Visitors from Boston — could not have been treated better. Staff, especially our waitress(Emily?), made us feel like locals and it was the best night of our stay. Great food, great drinks, perfect atmosphere. Absolutely recommend!

So a group of us went here to have a few drinks. It was alright. The crown and coke were weak… Yeah too much coke, waitress! While we were playing games, the rude waitress came up to my brother and said«you didn’t leave me a tip» & demanded she get one because she doesn’t serve for free. My brother said she was being rude and then she yelled«Get out!» Yeah, how nice of her huh? We ALWAYS tip but her horrible attitude… She does not deserve a tip! Yeah we know how much you get pay but you don’t walk up to customers and«demand» a tip! Sure call the cops if we didn’t pay our bill but demanding a tip? Gtfo! Yeah I’m NEVER coming back here again. If you want a rude waitress who was hardly there and gives ya coke, be my guest. Most disrespectful place I’ve ever been to! TERRIBLE! Do not come here!

We waited for twenty minutes on a Saturday at three o clock. It was not busy. We got no service. Just a passing glance from the waitress. Ok let’s try going to the bar ourselves. We waited for another ten while the bartender served everyone else who came up to the bar. Now aside from the fact that we were four black women and the only people of color at the bar, I cannot for the life of me understand why we weren’t waited on. We asked the errant waitress for service and she turned to the bartender and told him to take our drink order. He angrily responded, «can you get some more help» and never asked us for our order. He then proceeded to walk to the other end of the bar to wait on some customers WHOHADJUSTWALKEDUP! I could’ve sworn that this was 2016 and we had progressed beyond the Whites Only signs, but not at Barcadia.

Great bar, great food, great patio — the fried deviled eggs were the best deviled eggs I’ve ever had in my life. The place is very vegetarian/vegan friendly(we had the loaded veggie dog!) and our two big dogs were very comfortable on the crowded patio. Great spot, take off a star for extra long kitchen service time, but otherwise awesome!

Barcadia is one of the many bars lining the Henderson side of Knox-Henderson. For me, one of the highlights are the sets of giant Jenga set up on the outside patio. Corny, yes. But also a lot of fun. The drinks are cheap — it costs me only $ 6 for a rum & coke. Like most bars, the music is loud and most people talk louder to counteract that fact, only worsening the problem. Don’t expect any mind-tingling, skin-chilling, life-altering conversations, but do expect to enjoy yourself with a stiff drink and a rousing game of giant Jenga.

So I went to this place not very long ago with my girlfriend and another couple. And it was very reminiscent of a place that we used to love,(before rocky sold it) called Pop Diner. Except the games weren’t free. But that’s cool, what’s a few quarters for a good time(right). They have some local brews on tap which is always a good thing. Prices are very fair and maybe even lower than the average bar. Staff was awesome, was not hungry when I went(silly me) so did not try any food items but even without trying any food I am giving this establishment a in my book.

Horrible people. Mediocre bar. Terrible experience. The staff is aggressive to the point of violence, even the DJ. The food is bad, and the drinks are weak. Kung Fu has all the games I want, and I’ve never feared for our group’s safety there. We got out as quickly as possible, and will never go back.

I love this place! I’m not sure why other reviews state that is overrated. It’s complete ability to under rate is what makes it unique. They give zero fuxx about being trendy or hip. The games are fun. The crowd isn’t douchey or weird. Butters is slanging excellent drinks all the time! The food is perfect for pigging out. It will always be my favorite place on Henderson. The patio is large and very dog friendly, and the happy hour specials and fun twist on events makes it comfortable and not in the least pretentious.

What a great place! I came here last night with my best friend because she had heard great things about their Tuesday night deal. They have free games(except for ski ball, but that’s 25 cents per play). I’m not sure what the other deals are for the other days, but go on Tuesday for free games! We had long islands, loaded fries and fried Oreos from here. Everything tasted amazing and the games were a lot of fun, especially Jenga. Our waitress was attentive and polite, really took care of us since it was our first time there. There’s inside and outside seating and great music. I definitely recommend this place for a fun night out with good company! :)

The website definitely implies a lot more is going on here than it is. Really its a very small bar… the games are just a few stand alone arcade things. Not many. The«giant jenga» is just some basic boards from any home depot and stands less than 2 ft high off the table. The service takes forever. The food isn’t great(although they do give you a lot of it). If they ask you how you want ur burger, realize that they’re all going to come out exactly the same regardless. They were out of juice when I went there too. It was just a major disappointment. Even the tables inside were more like folding tables than real tables. So not with the trip. Pretty much any bar you go to will be nicer. Unless you just really really want to play pac man, there’s no reason to drive even slightly out of your way for this place.

The food is what lands Barcadia on Henderson on the map. The arcade selection was«meh» but the staff were very nice and the happy hour specials(both food and drink) were well worth it. Back to the food: it’s definitely at the high end of bar food. It’s still bar food, and I wouldn’t put them up against a sit-down restaurant, but it’s really good bar food. I ordered the mini-cheeseburgers, and *they asked me how I wanted the burgers cooked*. That just doesn’t happen at bars, or so I thought; it happened here, and they were perfectly cooked to a heavy medium-rare. The fries are very thin, so it’s pretty much all«outside»(the fried layer). You don’t get much body /potato-meat to them. Both the regular fries and sweet potato fries are very good. The red onions on the burgers weren’t sharp-tasting at all; they were a zesty sweet.

Bland grilled cheese. Needed salt, or seasonings of some sort. Fries were good. Decent selection of beer. Nice bar staff who look like fancy wallpaper(tattooed). Video games were tired(what do I expect? They’re from 1975 after all!). Bathroom was disgusting, paper everywhere. Sticky tables. Lots of guys playing foosball while their dates stood around looking bored. If was fun sitting on the deck watching everyone pile into Über mini-vans! Great place to see a nice selection of panties(gentlemen would let the ladies sit in front seat while they climbed into the back, but these were the same guys playing foosball while ignoring their dates). Oh yeah, and $ 5 to valet, so that he can park my car 10 feet from the valet stand. Uh, I can do that myself, ya know. And don’t forget to tip him! It’s also fun to watch pixels grow and shrink on the tv while watching basketball — that’s how I like my basketball, like stop action animation!

My wife and I took a weekend trip to DFW and decided on a whim to visit Barcadia; what a gem! From the moment we entered the cozy arcade/bar, we were served excellent beer, delicious food & fantastic cocktails by a friendly & attentive waitstaff. I’m a fan of arcade games, and Barcadia delivers, with Mortal Kombat, TMNT, Simpsons, Rampage WT, and a multicade, to name a few. If you find yourself in the DFW area, do yourself a favor and check these guys out.

I’m a fan! This place has booze and old school arcade games. I wasn’t really into arcade games as a kid but I had a lot of fun here. This is a place you can come for a date, with friends, or just by yourself. The bartenders were nice and most of the machines only required one quarter to operate. I came on a Wednesday night and even though it wasn’t packed, it does get pretty full. Therefore, I recommend coming on a weekday so you actually get a chance to play or else you will be waiting and bumping into a lot of people as you play. Will I be back? YES

Barcadia drinks prices are prices you could afford to buy a lot of drinks and get shit face. I’d hang out around here any day over overpriced Uptown. The crowd was down to earth and real. There were all kinds of cool folks. Their patio was awesome, too. The frozen moscow mule was soo good and so dangerous because it was like drinking a slurpee. I got carried away with those because it didn’t taste like alcohol. Oh man, let’s end this review. I don’t want to think about the alcohol I drank last night and barf.

I usually come here at nights and it’s always packed but today I decided to switch it up and go during the day time for some day drinking. First off the environment was awesome. The bartenders are very attentive to the patrons and make sure that you drink stays full. The drinks are fairly priced and during the day make sure you take advantage of the happy hour specials. I especially liked the fact that they had quite a few local beers on tap. The games are retro and every game inside the bar costs $.25 cents. That is awesome. There are. It a lot of arcades around nowadays so if you like booze and if you like games then this is a good spot to be. I’m conning back for sure.

I came here on Friday night with my husband and a friend from out of town. My friend actually found Barcadia because they had options for her(vegetarian) and her fiancé(vegan). It was great because my husband and I could still eat normal entrees. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: Apps: Loaded cheese fries. Entrees: Barcadia Burger with chips and queso & Grilled Cheese and fries Dessert: Deep fried Oreos. The cheese fries were good. I loved the globs of cheese, jalapenos and bacon. We scraped the glob of sour cream off of the top. With the sides of ranch, it was just not needed. My grilled cheese was delicious! I loved the Texas toast and the variety of cheese and tomato. However, my French fries were not cooked all the way through. They were extremely greasy and limp. Ew. My hubby did not care for the burger. Because it was stuffed, he said that it fell apart each time that he took a bite. Also, the queso lacked flavor. The deep fried Oreos were interesting. I am glad that we tried them because I have always been curious. But, I was expecting a crunch from the cracker, and instead it was pretty soggy. I am glad we split it between the four of us. All in all, Barcadia is a cool place. They have a fun atmosphere with TV’s, Arcade games, life size jenga boards, etc. I would suggest coming here for drinks and apps and skip the food.
