Cypress Breakfast house is a decent local breakfast joint. Nothing fancy, just your basic/average breakfast fair. I would definitely rather go here than a chain restaurant, but the food is nothing spectacular. The place gets packed on weekend mornings so be prepared for a wait. Friendly staff. I will return since there aren’t a lot of local breakfast spots to choose from in Cypress, but I wish they had better biscuits!

So still love this place it’s our go to place if we don’t feel like fighting IHOP. But lately it’s been so busy here! It’s super hard to find parking because there’s other businesses in the strip. I would love to see them upgrade their space so that parking isn’t a hassle and there’s more dinning space for the business they receive.

The absolute best breakfast place in Cypress! Try the Benedict Buenos, you won’t regret it!

Our favorite breakfast place with tasty coffee. The coffee stays on the table so you can pour refills when you are ready. Tried the breakfast burrito which was delicious. I also enjoy the banana pecan pancakes. Wait time can be long sometimes, but if you go early you may just beat the crowd. This place stays busy.

Drove here from Cinco Ranch in Katy. Service was nice and staff was friendly and sweet. Got a mexican dish and it was tasty but I will try something else next time. Coffee was waaaaaaaaay better than Denny’s.

I really like this place. The staff is freindly and nice. They make you feel comfortable when your with a group or alone. I love their basic breakfast which they cooked perfectly — crunchy potatoes, bacon perfect crunch, eggs not overcooked, toast just right-yum! I was there at lunch one day and got their tuna sandwich. You get a lot and the mix is different but good! Btw the iced tea is really great and they give you a pitcher of it. Then, give you a to go cup with the leftovers! It is less jam packed during the weekdays. Weekends can be super crowded.

I came here with my mom for breakfast and had a very pleasant experience. We had about a 15 minutes because it was so busy but the service was fast so no complaints. Our server was very nice as well. I ordered a chocolate milk and the stuffed French toast, which is a French toast with a cream cheese and fruit filling. The French toast was really good, I loved the fruit filling but it was loaded with too much cream cheese filling.

Cypress Breakfast House was a hit with the locals the moment they opened their doors. It’s good country style breakfast food, the basics done well, not fancy, but not nasty either. This is by no means a greasy spoon. Your tummy is satisfied but not exploding as you leave their doors, helpless to the urge to smile blissfully. The coffee here is great, too. My only complaint is the hours — they need to stay open later, like much later, especially on weekends. Breakfast all day and night is a thing in the great U S of A, and has been for some time. Legend has it that during the lead up to the Revolutionary War, a young Patriot in Philadelphia dining at a fine establishment drew scorn from some British regulars by ordering a feast of eggs sunny side up, hash browns, buttered toast, biscuits and gravy, and a short stack on the side, all at 10 p.m., to the horror and disgust of the Red Coats. That hero annihilated his meal with great relish, washing it down with a weak cup of American java, heartily laughing and swearing«To hell with your customs!» all the while in the face of his armed adversaries. He was an inspiration for Thomas Paine, perhaps. Finally, I’ll say this to the negative reviewers: your troubles lie not with Cypress Breakfast House, but with chicken and waffles. That combination is an unholy alliance in direct contravention of the laws of the Great Creator of the Universe, as sinful and unclean a union as Sodom and Gomorrah, nuts and bubble gum, Sonny and Cher, or Elvis and Annette Funicello. In no just, pure land would chicken and waffles join together in one dish to the delight of any sane human’s palette. Purge yourself, and avoid this abomination at all cost! Repent!

We love Cypress Breakfast House. Been here many times for weekend brunch and the food is consistently delicious. My favorite is their eggs Benedict. The servers are friendly. Because it’s popular there is often a line, but it’s worth the wait. Update: Today my omelette was not fully cooked. When I politely told them about it the manager argued with me about it and insisted I paid for the half of of it that I’d eaten. Review downgraded from 5 to 2 stars.

I was really excited to eat here, but my expectations were not met. I had the chicken and waffles. Sad to say the waffle didn’t have a good taste and I didn’t finish it. I had to leave some. The chicken and the batter they used was interesting.(24 Diner in Austin is still #1 to me.) I ordered 2 scrambled eggs. It was not the normal scrambled. It was like scrambled and cooked in a container because it came out stringy and connected.

I love eating breakfast here. The food and the service is amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone. This is better than IHOP and Dennis.

I came by here for breakfast during the week. It wasn’t packed but it was a nice crowd. I was greeted and immediately seated at a booth. My waiter came within 1 minute with a carafe of water. I had a craving for French toast so I already knew that was what I wanted. In addition to that, there was a meal which included French toast, sausage or bacon, 2 eggs & potatoes or grits. I opted for link sausage & potatoes. I looooove crispy potatoes so I was excited. But then again, food excites me lol Literally 5 minutes after my order was placed my food was ready. The French toast were dusted with powder sugar & dripped in this flavorful buttery which looked to have cinnamon or something on top. Soooooo gooooood! The sausage & eggs were both fine but they lost a star because my potatoes tasted like they’d been sitting since the Great Depression. They weren’t fresh or tasty. Major turnoff. Other than that, everything else went well. Customer service was great & this place is a nice change from the typical IHOP or Denny’s. I’ll definitely return.

The service here is great! The hostess was wonderful and went out of her way to make sure our table was clean and our server, Rudy, was very friendly and attentive. He recommended the popular dishes to us because it was our first time here. The interior was very homey/country style. The tables are placed close together and creates a causal and friendly vibe. We were greeted with glasses of water. I ordered some orange juice to start off and was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t freshly squeezed, but it wasn’t too bad. CHICKEN&WAFFLE– golden-fried, tender chicken, and Belgian waffle, served with honey mustard for dipping The chicken was moist, but the flavor and seasoning was lacking. The fried exterior was not crisp enough for my liking. It was disappointing because the chicken did not add much of a texture contrast with the waffle. I always like my chicken crisp and my waffles light and fluffy, but sadly this was not the case. The waffle fell flat for me. It wasn’t fluffy and airy. Overall, this dish didn’t do very well with me. MEXICANSKILLET– 3 Scrambled eggs with chorizo, fresh jalapenos & onions topped with mixed cheese, avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream, and chives This dish is considered one of their most popular dishes and I was real excited to try it. I love the acidity that is added by the pico de gallo and the creaminess from the avocado. The potatoes were dry though and made it really hard to swallow. The jalapenos added some nice heat. Overall, the dish wasn’t bad, but it was just a bit dry. I would come back to try their other dishes, but I don’t think I would come for breakfast/morning because their dishes are pretty big for me; so I’ll probably come for brunch/noon instead when my belly is ready for a big meal. Overall, the quality is not bad. They could use some improvement, but for the location, it’s fine. If this place was somewhere near other breakfast places than they wouldn’t hold up, especially for the price and quality of meal. The service is impeccable at the least and would be the main reason for my return.

BEWARE **Credit Card Theft** I recently went to this establishment while on vacation. This was the only place that we used a credit card. Less than a week later, the same credit card was used at a nearby clothing store for hundreds of dollars. I have reached out multiple times to the owners and have not been contacted back. Not only do they not care about their customers, they don’t care about what their employees get away with. Stay away form this restaurant! Crap service, crap management.

Came here for brunch after looking through the small amount of «brunch» serving restaurants in the Cypress Area. This place had decent reviews so thought I’d pop in to try it out. They do share a parking lot with Edojin and Subway so it was pretty busy. Came around 1:30? and was seated immediately on arrival. Ordered the Chicken & Waffles and a side of Hash browns. Food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken & waffles after seeing a picture on Unilocal and wished I didn’t. Got my hash browns first and downed it quickly. They were crispy and not too greasy. Finally got my entrée and bleh. Found a bunch of random pecans in my PLAINBELGIANWAFFLE would piss me off if I had a nut allergy. Maybe spend some time and NOT cross contaminate your batters. The fried chicken was not like any fried chicken i’ve ever had in my life. It looks like it were coated in the batter used to make fried fish filets. Not crispy, just greasy with a giant pool of oil sitting on top and the chicken inside was dry. No flavor whatsoever in the batter. Service was meh. I get extremely annoyed when waiters come around to ask if I ordered anything else. shouldn’t you know? It’s your job. I genuinely hate being overly critical of local businesses but I wouldn’t even take someone I hated here. Terrible experience.

Went back for a second round to try their chicken and waffles. The waffle itself was delicious and cooked perfectly. When I first got my order the manager had brought my meal out to me. He actually said that he felt they didn’t serve me enough chicken, so he had ordered extra for me on the house. I was surprised and pleased at the same time. When I tasted the chicken itself I’m not sure if they marinate it before battering it, but it felt very moist. It was almost to the point of squishy and I was a little nervous it was rawish. The 2nd piece of chicken they brought out to me was a little more on the crispy side so it definitely tasted a whole lot better. I’ll just take it as a fluke, I still thoroughly enjoy this place and will continue to come back to try more things on their menu.

Another splendid breakfast, we got here around 9:15 and there was nary a wait. Still good coffee, you get a nice carafe and thick mugs that don’t hold a lot but wait! there’s the fat carafe right in front of you! I think I poured four cups, hubs maybe three. You get a carafe for water too YAY and it’s yummy water(not tap water). Greeted and seated within just a few(under five) minutes. The tables are pretty tightly placed… I saw a gigantic man getting into the booths with no problem so if your girth is large, there’s a booth for you. Ordered a two egg, bacon, sourdough toast and fruit. Yes, the eggs still taste farm fresh. The bacon is thick, the sourdough toast thick and buttery. Hubs had a carnivore omelette and it was stuffed with bacon, sausage and another meat, but I don’t know what. He said there were three meats, though. Probably ham. His wheat toast looked hearty, he loves their hash browns. Bathrooms are one seaters but clean. Staff very friendly and not harried. Servers were wearing red shirts today and they looked appropriate, as opposed to what another reviewer said about them being dirty looking. The only untucked shirts I saw were busboys. Anyway, we love this place and will happily give Cypress Breakfast House our business any day of the week.
