Cy-Fair Mechanical

I am late writing this review — Cy Fair Mechanical installed our new A/​C system last summer however my delay has given me the chance to also comment on follow up service and care for customers since it has been a year!
First, his price to put in a completely new A/​C and heating system in our 3200 sq foot 5 bedroom home was 40% less than the next lowest bid. So low, in fact, we decided not to use him because we don’t believe in anything that is «too good to be true». His high ratings on review sites and a particular review on Angie’s List where they were also skeptical about his low prices calmed by fears and I gave him the job. I was watching carefully to see if they cut corners to try and figure out how his prices were so low. Not only did his crew do an awesome job, they did not cut any corners and in fact put higher quality ducts with a higher R value than the competition was quoting on the higher bids!
OK, so how is his follow up? I have had two issues since the initial install, and both times his crew was out to fix it the same day within hours of my call. The first issue was that I discovered that there was a leak of air conditioned air in a wall. They came out and determined it was one of my original air ducts that had a leak. Inspection revealed it had been leaking a long time — since before we owned the house. They spent about an hour and more of their new ducting to reroute my old duct and fixed it. To my surprise, there was no charge for this, that was clearly my issue and not anything they had done or failed to do. His answer to why they didn’t charge be for the service call, parts, and labor? Because they should have noticed it when they were here the first time. The second time I called him was about 2 months ago when my thermostat screen locked up. They were out within a couple of hours with a new thermostat and switched it quickly. No charge — all under their warranty.
I highly recommend this company, and if you are looking at spending tens of thousands on a new a/​c system and are in the Cypress area, I am happy to show off their work and my awesome dual zone /​dual compressor system they installed for us.

We had to bite the bullet and replace the coil unit in the attic. He got us a high-​efficiency, higher quality unit than the original unit for the same price. He and his crew did a great job and he gave us suggestions on how to make our AC run better.

He is amazing! My husband thought he could handle our A/​C unit himself when the fan blade wasn’t turning. However, he was wrong. It had been two days of barely any sleep and was late in the afternoon when we said we need help. We called Cy-​Fair Mechanical and David Moore came to our rescue. He was so helpful, knowledgable and and all around wonderful person. He was actually about to go to the store with his wife when we called. He stopped, turned around and headed our way to help us fix our unit. He didn’t have all the parts right there but he came back later that night with the part to finish fixing the unit. He had it fixed for us that night! He is so amazing! I will recommend him to everyone I know from now on!
