Sooo good. Homemade ice cream that kids love. Coconut ice cream with shredded coconut is delicious. Definitely glad we tried this place. Kids gobbled up the birthday cake and bubble gum cones.

La Michoacana Ice Cream Shop serves up authentic Mexican treats as well as some great ice cream! This is a wonderful family owned and operated shop. The ice cream is made locally each week, and this is definitely reflected in the quality of the product. the flavors run from traditional vanilla, to fun Bubble Gum, Coconut, and Rum Raisin, to AWESOME exotic fruit tastes such as Mamey and Guanabana! These flavors are not fancy they are just straight up good. The ice cream is served in cones and cups, generous two scoop small cup runs $ 1.40, putting all competitors to shame. Fresh juices are $ 4 and include carrot, orange, pineapple, celery, apple, beet, and cucumber. Refreshing drinks known as «Aguas Frescas»(Spanish: fresh waters) are served and include such flavors as Tamarindo, made with tamarind pods, Horchata which is made with rice and cinnamon, Sandia(watermelon), Pineapple, Strawberry, and Melon. La Michoacana Ice Cream Shop also serves up «Paletas», fresh fruit Popsicles. These are brought in, but high quality. Fruit is first ingredient and so, so good. If some of these ice cream and aguas frescas flavors are new to you, the owners are very generous with samples to help you find your favorite. The service here is warm and friendly. Lastly, you know you are in an authentic Mexican establishment when Esquite is on the menu! Esquite is basically corn on the cob, but in a cup. Huh? Corn kernels are sliced off the cob and served with lime, mayonnaise, cojita cheese, and chile powder in a cup. Ok, so I haven’t had the nerve to try this yet, but look for my update when i do! La Michoacana Ice Cream Shop is the real deal, authentic Mexican sweet shop that beats the pants off other ice cream shops. There is nothing like putting some ice cream in your mouth when you are in the middle of Cumming!
