came here with my family, and we were pleasantly surprised. on the outside, it isn’t the prettiest place, nor is it in the best location, but on the inside it is cozy i guess. we ordered the P.E.T. which is pumpkin, eggplant, and tofu, in a sweet sauce with fresh basil, and the spicy basil eggplant with peppers. the dishes, even though the are similar, were really good. also, i had the young coconut to drink, which tasted so fresh. yay everyone come here it’s good.

Our first time ordering and we are just grateful that a Thai restaurant delivers to our area:). Food came in the expected time– about an hour– which is like most delivery places delivering over here in the hills. The food was delicious and to our specifications. My favorite was the drunken noodle:) because I like spicy things and they executed the seasoning and taste really nicely. Also the pad Thai was great because some restaurants put food coloring or something in the noodles to make them a very vibrant orange– these noodles looked perfectly natural and tasted delicious. My family and I were very happy with both taste and the portion size.

I placed an order for delivery yesterday and it took over an hour for the food to get to me. They said they got busy. The drunken noodles were very oily. The orange chicken was sharp, crunchy and dry and the orange flavor was almost non existent. The crab fried rice was basically fried rice with a tablespoon of crab meat at the top. I also ordered the pumpkin curry. It was nice. They did not provide menus but it’s ok since I will not get food from them again. The person who took my order was very, very nice. I gave two stars for his sweetness.

Not the best, but service is always friendly and the food is definitely worth the price.

This place is great:) I’ve traveled throughout Thailand, and the cuisine is authentic, bursting with flavor. I live next door, and this spot makes it hard to try other Thai restaurants!

Really like this place for delivery or take out thai. It’s a bit different from the 100 other thai places as they have Khao Soi which is like noodles and chicken in a coconut broth soup. It’s really good. Highly recommend for a quick dinner. Yes the parking lot is small so park on the side street. The Thai iced tea is good too.

Pleasantly surprised… I was feeling like having phở on this chilly eve and the most local place to me charges $ 7 delivery fee(Phorage…ridiculous). I started looking thru Eat24 options and found The Taste Kitchen. I’ve prob passed by them a hundred times but never paid attention… prob a good idea because if there’s any indication that it might be a dump there’s no chance I’d go in or order. The food was far from anything dumpy. The soup was great and everything tasted fresh. I also got the orange tofu with rice and nothing felt greasy, over or under cooked. I’m not a fan of the more popular Thai place around me(Natalee) but I think The Taste Kitchen is great and I’ll definitely order again. Not to mention the hour I was quoted for delivery… and prepared to wait… was more like half that time. I really appreciated the service and the food… and the leftovers that I’m sure will be great tomorrow :)

As far as cheap delivery, this is my new fave spot! The food is great; delivery is free and fast and there is always an offer for a free drink. I have now ordered 3 or 4 times and have enjoyed everything. My favorites are… Pineapple Fried Rice: So good! I’ve never had pineapple fried rice anywhere else, so maybe I’m not the best judge, but it sure is tasty. It is served with chicken, shrimp, and cashews. Plus, it’s a really big portion and I had the leftovers for lunch the next day. Freshy Rolls: Yum! Stuffed full with veggies and tofu and sauce it really good. They cut them diagonally and fall apart a bit, so next time I will ask them to not cut in half. Chicken Salad: Really good dressing! A nice healthy option. Funny, I remember ordering the Pad Thai once, but I can’t remember eating it. So… the pad thai is not memorable, not good and not bad. I once ordered the appetizer sampler, when I was needing some fried food. It was all amazing… if you’re craving fried food lol. They always offer me a free drink because I hit the min order, so I’ve tried all the choices. The lemonade is really good, but the Iced coffee and Thai Iced Tea were not the best.

Hee hee hee! I have a funny one for you! I had the desire for Thai food when my family was out of town. I looked on Unilocal, and you all led me to the Taste Kitchen. As it was just me dining, I thought I would order some rice noodles to go and call it a night. Well, when I arrived, the food was not ready. I thought maybe a little soup too would be in order as I had a tickly throat. I added Tom Yum Kai to the order. I saw the free Thai Tea if I ordered one more dish, so I added Panang Curry. I thought I should order lunch too, so I added Pineapple Rice, and by the end of this session, I ended up with five dishes for just little old me! I really enjoyed the flavor of each dish I ordered at this little restaurant. It fed me for almost a week! It will be a staple, especially if I have to feed a crowd of me, myself, and I!

There are so many Thai places in this area and I think I’ve tried 99% of them. This one is one of my favorites. I ordered off eat24 with free delivery and it came within 30 min. I ordered tom yum noodle soup and combination fried rice and it came with free lemonade. The tom yum soup is so tasty and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Combo fried rice is hard to mess up but this one or legit. Will definitely keep ordering from this place.

This is such a great spot – hole in the wall Thai with some seriously good flavors. It’s on a busy corner/set of corners with a small parking lot and probably 6 tables. They obviously specialize in takeout, as there are giveaways with each takeout order over a certain dollar amount. I had pumpkin curry with vegetables, and the pumpkin was so delicious dredged in the red curry. It wasn’t too spicy(even though it had a fire sign next to it, it wasn’t) but had a great flavor. I added a bit more spice to it to make it pop/clear the nasal passages. I got a coffee but she forgot to ring it in when we were done… and I wanted karma to be my guide and so I told them and they charged me. What goes around comes around, you know? They have a $ 10 minimum on cards and it’s pretty cheap, so bring cash.

Though this cozy place is not really as popular as say, Natalee Thai or whichever other Thai place around here, i’ve heard they have«The Best Khao Soi» in L.A. Let me tell you, that rumor did not disappoint one bit! Everything blended well– Veggies, Broth, Meats, Condiments, Both Noodles, Everyhing! It was really Awesome! I will definitely be back to try more things on their menu. Plus+ They have quite a few entrees with Pumpkin in it. Given this is near Halloween time, I can’t wait for my next fix here. Price of Entrees are decently cheap considering the fantastic quality and servings that come in each meal! Thai Tea is a bit steep but again, the decently low prices of the Entrees more than make up for it & I definitely don’t mind paying for good quality! The Beautiful Owner is a Sweetheart! The Skinny Server is Best, followed by the Petite little girl that usually works with him. Parking is tight on this small lot. More parking along Papa John’s or the Side Street. Parking on Sepulveda looks sketchy with all the traffic whizzing by really fast. I think they close for an hour and a half around 3 – 4:30pm. I came on a Tuesday and this was the case.

Definitely excellent Thai delivery! I ordered pad see ew and green curry chicken and I loved them both. This is some of the best pad see ew I’ve ever had. It is chock full of chicken and broccoli — really good balance between noodles, protein and veg. I usually throw soy sauce on my pad see ew but didn’t have to because it was very flavorful. The green curry has good flavor and was yummy with the nutty brown rice. We ordered it medium and it didn’t have much heat at all so if you like it spicy — you may want to order it spicy. Only drawback is the curry was pretty light on the chicken — throw some more protein in and back off the bamboo shoots(yummy, but cheap filler!) I took a star off because my husbands pad prik was just ok — decent, but not amazing. The nutty brown rice we ordered was good though. Delivery was also very reasonable. It came in under an hour and this is at prime rush hour time. Would most definitely order from here again !

I ordered on eat24 and the food arrived quickly! Everything was delicious. We ordered a few things as the«medium» level of spicy and some as mild. The medium was pretty spicy(and I think I have a fairly high spice tolerance). We got orange chicken, chow mien, yellow vegetable curry(it has LOTS of vegetables), pineapple fried rice, fresh rolls and with a $ 30 order you get either two free drinks or a free dessert! Minus one star because we ordered 3 sides of rice and didn’t get any :(What is curry without rice?!

Taste Kitchen isn’t like the trendy, modern Asian restaurants popping up around the Westside. Unless you’re looking for it, you’ll probably miss the restaurant, as I only spotted it from Sepulveda by the restaurant’s sign advertising«Thai Cuisine». Apparently the type of cuisine is more marketable than the restaurant name? The restaurant is clean but small with only 5 – 6 tables in the entire place, and much of the furniture is noticeably from Ikea — I have the same table and chairs! The lack of patrons in the restaurant during prime dinner time on a Tuesday evening leads me to believe that the majority of Taste Kitchen’s business is take-out or delivery. That would seem to be confirmed by the fact that several patrons walked in to pick-up orders. Strangely, there seemed to be more workers(possibly the owners?) in the restaurant than actual guests, but service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a semi-extensive menu that features most things you would expect from Thai restaurants. That being said, it doesn’t have the same quantity of items that you might find at a place in Thai Town. Nonetheless, if all you want is pad thai and curry, then you’ll probably all right here. Following the recommendations of other reviewers, I ordered the Khao Soi($ 7.95), which the menu describes as egg noodle with chicken, crispy wonton, green and red onion in yellow curry. Overall, I was satisfied with my dish, but didn’t think it was the best thing I had ever eaten. The curry had a rich coconut flavor, but wasn’t spicy as advertised. The crispy wonton noodles were perfectly fried and the overabundant boiled egg noodles were neither overly mushy or chewy. I was also provided a small dish of accoutrements, such as lime, chili, onion, that added fresh, crisp flavors to the dish. My friend ordered the P.E.T.($ 8.25), a sautéed vegetable dish with pumpkin, eggplant, tofu, bell pepper and chili. The vegetables definitely seemed fresh, and the flavors of the dish were good thanks to the basil and spice. However, it was odd that his dish cost more than mine despite the lack of conventional protein. As is the unfortunate case at most Thai restaurants, rice, white($ 1.50) or brown($ 1.75), was an additional cost. Is this the best Thai restaurant on the Westside? Probably not, but it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for delivery and live nearby. If you have the time and energy to brave traffic, I’d still recommend and prefer going to Thai Town for quality Thai food.
