Suzubeez Cakes N Sweetz

I Dont know if it’s me or what but I have lost so much respect for this place… I have spent so much money at this bakery and to get nothing but the worst customer service and then I called to speak to the owner and was told she couldn’t come to the phone but it’s ok when I’m making payments on cakes and spending money to write checks for the workers I really need to find another bakery because I’ve had it with this place… I never had this problem when they were on 1960!!! They just lost a great customer.

Thank you for the beautiful and delicious Whataburger cake you created for my husbands birthday. It was perfect and everyone loved it.

I buy cupcakes there every few weeks for my open houses and so far I’ve had a great experience. Even bought 36 cupcakes for my son’s birthday party and they were pretty and tasted good, not sure what else I could ask for!

Very disappointed. Came to try the macaroons but service was dismal. I could hardly get a hello when I walked in the door, only hard unwelcoming stares from the two associates. The place was empty, and I think I know why…
Two stars, because maybe their cupcakes are good.(??) I’ll give them the benefit of doubt.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I previously ordered two birthday cakes for my daughter’s 2^nd birthday parties and she did a wonderful job. They turned out exactly like the pictures that I took to the shop when I ordered the cakes. This past weekend I hosted a baby shower and didn’t hesitate to order the cake from here. I ordered the cake via email/​phone. I sent a copy of the shower invitation for her to go by for the decorations. It turned out ok, but not as cute as the birthday cakes that I ordered from her before. BUT, that was not the biggest problem I had with the cake. As I was cutting the cake, I noticed that there was outer crust in internal slices. Upon inspection of the cake, it appeared that she used scraps to form the bottom layer of the cake. I’m sorry, but if you are paying $ 80 for a sheet cake you shouldn’t get «scraps». Also, there was almost more icing than cake. I have gotten a better product from a grocery store. The

First of all, I came in to make a request to make a cake for my sister’s birthday. I was recommended to come here based on another bakery that could not do a shape cake (Take the Cake). Since it wasn’t that far, I decided to make a drive down here.
Now I know I didn’t have an appointment, but the place was completely empty and the cake designer refused to come out to even say hi. Instead the cashier went back and forth when I had questions regarding the particular design I wanted.
In any rate since I never heard of this place, I decided that I would taste the 2 (one red and one white) cupcakes to get an idea of how the cake would taste. This is before I even looked at Unilocal which was a bad idea because I would have saved $ 3.25 per cupcake. Both cupcakes were so dry it wasn’t even funny they were literally crumbling into pieces before it even reached my mouth. I was so upset that I was given poor service and then on top of that paid for the sorriest cupcakes I had ever tasted (I could have gone to Crave at that price). That I decided I would not make my cake with them.
I hope this company fixes there dry cupcake situation cause clearly I’m not the only one that feels this way. Otherwise, don’t serve cupcakes at all.

Second time I tried this place. First time I bought 3 cupcakes in the display and they were dry. This time ordered them and they were worse. Unable to even pick them up because they crumbled. Extremely dry and looked like I made them at home. Kroger does better. Look at my picture and see what you think. Worth $ 40 a dozen?

We love Suzy Beez! Great creative flavors — we have ordered custom cupcakes for a gender reveal (pumpkin spice — amazing). Tried the PB&J today and loved it too!

Suzybeez is an excellent store. They are good at what they do and the owners and their family are extraordinary people. While it is true that the instore service is lacking, it is not enough to feel uncomfortable or to make you feel like you can’t come back. The ladies I believe are just inexperienced and they try to do their jobs, and the succeed. Right now, around the holidays, is the best time to go in! They’ve got such an awesome selection of goodies that I want to purchase everyday, and now that I live in that neighborhood, it’s going to be difficult to lose the weight I want to lose. Just try it.

Good in store selection. Moody service every time! Love the cannolis and put up with lack customer service for them. Ordering a cake from them is a mistake. Overpriced and overrated cakes. But those cannolis keep me coming back! Also, around thanksgiving they have delicious last minute pies available for pick up. You can also order in advance of course. They have moved to Huffmeister rd.

Very friendly service! It really excites me that they’ve moved closer to me recently. Very good selection of cupcakes, cake truffles, brownies, iced sugar cookies & much more! I have to say my all time favorite have to be pineapple upside down, & cheesecake cupcakes. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve never had a bad cupcake yet from here. I have purchased cupcakes here multiple times over the past few years and have always been satisfied. My favorites have been the peaches and cream as well as the orange cupcake. Definitely worth a trip to pick up an after work treat.

My uncle had told me that he’d eaten here before and didn’t care for it and thought my cupcakes were better. Believing he was totally just being nice I told myself one day I would come in and format my own opinion. So we ate next door and after some seafood we stopped here to give it a try. I ordered the strawberry cupcake with strawberry icing. Boy was this cupcake dry. And the icing was Soooo sweet I couldn’t even eat all of it, and believe me I have a huge sweet tooth. At 3 bucks a pop I expected it to at least be moist. I’ll never stop by here again, there are bakeries a dime a dozen in Houston. I can’t believe I went back in to ask for a card with a stamp… but that was before tasting it. Oh well. At least the cashier was helpful though. Bottom line, over priced for dry cupcakes and even if they were cheaper, it wasn’t worth it. Try smallcakes which is just down the street.

I have enjoyed my experiences every time I visited. Their cupcakes are well decorated. I like the key lime flavor. They have delicious strawberry macarons.

I love Suzybeez desserts! It’s a cute little shop. The frosting they use is the best I’ve tasted thus far! Cupcakes are always moist! I used to be a die hard «Sprinkles & Crave» fan until Suzybeez came in my life lol. I gave them 4 stars (I was leaning more towards 3.5) due to customer service. I come here very often and here and there I get someone at the counter with a slight attitude problem. Usually, I would never return to a business after dealing or feeling unappreciative in being there. But the cupcakes are so good!

My wife n I have used Suzy’s for both work n family events. We’ ve always been very happy with the service and the cakes. I understand others may have different standards n experiences but for us we r happy

After doing some comparison shopping for specialty cakes I stopped into Suzybee’s just to get a quote on a cake. I made the right decision. I was greeted right away two very nice young ladies. I had already designed what exactly I wanted my cake to look like and within seconds of seeing my rendering, one of the ladies said they could absolutely do what I wanted. I was pleased with the service and price I was quoted so placed my order on the spot.
Several days later when I picked up my cake I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of their work. My guests all complimented how good the cake was and how the frosting was not overly sweet. I had ordered a ¼ sheet and the cake is taller than other ¼ sheets you normally see. You definitely get your money’s worth.
As the other reviews have stated they sell cupcakes and other sweets on a walk-​in basis. They even have sugar-​free! I will recommend Suzybee’s to anyone who has a cupcake craving or cake need in the NW area.

I am picky about cupcakes and I think that Suzybee’s does it right. Great amount of frosting/​cupcake ratio, and the icing is not too sweet as to overpower the cupcake but still delicious. The cake is moist and made me want more. I had the chocolate with buttercream cupcake and the one that looks like a ho-​ho (can’t remember it’s name) and they were both delicious. We had the cake balls, too. They were okay, but very small and a little too sweet for my taste. I will definitely be back, though, because those cupcakes are calling my name.
The girl behind the counter wasn’t super friendly, but she wasn’t rude and that’s not all that important if they make a great product. I plan to try one of their decorated birthday cakes on my son’s next birthday. Definitely a fan.

Disappointingly bland cupcakes and high prices to boot. The flavor selection and presentation of their confections was so enticing that we stopped in after lunch one day for a treat. Boooo! Wish we hadn’t wasted our time or money. On top of the mediocre cupcakes, the person behind the counter seemed to be rushing us as we made our decision, which was both annoying and rude. There was no one else in the place… what’s the hurry!!!
Needless to say we will go elsewhere next time… maybe even to the grocery store for a box of Duncan Hines which would be far superior!

I used my LivingSocial voucher to order a birthday cake for a friend – I got a 8-​inch 2-​layer cake (red velvet), with butter cream frosting, added a layer of mini cupcakes to top it off (carrot), all decorated in white, purple, and yellow. IT LOOKED AMAZING!!! With the cake, the base was white, had alternating purple/​yellow fondant balls on the edge, they wrote «Happy Birthday» on the side, the cupcakes were alternating in purple or yellow frosting, and it was all finished with edible glitter! I was impressed!
I ordered the cake via e-​mail, and Kristyna did an awesome job working with what I wanted. Plus = staff there is very polite and nice.
Unfortunately, there were some downsides – they did not have a box to fully fit the cake in, so we had to make a large box out of 2 small boxes, then tape them together. Also, the cake and cupcakes was on the dry side as well.
For me, the presentation of the cake was what impressed me the most, however taste was lacking!
