Im Cambodian and this temple has been around for a long time. Every tear Khmer New Year is celebrated and its here. Many people refer this to the«old» temple or «original» because theres a new temple closer to people in the suburbs. I dreaded coming here when I Was younger because it was very rural and unorganized. Many times it’d rain the day prior and the grass would be so muddy. I came today to celebrate the gates. GPS found the place which is just how I remembered the entrance. The parking is more organized now and they even paved cement to walk. The stands now how cement as well which is great. This place is now a facility not just land they rented and had vendors come too. The only down side was there was a lot of thai/loa people selling food. Our food are same/similar but it took away from the authenticity of this being a Cambodian Buddhist Temple.

When you walk in the temple you see all the Cambodian art work and they are still adding on. Everything that is done here is based on people who donate their time to make it a beautiful Temple like Cambodia. I enjoy coming here when I want to feel a little culture. I also like to come here because this temple will never judge you or make you believe in their beliefs. The biggest festival at this Temple is New Years. Cambodian New Years comes during April. Today they had parades, lots of food vendors, live band to dance and performers. If you want to see what people eat and listen to a different type of music, this is a festival that should be visited during April. The rest of the year it’s pretty quite. Over great place to celebrate traditionally.

Food, food and more food. If I had not been going to another event then I would have stocked up on Cambodian delicacies. It was a well attended event. There were activities for children and a section for worship which was decorated with flowers and smelled of incense. The people were nice and I felt very welcomed. While I was there there was no live entertainment but the Cambodian music the DJ was playing was actually pretty good.
