We have tried them several times, and while the people are friendly and the facility nice, the food is so so. Not bad, but not a stand out either. There are several other BBQ restaurants locally, both small one store shops and franchises. Jim N Nick’s is ok, but not so much that we would go again.

First time at this place and overall I was pleased. Pros– fast service! Got seating right away during Saturday rush and food was out within ten min of ordering. Friendly servers too. Kids menu was at a great price $ 4 and under. Cons– fries were not fresh or hot. Not many vegetarian options except 1 soup, salad.(Yeah yeah I get its not their specialty!) would prefer two or three soup options. I would go back, mainly for my meat eating husband

Finally — a BBQ restaurant that I can get excited about. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Jim N Nick’s from several people(hubby included) but never had the opportunity to visit one myself. We popped in for a late lunch after running some errands and I’m now a fan. Our experience from start to finish was smooth and efficient and the food was damn near perfect. Here’s how the lunch unfolded: — we park the car, noting that the lot is just about full(slightly after 1PM) — walk in the door, are greeted and seated immediately — our server appears with menus and silverware, then comes back immediately with water and some seriously delish cheese mini muffins — we review the menu, make our decisions and place the order — our food arrived after no more than a 10 minute wait and IT. WAS. AWESOME On to the menu — Jim N Nick’s offers the usual option of sandwiches or plates, but for those BBQ purists out there, the good news is that they also offer honest to goodness vinegar/pepper based BBQ sauce. They also have a ketchup based sauce but my soul rejoiced to see the vinegar sauce, so I asked for extra. The pulled pork was tasty and tender on its own, but the sauce takes it to another level. Jim N Nick’s has a great selection of sides as well. I had the collard greens and coleslaw. The greens were outstanding: tender and flavorful. While I really liked the coleslaw, the greens were so good that I’ll get a double order of them next time. The price point for entrees is remarkably reasonable and the portions are large. The service gets high marks as well — quick and attentive. My water glass was never empty and our empty plates were whisked away. This is a BBQ restaurant worth the drive.

Friendly service and a nice BBQ environment elevates the food. Pricing is a little high for the fare, but not a reason to avoid. You may wait for a table on the weekends, but a covered patio eases the pain for nice days. Personal favorite is the steak — extra seasoned.

Great place to enjoy a few whiskey cocktails and excellent bbq. Anytime bbq comes up in conversation this is the place I talk about. Andrew the bartender knows his stuff

I’m a regular at this particular location and have had my favorites, like the pulled chicken with their Morgan County White Sauce, awesome… their Brunswick stew, and terrific kids’ meals… but today, surpassed even these favorites. It was Taco Tuesday, and I had never tried their tacos before… but I was craving something different… so I tried a pulled chicken taco and a catfish taco… I was so surprised, they were the best tacos I have ever had anywhere. Beat their neighbor, Cheeky’s, tacos by far. I had to tell my waitress to compliment the chef, kiddos Jim and Nick’s, who would have thought?! I’ve been missing out on these for years and, like I said, I’m a regular at your restaurant. I will now be a Tuesday regular!!!

Great local BBQ choice and they have a drive-through. Everything we have tried has been delicious and freshly cooked. We’ve had the ribs, pulled pork and turkey. The service is always friendly and prompt

I have been a travel writer and food critic for more than twenty-eight years their food is delicious. Everything is fresh no frozen food. The onion rings are great. I love the turkey breast it is so good. The slaw is spicy and just right with any of the barbecue selections. The corn muffins are always hot and filled with cheese. The parking lot is full and the drive the same why because the food is good. Try the peanut butter pie not too sweet and has a delicious crumbly crust.

I recently visited Jim ‘N Nick’s for the first time. I walked and placed a takeaway order. One pound of spare ribs with collard greens and potato salad. Overall, the ribs were good and tender. Although, slightly greasy than some spare ribs I have eaten in the past. The sides or «trimmings» as they are called here, were good. I plan to visit again to try their baby back ribs and smoked chicken. The Bourbon selection may be a reason to dine-in on a future visit.

YUM. Who lives in the south and doesn’t love BBQ? The food here is yummy and tastes fresh. I love their little corn muffins they bring out to the table as well! Clean and friendly atmosphere. I was greeted by a hostess when I came in. I sat near the expeditor and kitchen area but it wasn’t very noisy. As I waited for my friend to arrive the server came over and introduced himself. I forgot him name but he was friendly. I told him I would be there a while because I’m catching up with a friend I haven’t seen in a year. Throughout the meal he was always there but never intrusive. Our drinks were always full and our order came out correct. I got a pulled pork sandwich with extra pickles(SOYUM). We didn’t get dessert because we were too full! We left after an hour and a half and my server said bye as were leaving the front door. Great place!

Visiting from Hawaii! This was my favorite meal by far on my trip, great BBQ! Wish I came here earlier! Tried collard greens for the first time and they were delicious! Brisket was my favorite meat on my plate!!!

Just an average BBQ place. The waitress was friendly and checked back frequently which was nice. I did the pick two platter and while it had an okay flavor the meat was only warm, not hot. The chicken had a smoke flavor which was good but the white sauce I could have done without. The pulled pork had no flavor aside from the cold sauce put on top of it. The Mac n Cheese was a weird combination of cheese, but was also served cold. Overall it is an okay lunch spot for atmosphere and probably if the food was served hot would have been much better. I probably would try again if in the area. They seemed busy so maybe I just had a «one off» experience. Also was a little surprised I was charged for soda refills, don’t see that very often anymore. Especially with fountain soda.

I think this place is my favorite barbecue spot. I ordered the North Carolina pork with fried green tomatoes and potato salad. Pulled pork was smoky and vinegary. It was my favorite pulled pork style. However, you can always get the regular pulled pork with their regular barbecue sauce. Green tomatoes were my favorite side dish. Big pieces, crunchy and fresh. Potato salad on the other hand was my least favorite. This side dish needs to be fixed. It is super dry for a potato salad. I had also chili bowl. It tasted great. I enjoyed it so much. Not to forget that cheese bread is everyone’s favorite. With that combination of clean restaurant, delicious food and awesome service, no one would have a bad experience. I am glad I returned to Jim and Nicks because it reminded me of what I have been missing.

I love Jim n Nicks! Every time I get in this area, I make a stop. I enjoyed them in Alabama for years and was glad to find one in the Atlanta area. Great turkey, moist not dry, and their brisket is phenomenal. Southern sides that are delicious as well. Large portions so it is enough for me to share.

Ok, this is the place to get good baby back ribs and cheese biscuits. THAT’s IT!!! I love you Jim N Nick’s, but your sides are awful. The macaroni and cheese is so bad that out of 6 people not one of us could stomach more than a spoonful. PUHLEEZ do something about that mac and cheese IMMEDIATELY. Kraft box mac would be a step up. I would give you 5 stars if I hadn’t tried those sides. The potato salad was even worse than the mac.
