So I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time. We first ate at the one in Deep Ellum(they deserve 5 stars too). The food is good quality and fresh. The French toast and the crepes are delicious! But, more importantly, the service is amazing! Both times we’ve been here we were well taken care of by the staff. Of course, I try to find kid friendly when I go somewhere. I can not be more grateful for such a nice staff after my 7 year old toppled my water into my husband’s lap. Not only did they make me feel better but made me laugh, reminding me that there would probably more spills that day seeing as that it’s Née Year’s Eve and they are open 24 hours! And a huge thank you to the guy that brought my daughter a hot chocolate to make her feel better! I think I found a new favorite breakfast spot! Now my if only my favorite out of work waitress would come apply here!

The egg omelet I ordered had way too much cheese. The Mimosa glass is too small in my opinion for $ 5.00BUT, the Coffee bar is Ok.

Tasty food, but the service is consistently a disappointment. On two of three trips I have had to deal with slow service and a lost ticket — on one occassion i had to hunt down the server after 30 minutes and was told the ticket ‘fell behind’. The manager’s attempt to make things right was to provide me with a 20% discount on my NEXT visit and it expired in 2 weeks. Worthless. I get an overwhelming sense that the people that work there just don’t care. The food is good when you get it(and good sized portions), albeit a little pricey for breakfast. When they get their act together internally, i’ll try again.

I hadn’t tried this place and read that it is like Café Brazil just cheaper. I’m not sure if I agree with the fact that it is cheaper, but I do agree that it is very similar to them. They seated us very quickly. The server was prompt, and the food was prompt. I like the food way better than Café Brazil. It was much tastier. I got the toast grillers or something like that. It is their version of French toast. It was AMAZING. The eggs were good; everything was cooked very well. The only negative thing I have to say about it is we went in the morning, and the cleaner for their floor or something was so strong. I’m glad they keep the restaurant clean; however, it was gross to smell while eating.

Buzzbrews, you know I love your food, but your service is hit or miss. Today, I waited 48 minutes from the time I placed my order for my food to arrive. I totally understand that it’s a Sunday and it’s busy, but there was no communication from our server as to how long our food was going to take to prepare. At the 35 minute mark, I flagged her down(which was not an easy task) and she unapologetically stated that it would be less than 10 more minutes. 13 minutes later our food arrived(and my mile high was missing its walnut toppling :(). When it was brought to our waitress’ attention that we were double charged for coffee, she did not have a solution. We just paid it and left, because«I’ll see what I can do» is not taking ownership. I won’t be back anytime soon.

Believe me before I write this review… I’m a big fan of Buzzbrews. For several years, I’ve been going to the Buzzbrews that’s currently located in Deep Ellum. But, since this place is new… I noticed that things would be somewhat out of sync with the kitchen, and the wait staff. I guess it’s going to take awhile before the crew at Buzzbrews gets their act together. Luckily for the family, and I… we had our favorite Waiter from the Deep Ellum location named«Shorty» that waited on us. He’s an awesome person to deal with… and the rest of the waiters can learn lots from him in regards to customer service. Overall, the family, and I were very satisfied with our meals, and coffee. The food was well prepared and it seemed that the kitchen was on point today. I had one of my favorites, the Californication dish that tasted delicious. Which was complimented with their never ending coffee… I had their Organic Mexican,(very good). My wife always enjoys her favorite«Mr. C» which keeps a BIG smile on her face every time she eats it. And for the rest of the Clan, they’re just happy that they can get their fix of hot pancakes, and chocolate milk,(my kids are easy to satisfy… lol!). Note: This restaurant has several options for us, Vegetarians. I highly recommend the Californication, and the Hare Krishna(Crêpe).

We decided to go to BuzzBrews for brunch on Sunday, right around noon. Even though it is quite possibly the loudest restaurant in Dallas(not because of the music), I generally enjoy their food. We expected it to be busy, so we weren’t surprised when the hostess said said there would be a 20 minute wait. What we didn’t expect was to wait for over an hour to get out food after ordering. We sat outside and regretted not telling the poor patrons waiting for their table that their 30 min wait would only be rewarded with a wait twice as long for their food. Our extremely nice waiter kept assuring us that the food would be out soon, that was probably only thing stopping me from walking across the street and getting a snack from the gas station. I understand that there was a rush, but they amateurs at their brunch game and should have a well staffed kitchen. Either that or reduce the number of tables they were seating. It seems stupid, this can’t be their first busy brunch. We were deceived! If they been honest about their incompetent to manage the kitchen, we would have left immediately. Unfortunate, we were only informed of the extended wait time after being seating and ordering our drinks, and even then it was greatly understated. Won’t be going back any time soon.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Jason one of the bartenders; he took care of us when we came in and was super nice! The food came out fast and hot! They are super busy for brunch so we always get it to go but all the other times it’s a great place to eat and drink and be marry! keep it up. Sylvia

I love the Buzzbrew Kitchen concept and unique menu and environments from store to store. I had the opportunity to meet friends here for breakfast. As usual, the self-service coffee selection was outstanding. I don’t think I’ve had a bad cup of coffee at any of the locations. Unfortunately, the Lakewood location isn’t quite up to par with the other locations on this visit for me. The service wasn’t as attentive as I’m accustom to at the other locations. While the server was friendly and prompt at getting us seated, it took awhile for him to come back and take your orders. It really didn’t appear to be busy at the time, as it was a late breakfast and literally less than a handful of tables occupied. He never stopped by our table again until we called him over to get the tab. Someone from the kitchen actually brought out our meals. As for the food itself, once again, not up to want I’d consider Buzzbrew standards. While it wasn’t a bad meal, nobody’s breakfast was as tasteful as we’d remembered from the other locations. Personally I think it was the fact it was left sitting before coming out to the table. While not, cold, my breakfast was barely warm. Therefore, nothing really popped. The flavors were there, just subdued. The lack of service is never a good thing. This was only one visit for me, I’m always willing to come back for another try. Hopefully the server is having a better day and the meal comes out in a timely manner next time.

This is one of my favorite places here in Lakewood, especially for a nice brunch. If you’re looking for a funky and eclectic diner-esk place to grab brunch, this is a fabulous place to swing by. If you’re looking for something really upscale, maybe this isn’t a 5-star brunch place for you. The Griddle Toast is easily some of the best French toast-like dishes that I’ve ever had. It comes covered in cinnamon and sugar, walnuts, and is near perfection! I come here just for it! The other options are also super tasty, so follow your brunch dreams! The coffee is also excellent, but not universally delicious. The nice thing is that they have a great coffee bar and if you don’t like your first choice, you can change it up. For me, as a guy who loves casual brunch spots, it’s hard to beat this joint. It’s a can’t miss experience!

Very meh. Service was pretty lousy. Ordered chips and salsa, which out waiter forgot about and brought to the table about a minute before the rest of the food. Defeats the point of an appetizer. Not to mention, the salsa kind of sucked. Definitely not worth 4.99. Ordered a dish with sunny side up eggs and the yolks weren’t runny at all. The highlight of the meal was the refried beans, which is kind of sad. Won’t be back.

So glad the Buzz is in Lakewood! The space is awesome. Glad they kept some of the trappings of the Irish pub that used to be here. Probably the best environment/space of all the BBs. The food is stellar: if you’ve never had the Hari Krishna, you’re life is a little impoverished, but there’s hope; both the omlets and crêpe are soul-selling good. It’s also a good place to come sit, drink coffee, and write/read, or to drop in for an afternoon pint at the bar. My only complaint, which seems true at all BB, locations is WiFi issues. The signal is often weak or drops out, so no elaborate online work at your brunch. However, if you’re not doing online work, this place is perfect for working meetings over lunch, brunch, or breakfast, and it’s got some pretty good dinners too.

I really dig the atmosphere at this Buzzbrews location; it is more spacious than all of the other Dallas locations and feels super alive(especially on a Sunday morning). I love the variety of food on the menu, the full bar(with awesome craft beer selections), and the fact that it’s open 24 hours. Their pancakes are delicious, and my husband loves the Bluto. I think the service still needs a little work. I’ve been twice since it opened, and both times it took about 30 minutes for our two breakfasts to come out. It could be situational, as we had the same server both times, but she was pretty terrible both times, hah. Service aside, I am glad Buzzbrews is in my neighborhood now. This will be a frequent brunch spot from now on!

First, I was a Molly McGuire’s fan & I will forever miss it at this location. =( With that being said, I’m a big Buzzbrews fan, as well, and I’m so happy that I can fill the need for my favorite Banana Nut Pancake’s with a side of Crispy Bacon craving right here! I really like everything I’ve ever ordered at Buzzbrews, at every location. I like the layout. I like the atmosphere. I like the décor… with the exception of the booths… not so much. I love that the bar is still the same! I like the wait staff… everyone was really helpful, friendly and attentive. I also like the cleanliness…& this location is close to home. All of these things make me happy & will keep me coming back to this location. ‘Till next time, BB!

Great family place to come and enjoy good food and the great people that work here. Hands down my best place for breakfast & brunch with options for everyone… where you don’t have to break the bank! They also have a wide variety of beer from around the world, sure to gratify any beer palate! Have fun with the menu and try different things every time you come.

Where else can you get pancakes AND beer? Buzzbrews has a diverse menu — everything from breakfast to nachos. I did, indeed, have the pancakes(along with a beer) and they were delicious. The waiter also recommended that on my next visit, I should try to the French Connection(French toast). Regarding drinks, Buzzbrews also has coffee and Italian sodas, which I am looking forward to trying. The only downside I experienced is the service was a little slow. The restaurant was not particularly busy, so the only reason I can think of is that the restaurant is so huge! I am sure the staff spends much of their time traveling from one side of the restaurant to the other. Perhaps they should invest in segways.

When Buzzbrews opened on Central about a decade ago, I knew it for its simple but colorful breakfast menu, bottomless self-serve coffee, quirky diner vibe, and the paucity of seating. They’ve since jazzed up their lunch and dinner menus, and this Lakewood location has a surfeit of seating. I only hope they can fill up the space better than Mecca and Tippery.

Let me just start this off by saying I’m still pissed it’s not the Tipp. And I’ve had Buzzbrews before and I didn’t even like it(garlic marbles? buzzachos? *faceplant*) Well, guess what: I EFFINGLOVEDBUZZBREWS. The improvements on the inside are awesome! They kept the old bar but repurposed it in a way that totally makes sense! Happy hour every day until 7! Happy hour all day every Tuesday! I ordered«right» this time and got the French Connection and I’d have to say it was the best restaurant bite I’d had all week. The meh: The booths are kinda cheesy. Not very comfortable and they look cheap. The chips were greasy greasy greasy. *heart pounding with cholesterol* We were sat in the back room and I’d have to say that the front room would have been much cooler. As would be sitting at the bar. Back room is for suckas. Just like when it was the Tipp/Maguires/Mecca, etc. Still… I’d have to say this is an awesome addition to our ‘hood. We can even get beer there and if you close your eyes you can say«hey, i’m at the Tipp» only with hipster music.

Buzzbrews is now open in Lower Greenville and it is good. This location has quite a different atmosphere than the one on central highway — much larger, swankier. The food is the same fresh, high quality French/Latin modern diner menu. And the service and kitchen was fast even on their first day open.
