Kiara was an amazing waitress, and brightened our meal, which was in honor of my late father. The food was impressive and our overall experience was lovely. Thanks for a great time :)

Epically bad service! If you come in a golf cart from Windermere Country Club then you may get good service and the restaurant rests on this, but if you are not a regular good luck! We even had a manager apologize for the blatantly bag service and offer 2 free deserts… never received those! We asked for ANYTHING with chocolate and surprise, all out! Even asked the manager about this and she said«thank you»…what? Good luck to anyone who wants to pay $ 80 for 2 people and average food with below average service/management. Glad they have the country club behind them, they rest solely on that business.

Sub par food served by untrained kids. 6 meals at the table and only 1 was passable. My wife’s lasagna looked more like a bowl of pink curdled milk and their«Sunday gravy» is totally forgettable.

Let’s start with the end. The manager asked was everything«good» and she was not ready for honest feedback. I will just say this was a less than appetizing meal with untrained service. This is not genuine Italian food. That’s all.

Great food, great atmosphere. Love the bar and the wine list! It’s sad when your only complaint is that the portions are too big(if you are trying to diet)! They make everything from scratch and the quality shows! They defiantly«get it right»! This is a great local place, always friendly!

I stood in the doorway for probably 5 minutes without a weird from anyone. I kept thinking perhaps the hostess was seating someone and would come back. At least one waitress and one other person looked up and saw me without acknowledgement. I finally walked toward the bar after another couple left(and I tired of bar guests staring at awkwardly) to ask if I was supposed to seat myself. The bartender apologized, said someone was supposed to be there, said maybe they let the hostess go home, asked me what time it was to confirm the kitchen would still be open, then offered to let me chose my seat while she found the people who should have be helping me. The waitress was overly gracious, which may not have been so aggravating if I hadn’t been on my feet working for the previous 9 hours, looking forward to someone else cooking my meal, only to be greeted by silence and confusion in the restaurant I chose to spend my money. The spaghetti & meatballs I ordered came out quickly. The pasta was cooked the way I prefer(a little past al dente), but the meatballs were dry(not sauced at all) and bland. I was offered Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked pepper. I asked for Parmesan & a side of sauce. The Parmesan turned out to be the dry, powdered kind(seriously? I had shaved Parmesan in my car that I’d been snacking on at work: too bad I didn’t bring it in with me!). The sauce was OK, nothing to write home about. The spaghetti cost $ 10. The meatballs were $ 4(for two average sized meatballs). I will not bother returning to try the pizza or fettuccine as originally planned. I prefer to eat locally, but I could have gone to olive garden, gotten better service and similar food PLUS a salad for same price.(I would have had to pay another $ 5 to add a side or Cesar salad.) (I really wish I’d just gone to the gas station taco stand on lee street in Buford instead. They always greet me when I come in the door, prepare the food perfectly, and use fresh & real ingredients.) It was bad enough that despite my long day and my desire to get home and shower away my day, I’m sitting in the parking lot submitting this review so I remember not to come back.

If you’re going to pay $ 17 for chicken alfredo, it better not be microwaved cubes chicken that look like dog food and you better get $ 17 a plate service. The quality of the food for the price is TERRIBLE. This should be a $ 9 entrée. The service was awful. There was a clearly underage, 12 year old(not kidding, A CHILD) at the host stand like a deer in headlights not knowing what to do or how to help seat you, nor should she, she’s a child. Our waitress, was impersonal, and not confident about how to wait on us. Everyone in there looked like they were still in high school. The waitress was unapologetic in it taking almost an hour for our not-very-good food and knocked my arm off the table with the hot plate as she sat it down without saying a word. Her interactions throughout the restaurant were like a bull in a china shop. She avoided our table like the plague because she knew everyone in the restaurant was unsatisfied and upset with food and service. She probably got the advice to just avoid everyone from the manager who’s past experience must have been managing a huddle house because her«honey» attitude would be a better fit for a diner, not a restaurant with table cloths. The manager was unapologetic when my mother very politely complained. «Well, a bunch of people called out and we are short staffed and you chose to come out on a busy night near Christmas so that’s just what we are dealing with.» WHOHIREDTHISMANAGER? No wonder the staff didn’t know what to do if this is there leader. We watched tables come in and wait, never get service and leave. The table next to us was equally disgruntled at there food taking over an hour. I saw ATLEAST a dozen people who will never go back. Being short staffed is a nightmare for a restaurant, particularly around the holidays, but the manager should have been greeting every person walking in at the host stand, and apologetically explaining their situation for the evening, before people sit down. As a customer, after that, I can’t exactly be mad if it takes 10 minutes for someone to greet me if you’ve already warned me, and your kitchen should have prepared an easy/uncostly appetizer to have on hand to give to tables for free as a «thank you» for their patience while the food took so long. I can’t be mad with my mouth full! And for the guests you already screwed up with, you should have offered a free dessert or coffee, or given a $ 10 gift card to try again in the future(with most of your entrees being more than $ 10, you actually just guaranteed yourself future profit! duh!) and you should have apologized instead of defending your poor service with excuses and making customers pay for what they DIDN’T receive. If you had done ANY of these things, you would have lost less money than the money you will lose for people never returning to your restaurant. Your’e welcome. Get it together Quantro Basta. Hire a manager who knows how to guide their staff and do damage control, and let«honey» go back to the diner.

Terrible service and food. Will NEVER go here again! I was very disappointed and should have left when we first got there. Everything from start to finish was a disappointment !!

I really can’t speak for any of the other food there, but the chicken alfredo is some of the best I’ve had. Nice ambiance too.

Wonderful local restaurant that serves delightfully, fresh dishes. The grilled romaine salad with goat cheese is a meal in itself; the salmon grilled is juicy and well/seasoned. Often meals that are take-out are overlooked and lose the presentation. Not with this chef. Due to medical issues, we had to enjoy this meal at home. The mussels were tasty not chewy at all were basted in lemon juice and butter. Kudos to the owner and chef.

Quanto Basta Italian Bistro is the best restaurant around — bar none! Fresh, fresh food! Amazing staff! Beautiful ambiance! What more can one ask for in a dining experience. I have been going to Quanto Basta Italian Bistro almost every week since they opened years ago. Every time I go, they have new and exciting fresh specials! The everyday fare is consistently yummy. In all the years they have been open, I have brought business associates, acquaintances, friends, and family. They are an every-occasion restaurant and I have never been disappointing. Their prices are more than reasonable for excellent food and wine. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to eat in restaurants where the food tastes frozen or mass prepared and doesn’t use the quality ingredients that Quanto Basta uses. Dining at Quanto Basta is an experience for all the senses! Soft lighting, mellow music, audacious aromas, comfortable elegant seating and scrumptious tastes! Absolutely the best deal for your time and money!

I will say I have eaten here A LOT, as it’s one of my Mother’s favorite places for good food and wine. I do, however, concur with many of the other reviewers, while the food is generally quite good, the service is more often than not somewhat slow. The owners are a great couple of guys who have really dedicated their establishment towards good food and wine. I really wish they would put a bit more effort into service and on occasion overall consistency. I really enjoy the brunch and they have a cheesecake you will never forget too :)

First of all, we didn’t eat a full meal. We came in for appetizers and drinks before a rehearsal dinner. That said, the service was fantastic though granted we were just about the only people in the restaurant. The staff did a good job of dealing a with a large group of guys who were maybe a little louder than we should have been(but again there was no one else there). The apps were good. The antipasta was particularly good and they had a an app special that was a risoto crab cake that was delicious. The calimari, however, was not the best I’ve ever had by far. The drink selection was good. I had two fun martinis that were delicious. Would recommend it at least for drinks and apps, but I don’t know much about the full meals since we didn’t eat them.

We haven’t been here since it changed management a couple of years ago. The bar area is nicely done and well appointed. Martini’s are a bit pricey but well made. The dining room seems to be more upscale than the actual food. The table bread was pretty good though the olive oil dip was a bit bland. I ended up having the veal serpitino(I think it was called). It was pretty good. The wife sent back her lasagna because it more resembled soup. Her chicken piccata replacement was good. No marks off there. Overall a pretty good experience with friendly service.

Not a good value, slow, sloppy service. I ordered the scallop special, and an hour later, I got my order-four, very salty scallops, some under cooked potatoe slices, and a handful of greens, for the bargain price of $ 26(that’s $ 6.50 per scallop). The waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted a salad, but she did ask if I wanted wine while my water glass was still empty(I mention this because half of our table had water). I’ve eaten here three times because my sister likes it. It makes her feel special because he comes by and says«hi». I need a little more than that.

We ate here last night with a small group. We were all disappointed with the service, not the waiter, but the management of the entire restaurant. While our waiter tried to do things to get our drinks, orders, food, the entire back of the house is too slow. Ordering drinks was a snap with our waiter, but it took a full 20 minutes before the drinks appeared. At one point I told our waiter to stop what ever he was doing and go get my drinks now. He did. We were all sitting and talking when someone noticed we had been there for 45 minutes and still had not ordered food. We got the waiter and rattled off some appetizers. It took a long time for those to arrive. Thank goodness we then ordered food while we were waiting for the appetizers to appear. Sometime In between orders we placed a second drink order… OMG, another long wait. We decided to order wine, luckily our waiter got Jenny who was not only extremely knowledgable about the wine list she was down right excited about talking about them and came to the table with three bottles to try. She was outstanding. When the food did arrive(and actually quicker now because the resturaunt was now emptying out) the food was very good. Everyone enjoyed all their meals. The one note I wish to impart on management /owners is that we are waiting too damn long to get drinks and food. You need someone in the front of the house to watch and manage(or speed up the back of the house… what on earth are they doing back there). This was not a one time thing. We have been in your restaurant many times and the results have been the same. Services just too damn slow. Your food is good, atmosphere is enjoyable, just speed up the service(but at the same time don’t rush us… I also hate speed eating). Perhaps just have someone walk around and check on each table and see what they are waiting on… more bread would be nice… but not after 30 minutes as was the case. And speed up the drinks… you will make money on alcohol. We could order more alcohol because it took so long.

The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you’re hungry again. George Miller «Quanto Basta» translates to «How much is enough?», which is a question I should have asked myself before finishing the third basket of bread! Upscale, yet comfortable with a great menu of Italian classics. Service is excellent, food is fantastic. Bread and Olive Oil was brought out quick while we scanned the menu. Our table consisted of vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, and carnivore, and there were options for all. I had a made to order lasagna and it was incredible. Wine list here is impressive and priced fairly. This place is perfect for almost any occasion, from family, to date, to business, to just sitting at the bar. So, how much is enough? When it comes to Quanto Basta, I can’t get enough!
