The wait for a table is completely unspeakable. Tables are community tables where people will fight you for a seat at the same table, and you won’t even know them, can’t come here with a group of friends or family because you all will be at different tables. Food took over 45 mins to arrive and people sat way after us were getting their food way before. The cook must not be very organized here. I’m sure this is a locals favorite place but for visitors, you won’t feel welcomed here. Definitely think twice about coming here if you are already hungry. The food was just ok. I have had just as good food at Waffle House to be honest. I will not be coming to this establishment again. Unless that is, if they have days where everything is free, which then it will be worth it.

Went here for lunch around noon time and place is a bit congested with tables and chairs so close. Definitely gives the good down home southern feel that way though! Food and service was tremendous. Tried the fried green tomatoes which was delish. My fiancée got the Philly cheesesteak which she really enjoyed as they make it more their own style with bacon and two different kinds of cheeses. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that was cooked perfectly still moist and full if flavor. My sister tried the BLT which seemed to be the other generic thing and a side of black eyed peas. We all tasted the beans and would order them again. Even my one year old nephew enjoyed tasting from all of our plates. Great little place with great food and big sweet tea cups!

It’s a good restaurant food is good had a hamburger and fries for breakfast you get charged $ 0.20 more for extra onion which i think is ridiculous the waitress was wonderful I think they’re just micro managed by the owners. I would come back again I would like to try the fried chicken Thursday I heard its really good.

Had lunch on Saturday and they were busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Food and service was good, but I was disappointed with the menu. I was expecting more southern dishes but found the same menu that I would have found at anywhere. We will return.

We go here after church occasionally. Last time after church me and my daughter sat waiting on my husband to join us. When he came in 15 minutes later is when we were greeted and then offered drinks. Had to wait and ask another waitress for a menu because me and my daughter wasn’t sure what we wanted to eat. The food is great I have no complaints there, but the service really needs attention some of the waitresses are too busy chitchatting with other guest rather than paying attention to new ones. I have lived here all my life, I know this is a small restaurant where everybody knows everybody but common courtesy should be exercised.

Great country cookin’ with great service. Thursdays are fried chicken special, which is alright(you don’t get to pick which pieces you want). Veggies are excellent. We also have the onion rings with the special sauce; which were fantastic. The burgers and country fried steak are excellent too. Seating is often limited during standard eating hours, so recommend going early.

As a big fan of locally owned, home spun restaurants and southern food, I found this place to be off the charts. I’ll guess the place seats 35 – 40, complete with decent rest rooms around back. The building has enough parking and is suitably quaint with a collection of old local stock car photos hanging on the wall. I’m told the owners used to run a local stock car track up the road. Arriving at 11:30AM we were able to find a seat with no problem. I ordered country fried steak with fried cabbage and green beans and my associate ordered the patty melt. The steak(6 ounces I guess) was breaded and fried to perfection. I ordered it covered with the white gravy, of course. Fried cabbage you ask? I did too. It’s boiled cabbage tossed in with sautéed onions and real bacon bits tossed on a hot iron grill. Even if you don’t like cabbage this one will change your mind. The green beans probably were tuned up canned beans based on the texture but they were flavored very well. The order came with a one inch thick piece of buttered Texas toast grilled till slightly brown and crispy. $ 7.99. The patty melt came on similar Texas toast and looked to be a hand made patty with cheese and an ample order of fries. I didn’t try it but the looks and the associate review were outstanding as well. $ 6.99. We skipped any drinks and were out the door for $ 18.00 with tip. The hours according to the sign are 6:30AM to 3:00PM Monday through Thursday, 6:30 to 8:00 on Friday with all you can eat fried fish, and 6:30 to 2:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
