I choose pretty much everywhere I shop or pay for services based mostly on customer service. I have been to this location multiple times in the past and was satisfied with my results. Highlights and a trim aren’t very difficult. My most recent visit was last week. I arrived 15 minutes early to wait 45 minutes to be asked to start the process. Apparently hairdressers now double book clients like doctors! My hairdresser(Tierra) was working on THREE people at one time, while taking multiple breaks in between. Over 4 hours later I was walking out the door. If I wanted this type of service I might as well go to a training school because it takes the same amount of time but at least they are only focused on my head of hair and not multiple other people and it’s half the costs. Tierra is very sweet and kind but as a working mother my time is valuable.

First color by Tierra was $ 48, and this service does not come with a blow dry and she did not follow the formula given by my hairdresser from SF. She added gold and my hair is ashy blonde. But for $ 48 I forgave her. But then the second time in TIERRA did the same thing but she also did 4 foils of brown. She did not match the colors in my hair or the pattern at all and no blow dry. Then she overcharged me! $ 120 later and I reach out to her. We decided I might come back in and use up the $ 30 credit. But then I decided, TIERRA is not good for my hair. I have called for 6 months about my refund and TIERRA never returns my calls, ducks and dodges me over $ 30. I did catch her once and TIERRA denied overcharging as she couldn’t recall the services and she still believes she cut my hair, which she did not. TIERRA is absolutely awful and a fraud. I know I will never get the money back for her shoddy services. If you care about your hair go elsewhere. BEWARNED!

Only used 1 stylist — Mandy Smith. She rocks! No matter what I want done she always gets it right. I change my hair often and she is so flexible. I always have perfect hair. Thanks for putting up w/my antics Mandy :)

Look, I just want you to know what you are getting if you have Kate who is from Headrush near Buford Mall. She injured my neck by pulling so hard on my neck while working with my hair, jerking it back over and over. I’m sure she is a nice person, but she needs more training. She needs to develop more empathy for the person and how she touches them feels. If Tabatha walked in on her working, she’d freak! Go back to school, Kate and work at it this time, please. I do think you have potential.

One of the most daring and scariest thing to do is salon«jumping» to test out the services… I did a brave thing, actually i just took one for the team. i sacrificed my comfort zone from van micheals to colorzone in dacula??? wth was i doing there? thanks to all the googling which landed me onto some google reviews, all 13 of them that has been there for ages… of how great this place was. never again will i trust another outside of Unilocalers. i just won’t trust outsiders again nor will i stray… anyways, so i had a guy name Dustin, a color specialist… really nice dressing guy… covered in roberto cavalli button up top and cowboy boots. not too shabby. we had a bit of talk about the color that i wanted and i wanted something different, but i ended up with a bright copper with reddist tint to my black hair. it stood out like a copper wire… turns out, the same color used for my boss’s hair. not cool! then on with the cut. i had a picture with me of an ideal hair cut and he said he could so do that… i came out looking all homely with copper wire hair. although i have to admit that i looked much better coming out then coming it. it was scary. so since he was nice, i gave him a nice tip and would send out references for him etc… i wasn’t thrilled with the color and cut but i was happy that it wasn’t what it was before. it hit me the next day that i had copper wire and a 5 year old school girl hair cut that was supposed to look fierce. i didn’t cry but i was mad. then i noticed this burning sensation all over my head and my sideburns… and my ears… apparently when he left me under the dryer… he left me there a bit too long so i had a slight burn on my head which consisted of 4 days of burning itching sensation… then the peeling… this is a color specialist for colorzone in dacula, ga name Dustin. folks. beware.
