner and drinks. However me and my boyfriend sat there for ten minutes with no service. Waitress walked by and never acknowledged our presence or said she would be right with us. Bartenders just looked at us. It wasn’t even busy. Didn’t feel very welcomed. Hope it wasn’t because of what we looked like after moving all day on Christmas, we were pretty tired and now we have to find somewhere else that may be open. Thanks for the holiday spirit.

Fish and chips were excellent. Garlic fries were very good. Bacon tacos and sausage tacos for brunch were really good. Sides of potatoes and fruit cup were really good.

We had a quick bite to eat here and it was great! They have a huge drink menu and we were lucky enough to get their special Texas Fair menu with all the crazy fair food everyone loves. They have a great atmosphere and he waitress was really nice! Oh, and the deck is huge and perfect for people watching or just having a chill night with friends. Definitely come here during good weather and sit outside, you won’t regret it!

We went to this place on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy, but it wasn’t dead either, so we sat outside on the deck which looked inviting. We sat there among other patrons for over 8 minutes without a single employee acknowledging our presence or to even say«hi, we’ll be with you shortly.» No thanks, if they’re not interested in their own business, then neither am I.

I can only comment on the drinks since that’s all I’ve had here but I love the outdoor patio and the laid back vibe. They have a pretty good beer selection and their seasonal cocktails are always solid. If you’re in Knox-Henderson area this is a great drinking spot

One of the great East Dallas spots to grab a drink and meet friends. This place is good for almost any outing whether it’s a first time meeting or let’s have an after work meeting. Great prices and strong drinks if you like that type of thing!

This is a great location to meet up with old friends or to simply chill out on a lazy day. Staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable of the beer menu. However, I must say that their menu catches you off guard! If you’ve been sipping on a few beers then chances are… you’ll need some food. ORDERPIZZA! So great! Awesome location — cool patio.

I’ve been coming here on the regular for a good 6 years now. What makes this place? The staff. Seriously, get to know them and you’ll have a great time whenever you walk in. Negative: weekend menu times are a bit weird(there is a space from 3 – 4 where you can only get pizza) Positive: staff, beer selection, menu variety, great porch, good events

A great spot if you are looking for just a good ol’ bar. Is the food great? No. Is the staff friendly? Yeah. Are the beers cold? You bet. You don’t go here to dine or have a fussy dinner, you come to Capitol to throw back a few drinks and enjoy their awesome wrap around patio in the prime Henderson Ave spot.

This was a restaurant I went to when I got to Dallas. I was pleasantly surprised with the food we got. We ordered the Calamari and some personal sized pizzas. The service was really quick except when it came to the pizza. We got our first appetizer in about 15 minutes which was fine. The calamari was average. Nothing too special, they had a sweet red marinara sauce and I couldn’t tell what the other sauce was but it was sweet as well. The pizzas took about 45 minutes to an hour and the waitress brought us the wrong pizza originally. I would understand the wait time because the Dallas and Houston playoff basketball game was on but the place was empty. Maybe I caught them on an off night but I wasn’t too impressed. This place looks like it should be rockin with the game on because there are lots of open seating. Definitely worth a go!

I used to go to Capitol Pub all of the time when I was able to hang out late. It’s definitely a great spot to stop for a drink. But the thing is, that’s all I’ve ever seen it being good for, and since I don’t get out late night much anymore, I don’t find myself visiting Capitol Pub anymore. I do think it’s in a good location for walking since you can hit up a few other restaurants/bars that’s in that little strip. Street parking is always nice when you can get lucky enough to find a spot right by this place. Overall, it’s a good place to come for a beer or cocktail.

I’ve been here many times over the past 3 years since we hold our interview social hours here and have essentially tried every single food item on the menu. They have a small parking lot behind the pub and I can usually find parking there if it’s not too crowded of a night. Otherwise, there’s valet parking across the street(never used it so I don’t know if there’s a fee) or streetside parking around the neighborhood. They also have a very large beer selection including my favorite combo, the Chimay red, white and blue. Food-wise, my favorite dishes are the grilled shrimp skewer which is perfectly grilled with a nice smoky flavor and just the right amount of spice. The crispy pork shanks are also delicious. The beef skewers are very good. They have a variety of pizzas but the best is probably their Capitol special. The shepherd’s pie is tasty and quite filling. The burgers and sliders are the standard, my favorite is the pulled pork. Their mussels and clams have a nice broth. There’s not really an item that I don’t like on the menu and that says a lot about the consistency of this place. I always have a really good time here.

Very nice bar always packed. Good selection of beers. Staff is friendly(when they are not busy). We got to go on a Sunday when it was dead this place is real nice. Fireplace outside, wooden picnic tables, pub atmosphere. Beer was not to expensive the only thing that keeps me from giving a hire rating is the parking situation.

I dig the Capitol Pub for happy hour. Brunch, maybe not so much. They have a fantastic patio when the weather allows. Unfortunately, we’re having a little Indian summer action and sitting in the sun when it’s pushing 90 is too uncomfortable. No worries, they have a great inside. Except when Sunday morning is playing Saturday night’s music level. Oh, wells. It didn’t seem to bother anyone else so just call me a grumpy old lady and let’s leave it at that. The food was a’ight. Everything was just a tad overcooked but still edible. The $ 14 bottomless mimosas made up for it so there’s that. Our server was just attentive enough to keep up happy but absent enough to let us enjoy each other’s company. That’s a win. Next time I’ll stick with happy hour and call it good.

I love this place for brunch, lunch and late night eating. Brunch wise, mimosas are bottomless on Sundays. Win! They just recently started serving Saturday brunch which is awesome, but drinks are $ 5 each. Boo. Anywho… My favorite dish here is a toss up between the seared tuna salad or the steamed mussels. They’re both AWESOME and fill you up without making you feel gross. Highly reco either. Lots of beer selection and I’ve had great experiences with the staff. Case and point, the picture I posted of my salad.(They wrote«What’s up Lauren» on the plate. Awesome. Sauce. Literally.)
