La Monumental, the Burguesa Burger equivalent to the Big Mac, is a great combination of the classics double cheeseburger and a tostada. This is truly worth trying!

Great lunch specials. Fries are good, get them spicy. They have a special sauce that is good too. Workers are friendly and quick to greet you. They have a homemade limeade that is tasty with real cane sugar. I usually come by on Tuesdays and I get the 7 dollar bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Good combo for the money and good price compared to the other options in the food court.

People are mainly here for the fries. Yes, the fries are addictive, especially the spicy fries. This review is not about the breakfast. They have tacos and burritos to get your day started but I’m not a huge fan of them. Burguesa won me over with lunch. The burgers are not huge or piled high, unless you get the La Monumental which literally has every ingredient you can think of(ham, tostada, jalapeños, double meat, double cheese). The regular burgers, chicken sandwich, and fish sandwich are tasty and simple. Again, the fries are a hit. They’ve added Carne Asada and chicken fajita tacos and those are actually now my favorite menu item. If you need something sweet, they have churros.

Went here today with a group of work friends. I had never heard of it so I wanted the full experience so I ordered the #1 single patty with the spicy fries. Really good! I didn’t know what to expect from a mexican hamburger. The ham threw me off but it somehow worked. Avocado and bean spread with the toastada made it. Fries come with an awesome sauce that tastes like mayo and chipotle. Friendly service and quick service for making it on the spot. We walked a good bit to get here but it was worth it. Give it a try!

Nothing wrong with the burgers here. The monday/Tuesday combo is a good deal. Wouldn’t bother if I had to pay full menu price.

I got the #3 combo, single patty burger with fries and a drink ~$ 7.50. Honestly burger was nothing to brag about. Small patty that was your normal«mash till cooked through». Bun was a decent sesame one with spicy mayo. I got plenty of spicy fries, and the drink was a your typical fountain variety.

Quick and easy breakfast tacos($ 1.25 each or 3 for $ 3) served up by some friendly folks. They keep the breakfast tacos warm(even after breakfast), so breakfast tacos for lunch is never out of the question.

Damn good burger and fries. If you love burgers and Mexican food then this is the place. They put a bean and guac tostada in the middle of a very juicy burger. Staff is super nice n friendly.

Went to this place because I was hungry and wanted something unique and fast that wasn’t Popeye’s or McDonald’s. The wait is pretty testy — you’ll be waiting for about 8 minutes, but your food is cooked fresh. I got one of those… Pablo’s Pollo — grilled. It was a pretty tasty sandwich. Sizeable but clearly not unforgettable as the only thing I can liken it to is the McDonald’s Chicken McGrill — do they still make those, by the way? The fries were nice, had a nice zing to them and the milkshake was thick and creamy. Comes with a mini donut. Overall I spent about $ 9 to eat, and I would come back. I’ll try something different though.

I can’t believe it took me so long to try Burguesa Burger. I trekked over to the Crystal food court at Renaissance tower and found this postage stamp sized counter tucked between Paradise Bakery and Chick FilA. The footprint for Burguesa is tiny and there is a huge column right in the middle of the area where customers stand to order and wait for their food. This makes for some interesting people shuffling as folks order, get drinks and then wait for their food. I decided to go all in and ordered a La Monumental Combo with the fries a mix of half spicy and half regular. The burger was definitely tasty and comes with two patties, cheese, a tostada with refried beans, lettuce, tomato. Onion, avocado and a creamy sauce. The crunchy tostada was a nice addition to the burger. They definitely did not skimp on the avocado. This probably sounds crazy, but I would have preferred a little bit less avocado. The fries and dipping sauce were excellent. Half and half on spicy and regular fries was perfect for flavor and saltiness. Next time I will definitely try to snag an extra dipping sauce. I was pleasantly surprised to find a little churro flavored fortune cookie shaped like a taco in my bag. Definitely will be back to pick up lunch from Burguesa again soon.

Since my first review, I’ve gone back several times for breakfast. The hash browns are delicious. They’re really greasy but, if you know my reviews, you know that’s what I like! They also have breakfast tacos 3 for $ 1 and those ALWAYS score me major points when I come into work with some extras. I also tried the monumental Jr. as promised. It was good because I like lots of junk on my burger. Still, I think I’ll stick with the chicken. It takes a lot for a burger to be a winner and that chicken was fantastic!

This place is amazing. Best burger in town. The la Monumental is amazing. It’s a bit pricey for a fast food burger but then its a bit better than a fast food burger. The only real problem with this place is how early they close. This is Denton!!! people party every night of the week. A burger place that closes at 7pm on weekdays is probably not going to last to long. OH and don’t waste the extra money on frys there not that great.

No clue why I haven’t written a review for this place sooner. I love it. Fun great burgers on the cheap. Their fries are awesome, I know their secert but I won’t tell, the world just isn’t ready yet. I love their own brand soda’s especially orange and cola. If not that then their limeade. I like getting burgers there«El Jefe’s Way» really a great place for lunch.

yum! i like the kitchen sink approach to burgers. no purist am i. i got the monumental jr.(it’s bikini season, after all) with spicy fries and their house cane sugar cola. pretty tasty, all of it. the unusual elements of tostada, refried beans, avocado and what I thought might be cholula mayo conspired with my cheeseburger and became straight-up delicious. probably shouldn’t eat here every day but it’s a nice option to have on work days.

this is a review based solely on their churros and not their burgers. one day i wanted a churro. i work in the same building and thought, oh man, i bet burguesa has a churro. i venture downstairs and lo-and-behold, they have churros. and these churros, my friends, are to-die-for. they are crisp, cinnamon-y, warm, AND gooey all at the same time. like a cinnamon roll stick, but BETTER. it really is the best 4 o-clock treat if you’re in that area. nothing else can beat it!

Been meaning to try this place for awhile. As I consider myself to be a burger connoisseur, I felt the need to review this place. 1st trip: I started out with a simple Burgesa burger with normal toppings. The creamy sauce they add to it reminds me of spicy mayo. It’s pretty mild however. The burger tastes pretty good, despite it’s size. When you get fries, you have the option of regular or spicy. It also comes with a little container of creamy sauce for dipping. I wasn’t able to finish the fries due to the massive amount they give you. On the next trip I’ll try other things. 2nd trip: Today I tried the la monumental and a vanilla shake. It’s a very strange burger. I don’t think I’ll be able to get used to eating a burger that has ham and a tostada on it. It didn’t taste bad but I probably wouldn’t get it again. The vanilla shake tasted good. For some reason they put a small donut on top of your straw. Interesting! So this place is good for a burger if you have no other options for a «better» burger nearby.

Decent fast food burger. I wish it were a lot spicier. Even the jalapeño that came speared on top was white boy mild. But, La Monumental is big, filling, and pretty inventive. The fries are decent(don’t know if they cut them at this location – they certainly didn’t taste like it). The Limeaid is the shit. Worth four stars all by itself.

It tastes better at work. I was excited when I found out there was a Burguesa Burger within walking distance from my office. It’s sort of hidden but worth the search. I totally got the La Monumental combo. The spicy fries were great. The burger was good. I almost always get avacado on my burger so theirs is among my favs. In case you’re a novice it’s two beef patties, cheese, ham, avacado, bean tostada and the regular fixins. Great burger. And now it’s DOWNTOWN! glee… Combo with spicy fries and a drink is $ 8. Lots of fries, I suggest getting one combo and one sandwich and drink. Split the fries. Or be like me and eat it all!

I was at the Crystal Food Court a few days ago and noticed this little place between the Chick-Fil-a and Paradise Bakery was getting a makeover. I immediately recognized the Burguesa menu painted on the wall behind the counter, but there was no signage yet. I checked the website today and saw that it was definitely going in there and when I arrived, all the signage, drink dispensers and staff were in place. I ordered the #3, the La Monumental combo. I’ve had it a couple of times at the Inwood location and it’s always a good meal. This was the first time I’d gotten the dipping sauce for the fries. It’s very similar to the dipping sauce for the Blooming Onion at Outback Steakhouse. The fries were seasoned with their«spicy» salt and they went well with the sauce. The burger was exactly what I expected with the tostada, refried beans and spicy cream sauce. I didn’t notice the avocado until I was almost finished with the burger. I also tried the house-brand grapefruit soda which had an unexpected kick. The whole combo was a great deal at $ 7.50 and I’m sure I’ll be eating there more often since this location is much more convenient for me. The website posts hours for this location as being 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. I don’t know what kind of breakfast offerings they’ll have, but I intend to check it out soon.
