They were outside HEB on Tuckerton and Fry, so I bought a few pounds. Flavor was very good. I appreciated the fact there weren’t chunks of garlic and oil and everything else that other restaurants ‘flavor’ their crawfish with. Corn and sausage was really good also. I think they could have soaked a few minutes longer but other than that it was great. I’ll definitely buy again!

I saw them outside HEB and finally decided to try them out. I’m from Louisiana so I’m pretty skeptical of crawfish because they never seem to have much flavor in Texas, but I was pretty impressed with the flavor of these. My mouth had some nice heat after finishing them off. I’m only taking off one star because they were a little on the smaller side. But either way I was impressed with the flavor which is most important to me.

So we actually saw the food truck outside of HEB off of Mason Rd. It was cold out but when we saw the truck, our mouths started watering. So we thought just to give it a try. So on the window there was a sign stating $ 45 for I think 4 – 5 pounds of crawfish and includes corn and potatoes. Apparently they ran out of everything buy crawfish. So we got 5 pounds. OMG it was SALTY. It was so salty that we had to dump the crawfish out and rinse it under water at the sink with a colander. Even rinsing out, it was still salty, thought we were going to have a heart attack. but I don’t think I will go back again.

I hate to write bad reviews. But I felt that I needed to review this place. The crawfish size was good(medium to large). The pricing was not bad either, I think it was 3 pounds for $ 21? I went to heb wanting to get their boiled crawfish but at this location they have Who Dats Crawfish instead. I brought home the crawfish and once I started eating it, I knew it tasted strange but I wanted to finish and not waste money. Not even 2 hours later, my stomach was not feeling well. And that night was horrific, I had food poisoning. The pains were so bad that I almost wanted to go to the hospital. I learned my lesson and only to stick with crawfish places that I know of.

We have tried it 4 times. Crawfish sits in boil too long. Mushy. Expensive. Also, I paid for 2lbs of shrimp this last time and only got 1 lb. Shrimp were bland and very dry-over cooked. I really like their other food when they have cajun plates when it’s not crawfish season but for what they are known for… no good.
