JCPenney Salon

Nice place, but the hair stylist has no experience, I went there for hair cut and she just touching my hair, here and there. Will never coming back.

Great prices, great staff, clean salon. I will definitely be going back!

Do not be fooled by the other 5 star reviews this salon has.
I am very particular about my hair cuts — I have to be, because my hair is thick and wavy, and the wrong cut gives me that ugly, bushy, triangular look. But I digress. Anyhow, I was low on money and desperately needed a hair cut, so I decided to give this place a chance since it had all 5 star reviews. I STILL regret the fact that I did that.
I don’t recall my stylist’s name, but I explained that I wanted absolutely as little as possible trimmed, because I am trying to grow my hair out after a failed short hair cut experiment. I only wanted the split ends gone, plus a tiny bit of layering in the very front by my face, for a bit of style. I even showed her a picture of –exactly– what I wanted.
Instead, I got SEVERAL inches cut off, my cut did not resemble the picture whatsoever, and she turned my hair back into that ugly, bushy, triangular look because she did not know how to work with my hair type. I went home and sobbed for about an hour. This happened a couple months ago, and I am still so upset recalling it. And my hair still sucks because I don’t want a centimeter cut off in an attempt to fix it, because she already cut off so much.
I will never go back to any JC Penney’s salon, not even if you paid me.

I was inspired to try out JCPenney’s Salon by the previous review.
I was 100% satisfied and fully intend to return to have Eddette cut my hair again. I have very thick hair and most stylists just grab a handful and start chopping away. She instead took her time and cut very precisely while having a pleasant conversation with me about our families, Christmas, etc. I didn’t provide her with much direction (because I didn’t know myself) except how I like to wear my hair. She cut to a length she thought would look best and it turned out great.
It’s going to be nice to not be afraid when it’s time for another haircut!

I’ve been moving around a lot lately but I always find myself at a JC Penney salon! The stylists are always professional, highly skilled, and really fun! Its not a stuffy place, you really meet great people here! And you will walk out looking amazing! I always get looks when I’m walking out of the store! It’s as if people didn’t realize how great the salon is here!
I’m a regular here! My stylist is Julia and she’s really great! Sundays are best because its not a lot of people. :-)
