This place was interesting. The music was very thuggish and the pizza wasn’t quite as good as I’d hoped. The overall flavor was pretty good, but the crust was extra thin and didn’t pull apart into neat pieces. It kind of just fell apart. The flavor was pretty good, though. The beer was great, though. I had the Lakewood Temptress and it was SO good! Love that local brew.

5 stars for the pizza! It is some of the best pizza I have ever had! Rivals Enos in bishop arts! Thin crust with great fresh toppings… And OMG… Jimmys sausage! But DAMNDANIEL. turn the music down a tad! There have been many times we wanted to come here for the food and wonderful beer selections but opted not to because you can not have a conversation over the blasting tunes!!! What? Are u twelve? There are other rooms and patio for rocking out… Maybe cool it a little out front.

I wanted to try something new out in the neighborhood being fairly new to this area and the visit started off alright. Service was positive and food was okay. There seemed to look like there was a decent amount of things to offer as far as entertainment goes. The day I visited was a Wednesday which apparently they advertise as «Half off appetizers –All day», even our server excitedly announced and sold us on. We chose the boneless wings. It stated on the menu as $ 10 so half off would be $ 5 right? Wrong! Long story short, we received the check and saw that our itemized receipt showed that it cost is $ 12 for the boneless wings. We asked the server how this could be and she pulled out every excuse(«maybe because you got the ranch dipping sauce», «maybe because you chose two flavors» — both which she had suggested for us). Nothing made sense in explaining how what was supposed to be a $ 5.00 appetizer turned into more than what the original price was for it in the first place. She also did not suggest adjusting because«Well, our manager isn’t here so we can’t fix anything.» It sounds pretty extreme to say I will never go there again due to a $ 7 difference but the way it was handled and«half off appetizer Wednesday» being a lie… there are plenty of places in Dallas I can go to and this place is literally less than a half block away but this place will not be getting my business again.

Cool dive bar and great location. Bartenders have attitude and so do some wait staff. Ain’t got time to pay money for drinks and attitude. But, gave 2 stars to cool living room type seating area and great back patio.

This place is excellent! While the parking lot is small, don’t let it turn you away. The inside is just what it says– a tavern. A dark and cozy feel with a full bar(no idea if they have tap beer since for once I wasn’t drinking). My friend and I went on a Monday which is half-priced pizzas. Oh my goodness! It was probably the best pizza I have ever had– I would even pay full price for one! We also ordered honey chipotle BBQ wings and medium, as well as chips and queso with beef(they don’t skimp on the meat). Everything was phenomenal! And our waitress was very friendly and attentive. This is a place to come to eat, watch sports and party. There were pool tables, a lounge area and the atmosphere was great. I am so glad I found this place!

well that was the first time this place disappointed. Took some co-workers for dinner, well the food was good, but I was the service was dreadful It was not that busy and the service was really bad. The food was good like always. But the service was very disappointing. «Shorty» was not very attentive, slow on returning to check on us. Really don’t know why it was bad, but it was a swing and a miss this time.

Gah. Since my last review 3 years ago… RIP Matt. I plan on putting BST back in rotation. You can’t beat their ½ price pizza night on Monday’s. Their pizza is delicious. I think it’s the crust. And the toppings. The tavern pizza is great. They use jimmy’s sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and red onions. Deee-licious! Service has been spotty over the years, but the last few visits everyone is nice and friendly. The patio has transformed a lot too, it’s pretty badass.

Daily specials, great pizza, TVTVTV aplenty craft beers, super outside area. Half price pizza Monday’s and dollar off drafts

At first glance, this is not the place you would want to have dinner… it has a bit of a dive bar feel that would make you want to play pool rather than eat a meal. Despite the exterior, Bryan Street manages to serve up some pretty great pizza. Our group of 9 had a variety of starters like the toasted ravioli, soft pretzel and fried pickles. For mains we stuck to pizza and mine(the Lou) was so good. If you want a good pizza and a draft beer other than coors/bud then this place is for you!

Came here on a Saturday to watch our friends band in the small room in the back. Typical neighborhood bar with one person bathrooms, a pool table and a couple arcade games. Nothing remarkable, but like I said, we came here out of support for our friends. And I can dig a laid back casual bar any day. Unfortunately — they totally screwed my boyfriend and overcharged his card by $ 85! Our tab was $ 35 for the two of us. We were there with one other couple. My boyfriend mistakenly left his credit card and before he went to pick it up the following Monday, checked his credit card statement online and saw there was a charge for $ 120. Luckily he still had his receipt. After some investigating they figured out our server had a walked tab and just took it upon herself to charge it to his card. And the couple we were with aren’t really drinkers and they paid their own tab so it was just some strangers! That is not only completely unethical and immoral but makes no sense. Just because you have a walked tab in no way means you can just charge it to another patrons tab! Sorry hun! Typical uptown problems. Can’t comment on the food — the pizza and bloody mary does look delicious though.

Came here for a pub quiz hosted by Geeks Who Drink. Its in a super shady looking spot and the parking lot is full of craters. They stuck us in the back room that looked like it was added on as an after thought. I’m glad we arrived early cause it filled up quickly. We also ordered while it was still slow so our first round d of drinks and munchies came out quickly. But all that changed after it started getting crowded. That and our server just decided to disappear for a good 35 minutes. She was pretty scatter brained and kept bringing us the wrong beers. I’d probably try them again for a pub quiz, but I doubt I would come here just to kick it.

I went here to watch the Mavs game with my girlfriend on a Monday evening. When we first got in, it was a little awkward because no one greeted us. I actually had to go to the bartender and he reassured me that they had waitresses. We went ahead and sat a table and eventually were greeted. We decided to move to the sofas with the big tv. Our hostess was very friendly and checked up on us regularly. It definitely made up for the awkward entrance. Food wise, we got pepperoni/bacon pizza and wings. These were decent choices, not my favorite pizza and wings ever but they were still good. Drink wise, they didn’t have Fireball for some odd reason that the waitress even admitted was weird. She reassured that next time they would have this. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone who wants a chill bar/restaurant to watch sports.

I was in on a Saturday afternoon with a couple friends to watch a game. My tab was $ 33.56 and I tipped $ 6– then accidentally put the total as $ 69.56. The waitress, Bre then entered the tip as $ 36 ! More than my total tab! Even though I wrote the tip as $ 6. I have contacted the bar and the management became irate. I will never go back here(obviously). Patrons beware !

They call themselves dive but I don’t think it’s a dive. Either way, I had a great time in the second room where there usually a band playing. It’s always nice to see bands playing song they composed or anything other than Pour some sugar… When you walked in this place, the smell of freshly baked pizza lingers around and you just can’t help and want to get your hands on one of it. Unfortunately, we just ate someplace. It would now be the ultimate goal to comeback and try those good smelling food.

This is a nice, cozy watering hole. The staff is all super nice. It’s not divey, it’s just very chill. I’ve been there twice now: once for Sunday football, and last nite for karaōke. I gotta say I’ve enjoyed myself thoroughly both times. If you wanna watch TV there’s nice comfy couches on one side, pool tables on the other and tables/bar in between. There’s a back room for events/karaōke and a big back patio to chill on… this is a nice little place. I can walk here from my place, which is always a plus. The food is standard bar stuff, but it’s done very well. I had a pizza once, because they were on special. The pizza was delicious. Last night I had the peanut butter pie for dessert. it was awesome. The pie was in he middle of the plate with chocolate sauce drizzled all over it and whipped cream on the side. Yummy! The staff is so helpful and kind… good job guys!

A secret bar hidden near ross, off of Bryan street. They have a small parking lot, with current construction along the premises. This makes for an unexpected chill night. The place was comfortable and dive feeling. Well this place is a dive joint. Pizzas are delicious, multiple beers on draft, and lots of seating. There was only one server all night, so it made getting orders a bit of a wait. This is a great casual place to hang with buds for munchies and brew. Two pool tables and billiards for those that need other entertainment or just like trying to beat others in a friendly match. They are quarter tables btw, gotta pay to play. Overall a good time there. Got full on good stone baked pizza and craft beers.

This is not a four star dining establishment– not even close. Based on our visit, it is an overpriced neighborhood dive bar, with nothing special or unique to offer. We had our maiden visit here on a Wednesday night, hoping for some 0.25 wings and pizza, the most raved about items in Unilocal. No special on wings tonight? Fine. We ordered 10 medium wings($ 11) and a 14″ veggie pizza($ 4). $ 7 for a local draft beer? No, thanks. The wings were tiny and overcooked, with nary a trace of moisture to the meat. The pizza was serviceable, with crispy crust and unremarkable ingredients. Well, at least the service was… slow. We were forgotten about for long periods of time, like the 20 minutes between when we ordered and got food(it was not a busy night, about 25% full), or the 30 minutes after we had finished eating. Will we return? I think not. To those of you who like this place– tell me why, please?

Bryan Street Tavern is a small neighborhood bar located in the Knox-Henderson area. What I like most about this place is that they show games but have hip hop in the background. There is a mixed variety of people that come here, from hippies to corporate casual types. I saw that they have shuffleboard and air hockey. I didn’t get a chance to play this time. I’ve read previous reviews and they rave about the pizza so I went for it. I order the LOU. Very very very good. It had that authentic brick stone taste. They also have a bunch of different beers on tap. They also have an app that you can download too, I thought that was a nice touch. Anyway, Check this place out. It’s a great sports/dive bar. I’ll be back here soon enough!

If it’s wasn’t for Geeks Who Drink– we wouldn’t have been at this place Saturday night. It’s old east Dallas so I find it a bit sketchy at best after dark. They packed us into a back room and joining patio for the Marvel trivia. I think there was one waitress for the inside and one for out– plus one chick tailing everyone because she was in training. I had low expectations for the food and I was pleasantly surprised. The pretzel was tasty, the pizza was pretty good and the burger I snagged a bit of was delicious. It feels like a dark, dingy neighborhood bar. If this was my hood, I’m sure I’d be in here every now and again. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Not sure why I haven’t reviewed BST before, because I’ve been coming here for years. Bryan Street Tavern(BST) is solid choice. I’ve familiar with all the east Dallas sports bars. And this is one of the best options in the neighborhood. Bryan Street has plenty of sports fans that gather for the local teams. The atmosphere during a Cowboys or Mavs game is insane. It’s great for private watching parties with your friends and/or co-workers. It’s easy to get caught up in the madness. One thing that makes it better than some of the other options is the food. I’m a big fan of their pizza and the hot wings. My fav pizza is the Waylon and Chipolte BBQ for my wings. Matter fact, just writing this makes me hungry. If you’re thirsty for a tasty beverage, they have a larger than average amount of beers on tap. They are not a brew house, but they seem to have a good rotation of draft beers. Bryan Street also has a couple pool tables, shuffle board and AIRHOCKEY! So bring a pocket of quarters and your friends. Someone is going to have a good time. When the weather isn’t too cold or hot, BST has one of the best patios with 2 Jenga tables. Parking is available close the the building, on the street and across the street. Bottom line. Bryan Street has tasty bar food, friendly bar staff and patrons. I’m happy every time I step foot inside of this friendly spot.
